Report: Well hit the "Dead Sea" again for 5 hours... same old story....na da! I refuse to drag a Robo worm behind the boat with the trolling motor on slow! I KNOW A LOT OF PEOPLE DO THIS, BUT I REFUSE!
    City: folsom

Tips: Metered a lot of fish between 40-55 foot. I did what I could, but no results. Went to the delta about a week ago, and caught a 5lbr. on my 3rd cast..... I'm starting to wonder why I waste my time here. Being only 5 miles away makes it my backyard.... but.....oh well keep trying!

Report: Went out for a few hours late afternoon. Great cloud cover; however, I think the water is still a little too cold. Ended up with one Spot off some rock piles. Gotta get one of those A Rigs Lol!!
    City: West Sacaramento

Tips: If I wasn't pressed for time; I would have fished a lot slower on points and rock piles. I think the cold water from the Sierra's is affecting the bite??

Report: To Rangerpilot, a bigger concern is what they are keeping, I saw 2 caught by this same group of poachers excuse me, I mean people that clearly were under size.
I said to the guy "hey looks a little short to be keeping it" but they pretend that they don't understand you while they speak to there buddies in native tongue. There is absolutely no ethics or honor among these people. Sad days..

Once we found some fish, they were nice and fat. Wound up with 6 for about 16 lbs with largest a spot over 4#. Caught all three species for a fun day.
    City: Rsvl

Tips: Worked the North Fork with Tubes, Drop shot and Jigs

    Water Temp: don't remember

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Dropshot and darthead senkos boated only 3 spots at 20-25 ft off points. Couldn't figure out any other pattern. Agonizing to have to fish slow with very little movement but that was the only way we got bit.
For the fisherman coming from San Mateo, Folsom is a tough lake, whether it's bass or trout. Trout fisherman do ok if/when there's a plant. Other than that, hit and miss....and miss is usually the report. As for bass, this is a love/hate lake for bass fishing. One thing I've heard many times from those who come as far as you or farther.... "I could have saved time, gas, and frustration by just going to (you fill it in). If you're lookin' to drive to a lake to catch trout, you'd be better off at Camanche.
    City: folsom

Tips: S-L-O-W ... let your boat movement and drift move your bait...nothing else intentionally. 15-25ft.

    Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Been waiting for some new reports for a while and finally decided I can't complain if I don't contribute. :-) Fished from noon till 4:30 on Sunday and caught 3 nice fat spots (1.5, 2 and 3.5 lbs) -- nothing to brag about, but a decent day for me given that I've only been on the lake a handful of times. Two on drop shots, one on dart head; Baby Bass Roboworms and Purple Weenie Crosstail Shad; rocky points in the main lake and south fork; 20-30 feet. Others at the dock reported similar results except one guy who said he got 6 or 7 in less than 2 hours way back in the south arm.
    City: Foresthill

Tips: Beware the sand bar at the end of the peninsula :-)

Report: The water is way down off the shoreline a good 10-15 feet as in preperation for the winter snow. I fished in the north fork and I hooked into two small large mouth's using senko's. I tried all types of lures with no other luck.

    Water Temp: no thermometer

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Well, been waiting for someone to post a new report cuz I've seen boats out but no one wants to share so either it sucks or they're keeping their secret a secret.
I haven't brought the boat to Folsom because of the summer recreation crowd, but I take my dog to the shore and fish while he swims. I've picked up a few random 12" to solid 1-lbers with a junebug senko and occasional topwater Lucky Craft Sammy behind a front-runner. Last week I got 4 at the trees inside and outside Dike 8 cove. I also picked up a couple on the senko. Can only spend an hour before the bank is lined with the carp fisherman but it's always a kick to land a bass on the shore and have them freak when I throw them back. I just smile as they shake their heads but to each their own.
    City: folsom

Tips: No tips because I've not brought the boat out and I'm hoping my shoreline post will spark some others to start posting again.
But if on the shore, I'm wading in the water to my thighs and throwing to the trees. I'd probably get more hits if I slow down but I just can't fish slow...senko that is. But on the sammy/front-runner setup, I get hit on both the front-runner as well as the sammy (ghost shad).

Report: Fished north fork early. Caught a 5.1# large mouth on first drop of a Texas rigged 7" natural shad on a Gamakatsu Skip Gap 5/0 hook. Unfortunately I had no more 7" with me. Tried some 6" without the same luck, and the Skip Gap is rough on Senkos. Later, caught a 2# large mouth sith a wacky rigged 5" baby bass, also in trees. Nothing off of rocks.

Report: Wow, the boat traffic! Early is best for any chance to put one on the hook. Worked dropshot and senkos on the peninsula submerged willows and Beal's point cove/rock wall. Zip. Also tried spinnerbait and small crankbait....zip. Moved up north fork past Anderson Island and got one on the dropshot but lost it just below the boat. Moved back down to Brown's ravine afer changing our mind to go up to New York Cove due to the heavy traffic (12noon); zip in Brown's and called it a day...what a challenge dropping off to trailer. No manners.
    City: folsom

Tips: Staying away from Folsom for the summer..if you do go, in early, out early. No actual fishing tips as we haven't figured them out. 3 weeks ago we hit them on senkos and KVD 2.5s. Oh well, good luck to all those who brave the Folsom crowd!
    Delta here we come.
