Report: QUESTION, for Matt or anyone else? I have been fishing Lexington for a number of years. I have caught Trout, Largemouth, Bluegil, and Crappie. However, have not seen nor heard of anyone catching Smallmouth Bass in Lexington. Are you sure the fish that you caught were SMB and if so, where are they in the res. Thanks Jeff.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: hey guy's as of yesterday the gates are closed hand launch only... I disagree... I will find out why... make's no sense.. I've been doing great.. not the number's but the size.. this last saturday alot of rower's with ZERO RESPECT THIS IS WHAT NEED'S TO BE DONE..... are you listining. Call the park's and rec , dept.. Vasona and ask why is the launch ramp closed... I know I will... Hey, If ya don't know where to launch then don't go... Hey Matt...don't get mad, and or angry the problem is that the ranger's have ABSOLUTLY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE WATER DRAW.... I am not a ranger, allthough I think that with a couple of phone call's we can keep Lexington open for at least two more week's.. Take care fish safe,, catch and release..
    City: morgan hill

Tips: my tip ,, find out about all the resevoir's... water district , drawing everything down.. right now is the best time to fish, Hell if you fish as much as I do then we can talk...I work more than I fish.. Take Care and by the way It is the start of the Holiday Season... Zack

    Water Temp: dunno, i *freeb

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: right now, lexington is gettin ridiculous. if you thought the clarity of the water was anywhere near bad before, dont show up to fish here. that is hard for me to say, because this is MY lake. been coming here since 6, and i know ALL the spots. but, right now, with all the pipe work gettin done, with the constant fire dept. copter takin off right over my favorite spot, and with the RAPID falling water levels, fishing this lake is gettin too damn hard. i come here at least twice a week, and i churn up the waters with almost all the tackle i have, and every day its a different spot and different tackle. as a fisherman im used to change, but as i say, its freakin ridiculous.
    City: santa cruz mnts

Tips: strike-king rocketchad ( yellow) seems to be the most productive for SMB (small mouth bass) catching everything from 8'' dinks to 15'' 2lbers. also, chartruese (spelling) spinnerbaits, and although i have had no luck with them, i hear buzzbaits (red) have been turning out those reluctant ones hangin out in cover. matt out.

    Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got on water around 12:00 .fished for about 20 minutes with a dropped shot minnow and caught a 5 pounder
fised for quite a few hours later and caught a 3 pounder
using a fubber minnow not on the drop shot.Got off water around 6:30. Caught some other small ones nothing big. Pretty slow day. Beat the heat though.
    City: San Jose

Tips: You have to be pretty patient out there but there are some big fish. Thought I better fish Lexington some, before they drain it to fix the pipe or whatever they're doing. Darn shame the lake is sweet right now. Poor fish don't even know what they're in for. Sheduled to be drained in 2007.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Float tubed beneath the helicopter pad from 10:30 - 4:00. Only caught one nice one. A four pounder that must have been cruising the shoreline and ran into my hook. The rest were all about 1-2 lbs. Lots of croppie and blue gill.

Tips: I caught the 4lber on a drop shot rig using a 4" watermelon senko. Also hooked a bigger fish on the same set-up, but he broke me off on a submerged tree. Almost grabbed him by hand though.
