    Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My son and I went out this past weekend and caught several fish on jigs and C-Rigs. We concentrated on points and secondary points in the North Fork. The wind speed was at 7 – 10 mph and it was tolerable for most of the day, we moved in and out of coves for protection. My son was pretty excited and very entertained with the amount of action we were presented with. My son stated numerous times that the best part of the day was when we casted out our rods and sat down for lunch. During that period with his thought away from fishing and concentrating on his meal he nailed the biggest fish of the day weighing in at 3.9 pounds. Needless to say we average about 2 fish per hour for 6 hours. All fish were caught and released safely to be caught another day. Tight Lines.

Report: Just as I thought, the sheep would pull the race card. I've tried to talk to the poachers but they don't speak the language of this land. It's not profiling if its only one certain community raping our waters. If the fish aren't being sold for profit, what are they doing with the fish? If they were truely out there because they love the sport and want to keep some fish for dinner, then no problem. This is not the case. Pull your head out of your a$$ basskilla.

Report: Hey fisherman/basskilla/catch a release, wake up fools! You are a bunch of politically correct sheep! Do you think it's ok for some fresh-off-the-boat foreigners to extract our gamefish from our lakes and sell them at Asian markets and filthy restaurants? Do you think they share the same passion for bass fishing like you and I? Its obvious what's going on and dfg knows it but untill we stand up and say we've had enough, nothing will happen. Stand up for our sport and protect what's ours lemmings. Call CALTIP when you see the straw hat gang. The point pherrol was trying to make was they are out there everyday, 5 fish times 10 people. Do the math. Do you think that is right? I will not sit back and let this happen and either should you.
    City: Folsom

Tips: 10 rods and a bucket of minnows. Don't forget your flip flops and your lucky straw hat.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: A man caught 5 fish in a day for 5 yrs. He ate 3 each day. Gave 2 each day to farrol's wife cuz she hate eating his meat. Every other day she sticks one up his arse for 5 yrs and every other wk she sticks one on herself. Now we should all do the math. Farrol has to ask us to count cuz the idiot only has 8fingers,4 toes, n a brain of a size of a chest nut. Btw guess where dez nuts r at ? Lol . Go bark on southern California where they keep taken out water supplies.

Report: worked dike8/folsom pt.... picked up 2 spots on morning dawn dropshot....nothing else. just good to be out.
hey pharrol, were those bass you saw being taken and kept? or were they trout? don't be so hard on those who keep their fish. a limit is a limit and as much as we like our sport, if the fish and game sees fit to allow the 5 per person limit, then it is what it is. i grew up eating fish and a limit would barely feed a family. and i recall catching as many rock cod 5" tp 8" at hunter's point naval shipyard in san francisco when my dad was in viet nam and we lived on the base. i practice catch and release, but i don't knock those who don't. i DO REPORT poachers though and if you believe they're poaching, then report them. otherwise, they can have their limit.
    City: folsom

Tips: i guess work it slow...dead stick or just eat lunch in between casts.

Report: Dead sticking watermelon tubes for a decent day with 13 spots by browns ravine rangjng from 1-2.5 lbs that was ALL RELEASED!!. My 4th trip out in 2 weeks and seen the same fellas on the bank everytime and evertime they hooked up it went to the stringers. 4 strawhats=20 fish. 20 fish x 4 days = 80 fish. One month 160. You do the math. Catch only what u need and release what u dont. Save some for your grandkids. Theres alot more other species of fish you can also eat. Please practice catch and release instead of catch everthing to keep

Report: Hello Basskeeter...thanx big time for the insights on your slow-rolling technique...makes alot of sense and I think my brother and I have tried similar...I think you're knowledge of the transition points seems like a key component so we'll be practicing that more...really appreciate the details you provided! We launched today around 930am at Dike8 (oops, Folsom Point) and worked along the dike to the table top. Saw fish suspended and at the bottom but couldn't entice them. I'm thinking I wasn't that confident they'd be in a biting mood. Moved up to some points and coves in the S.Fork..water was a couple degrees colder. Saw fish on the graph but still couldn't spark anything. Tried 5" senkos, 4" worms at the bottom and Staysee90 for the suspended fish we saw. Oh yeah, also tried counting down a fluke on a scrounger head that worked a couple months ago for suspended but no hits today. Still glad to be out and still had fun trying!
    City: folsom

Tips: Can't offer anything up but i'm sure gonna work on Basskeeter's technique he was cool enough to provide. Thanx Basskeeter!!!

    Water Temp: no thermometer

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: couldn't take the boat out so went to folsom point and fished the rocky point just below the picnic tables at the turnaround. some trout fisherman didn't mind me casting my junebug senko while they fished. caught a few 1 - 1.5lbers just deadstickin' and then shakin' or poppin' it up. a couple hit it on the initial fall. rather be in the boat but this helped fill the urge to fish.
    City: folsom

Tips: if fishing from shore, look for the sides of the point and try and work the bait from the side and let it fall. gotta parallel cast out to the side of the point.
hey basskeeter..thanx for the report. i'm a little confused though... you said slow rolling in 15-25ft. was that with the c-rig and t-rig? if so, i'm not sure what you mean by slow rolling. sorry, not trying to put you down...just not sure how to connect slow rolling with c-rig / t-rig, if that's what you mean. i'm open to learn!!

    Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My son and I fished the North Fork and Folsom Point over the New Year’s weekend. I caught several fish slow rolling in 15 to 25 feet of water. Biggest fished came in at 3.4 pounds but, we also caught several fish in the 1 1/2 to 2 pounds. The fishes are looking very healthy with tight bellies in preparations to the spring spawn. We stayed in areas that had a lot of rocks and worked the points that had transitional structure changes from rocks to grass bottom.

    Tight Lines.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Carolina Rig and Texas Rig was the method used that produce fish. Lure of choice were GYB senkos (oxblood) and large 6inch (ALL white) flukes. Majority of the bites came on the pause after a few jerks.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Couldn't take the boat out decided to fish from shore at Dike8, oh excuse me, Folsom Point. Parked at the turnaround picnic area and walked down to the rocky point on the left. (took advantage of the usual carp fishermen not being there). Started with white fluke/scrounger head and got bumped twice but didn't stay on. started throwing the go-to junebug 5" senko weightless... about the 10th cast rod started moving to the right on the fall, set the hook for a nice 2lber. Threw to the same area and picked up another 1-lber then nothing else. Fun just to be out fishing the shoreline and bonus to catch.
    City: folsom

Tips: Not much to offer...was only out on a Sunday I couldn't take the boat out. I looked for rocky points and fished the sides, fan casting and twitching the bait on the fall, 2x pause, 3x pause...hits came on the pause/fall.

    Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took the family out for a few hours late afternoon. After around 4pm we found fish slamming bait in the North Fork outside the 5mph buoys. We ended up with a mix of 14 spots and smallmouth up to about 2 lbs, with several others lost at the boat. All but one were caught on Scroungers with silvery bait fish-like trailers (e.g. Tiny Fluke). A fun afternoon!
    City: Foresthill

Tips: Couldn't get 'em to go on topwater, but the Scroungers were working. We found the most fish when the boat was in around 20 feet of water. Watch for the boils!

Report: Bass Busters of Yuba City fished a 2 day end of year tournament. It was a tough bite for sure but definitely plenty of fish. Conditions and patterns changed between sat and sun. It is safe to say the tournament was won in the North Fork. Our new season kicks off in November. please email if interested in joining.
    City: Plumas Lake

Tips: Most fish were caught on isolated rock piles or open sandy banks. Throw a jig, worm, or a crankbait in the wind and you will catch em!

Report: Went out Brown's yesterday and fished from 7:30 to noon for a nice half day trip with a little success. We caught a total of 8 including a nice little 14 inch rainbow which was a total surprise. I caught a couple on a drop shot basstrix flash minnow there are a TON of baitfish thus year we had a fish spitting up what look to be silverside minnows or something but I'm not exactly sure. The rest of the fish were caught on the trusted DD22. It was a fun day up in the south
fork and cannot wait for the next open seat to get out there again if you have any questions feel free to contact me as I would be more than happy to.help in any way I can. FISH ON!!

Report: What a weird day out on Folsom. I went out with a buddy at 7am didn't catch a fish til 11:30 tried plastics, jigs, wakebaits, swimbaits and the A-Rig with Nothing!! Then we figured it out and I caught a very nice spot it weighed 4.13 burning a dd22 shad I mean the onlyy way I could get bit at all was to get that instinctive reaction bite reeling that thing fast. Ended up with 13 fish total off the water by 3 it was a lot of fun hope this helps you guys during this tough bite right now... Tight Lines!!
    City: Orangevale

Tips: Fish 10 to 25 feet on any structure you can find which is pretty muchy only rock buecause of the water levels then you need to put the motor on high an cover some serious water till you find them once you catch them stay and work that area harder...FISH ON!!

Report: disappointing...no one else has posted a report and i've seen dozens of bass boats on folsom fishing and catching and missing. makes me wonder about my brethren ... are you that insecure about your lake? if you are that good, it doesn't matter whether you share your "secrets" or not, you'll catch fish. disappointing is all i can say!
    City: sacramento

Tips: work the points (like all these locals know) but then also use your electronics to find possible holding fish. sometimes they won't be bass. folsom is full of carp and has some schools of trout roaming this lake. if you are that good, share your knowledge. but if you are insecure and need to keep your secrets, you're not a true sportsman.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well, did a 6a.m. to 6p.m. trip, with little results to show for my efforts. Fished the north fork. My first first fish came at 11:30 a.m.!Ouch! I was working hard at it too! It was a two and a half pound spot fly lineing a Senko in some trees. That fish ended up being the biggest of the day.Caught another spot on a spinnerbait, only about two pounds. My big surprize was the afternoon crankbait bite. Picked up another 6 spots under 2 pounds ea. Threw top water between 5-6, and picked up another spot. All in all an o.k. day, but I really thought it would be better. Size was a little disapointing. Might head back out on Thrusday.
    City: Folsom

Tips: If u r cranking, crank fast! I caught my first one on accident. When I thought I was done with the cast,I doubled my retrieve and it slammed the bait right next to the boat. So I went with the fast retrieve, and boom! I got some results....see you on the water!
