Water Temp: 48-50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hit the north fork area first with crankin and ripin, got two smallies. As long as we had ripples on the water that was working ok. Jigs worms and Lizards on a split shot fishing in 20-30 ft near Beal's Point also was working. Find the warmest water and start looking for the bed fish in shallow water around small rock with sand. The south fork did nothing for us this trip.
City: Rocklin -
Water Temp: 53+
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished sunday and monday evening for 1.5 hrs and landed 2 fish on each outing. Kreature baits up shallow and throwing a watermelon tube. buddy got nice 3+ Lb spot on a rip and another on a spinnerbait shallow. This warm weather really seems to be moving the fish up shallow.

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out in main body, nada, fish have moved to up river or creek channels. Tried one of my favorite creeks, threw swim bait nada, picked up a jig and whammo, 10 lbs for three. Wind changed, coming from northeast, my next spor the wind was going wrong way. Went past Jack's tried the old bridge, two bites, probably trout. Met up with a friend of mine , we shared catches and shot hte bull. His catch included a kicker and he took a photo of it. We dumped all our fish and left to go up river.
City: scaTips: Like I said yesterday, the fish are starting to move as me and another friend each caught them in four feet. We saw a youngster catch twoo around us. Take it up the creeks and prespawn areas. Good fishing, jimbo

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Started out early on main points \,nada went to small creek with swim bait, two bites , no hook ups , probable trout. Went up river, three bites and one three pound spot. Later moved up to bridge to see if migration had started and behold the caro were there. (what does this mean?) You can catch bass if there are carp. Got bit and left .
City: sacTips: see yah tomorrow, upriver. let's take a chance to see if the bite is better there. Water temp rose to 52 at noon.

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: We tried everything without luck. We did photograph a 7.3 pound largemouth that was caught by Barry who was fishing nearby and asked us to take his picture. Excellent bass on a Spinner Bait off a rocky point in less than 15 feet of water.
City: SacramentoTips: Try everything and then let me know what worked!

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out daybreak to launch before ABA tourney started. First bite at 8:00 on an 8" swim bait (listed before), spotted bass a little over four pounds in 35 Ft. (pull, drop to bottom technique). A few areas I tried did not gain results, so I went to one of my holes up South Fork before New York on o break and finished out a limit of blacks and spots for a total of 18 lbs plus. The black was the biggest of the bunch, all fish after the first one were caught on 1/4 oz brown jigs (my design). Bites were slow coming about 45 minutes apart, just working the bait back and forth on a feeding platform dropping off to the 70Foot break. All fish released on the spot.
City: sacTips: Try some productive areas and techniques and if they don't work, try your holes and REALLY GO SLOW. Dragging a jig in 25-55FT all day is sometimes what it takes. "C" rigs with mojos and morning dawn worms should get you a good bag. Drag against the wind to slow down, I saw several boats today going with the wind and that's just too fast. Good fishing, Jimbo

Report: Took out our priest for a relaxing day on the water.

City: RosevilleTips: Keep the trolling motor down and fish!

Water Temp: 51 at 6:30 a.m.
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished up by muddy water at NY creek, caught two keepers on 1/4 oz brown jigs. Left for main body but wind was howling with three foot swells, made a few casts and left around nine.
City: sacTips: Should have stayed, got to Sac and saw overcast was approachiung causing the wind to temporarily blow. Make sure and read weather forcast before you go, I didn't, shame on me. Good luck

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We caught all our fish on main lake points on fist size rock flat points. We used jig heads with watermelon or green pumpkin twin tail hula grubs. Kimberlee (8 years old) had the biggest fish of the day at about 2 pounds on a home poured 6" worm drop shot rig!
City: SacramentoTips: If your fishing slow...............slow down! All our bites came when we barely moved the bait.

Water Temp: 8.6 Eary, by 11
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Water color was mudier upstream, Brown's Ravine was clearer. Fish and game planted trout yesterday about 10a.m. so I started out with swimbaits all around Hobie Cove with no bites. Left there and checked out river upstream, bad conditions and little bait showing. Came back to main body using jerk baits, dropshot, jigs, swimbaits, still not even one bite. I left at around eleven, maybe tomorrow will be better with this weather system moving in.
City: sacTips: If they don't bite, go small and slow, if they still don't bite go home and do some "honey-dos". Good fishing Jimbo

Water Temp: 48 on surface
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Wow, what a no bite. Finally got one at 11;30 ON A JIG IN 35 FEET, MAIN BODY HUMP. I asked two other bassmen and they didn't get a bite.
City: sacTips: There was a lot of bait, fish etc, layered at 40-50 feet. The mud line in the South moved all the way down past Deep Ravine. There is debri so if you intend to go, watch out. I don't know how to catch bass after a storm like that during this time of year. Any suggestions. (realistic ones)

Water Temp: Didnot check-Su
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out earlywith first bite coming at 7:30 and the next one at 8:30, that was it, about 5.5 lbs. Fished up river (South) at mudline edge got the first one, moved to Deep Ravine and connected with the second one. It was tough the way I was fishing as I look for big bass and seldom drag a bait.
City: sacTips: I use the same jig as yesterday and both bass were on it without a sensation of a bite, just pressure. Keep in contact with your bait even if you have to close your eyes to get thew feeling.
Good fishing Jimbo -
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Got to the lake about 8:30. Fished with a white grub and a minnow jig head and caught 2 bass. About 11:30 caught a salmon on the jig head and grub. All the fish were in about 20-40 feet deep.
City: rosevilleTips: Fish really slow use a jig head and grub. Reel it in really slow

Report: went out today and i got skunked. it was a tough day it started out with a flat tire then we headed up the south fork hit a couple points with nadda. ill get them next time with a better rain suit....lol
Tips: its pretty cold when wet so bring a good rain suit
-
Water Temp: 49-50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: As Jim said "damn wind and rain".I almost wimped out and stayed indoors.Good thing I decided to go for it.I went up to the north fork and threw the huddleston for an hour with no takers. Then I switched over to a rip bait on the wind blown bank.First fish right away 4lbs,then two 2lbers,then a monster 5lber on a wind blown point.caught 7 total lost 3.best 5 went almost 15lbs.off the water by 12:30.this storm stacked the fish right on the shore.i hope i can get out there tomorrow.i will try and post up pics.
City: citrus heightsTips: throw your rip bait on the wind blown banks and rip your heart out.good luck
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Rain, wind, rain, widier, rain really windy. Tossed jigs in 5-15 feet of water on windward bank. Brown 1/8 oz for shallow rocks. All were spots up to 3.5 lbs for a limit of about 14 lbs Some tapped it, some thumped it hard, some were just there. Left at 10;00 A.M., I was not comfortable, everywhere I went there was swirling wind and it was getting worse.
City: sacTips: Try lighter jigs up shallow especially in rocks and use a slow fall type bait or whatever tied to it. Drop-shotting rod stayed in locker because of wind but that may have been a mistake, you decide what you would have done. All fish were caught in the South Fork. Good fishing Jimbo
