Report: Got on the water before sunrise and fished until about noon. Caught quite a few fish. Mixed bag of spots ands largemouths. Spent the entire day in the south end of the lake - McClure Point, Cottonwood, Temperance. Best luck came dartheading worms. Light pressure bite for the most part. Caught them on Berserk Baits custom hand pours and Roboworms. Saw quite a few big fish in the shallows but they spook quite easily.

Report: went out to scout around. water level has risen about 1ft from last storm. found temps around 60 on northern rocky shorelines. lots of fish showing at 45ft and above. seemed the active fish were in 14-28ft. had good success with dark colored baits. 4-6 inch zipper worms in grape, black, and junebug. 1 fish on a small cordell rattle spot, 2 on chugbug very late in the afternoon, and 6 on the worms. all fish were fairly small, had one at 3.3lbs. oddly enough out of my 9 fish, only one of them was a spot. been a while since i've seen that! lots of running water around the lake, and the shorelines are a little cloudy, but overall water pretty clear.
    City: modesto

Tips: watch your temps-look for the rocky shorelines for the warmth.dark colored baits with large profile.

Report: What a difference a day makes! Yesterday was full sun and very little wind. Today, whitecaps in the river, overcast and cold. My bite dried up. Fished a FBC tourny and while most people culled small limits on jigs, i only caught a few that way. Most of mine came on a texas rigged light purple worm and a dropshot in various collous. Winner caught a 15 pounder. That fish alone was enough to win the tourny. Said he caught it on a jig.

ON THE WAY OUT I STOPPED AT THE ISLAND TOP ON THE LEFT RIGHT OUTSIDE THE FIVES AND HAD ONE DECENT BITE ON A SWIMBAIT, THE FISH GOT OFF BUT IS A SOLID ONE, BUT WITH SPOTS YOU NEVER KNOW THEY ALL FEEL BIG!! HEADED TO THE DAM NEXT AND TOSSED THE SWIMBAIT SOME MORE WITH NO TAKERS. DECIDED TO HEAD TO THE RIVER AND THROW JIGS, CAUGHT SEVERAL SLOT FISH AND ONE NICE TWO POUND SPOT. Report: GOT OUT BY MYSELF TODAY QUITE A FEW PEOPLE OUT PRE-FISHING!! WENT BACK INTO COTTONWOOD AND THERE WERE QUITE A FEW GUYS, ITS ALL GOOD! HIT SOME OF THE POINTS ON THE NORTH BANK GOING IN WITH A WHITE JIG AND CAUGHT FOUR NICE FISH AND THREE RATS, LARGEST FISH WAS A SPOT THAT WENT 2.4 POUNDS, THE OTHER THREE WERE 1.5 - 1.7 POUND SLOT CLONES. FINALLY GOT BACK OUT ON THE ISLAND TOP AND ON THE FIRST CAST WITH THE TRIPLE TROUT HAD A 3.33, THEN NOTHING!! DECIDED TO MAKE A RUN AND GO ALL THE WAY IN TO PINEY. THERE WERE A FEW BOATS IN THE BACK, SO I STARTED LOOKING FOR BAIT, I FOUND A NICE BALL OF SHAD IN 50 FEET OF WATER RIGHT ON A TREE, PULLED OUT THE DROPSHOT AND CAUGH THREE GOOD SPOTS ALL 1.8 - 1.9 POUNDS, SAW SOME GUY IN THE BACK STICK A GOOD ONE ON A ( I THINK ) HUDDLESTON, COULD NOT TELL HOW BIG THOUGH HE WAS TRYING TO BE SNEAKY AND HIDE IT!! FUNNY! GRAPHED MY WAY OUT OF THERE AND MARKED SOME BAIT BUT NOT AS MUCH AS IN COTTONWOOD, THOUGH THE FISH IN PINEY WERE A LITTLE BETTER QUALITY. NEXT I HIT THE CANYON AND CAUGHT NOTHING BUT RATS, SAME DEAL ON THE MAIN LAKE, LOTS OF SLOT FISH! FINISHED UP ON THE POINTS ACROSS FROM BARRETS ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE LAKE AND STUCK ONE MORE GOOD FISH ABOUT TWO AND A HALF. FINISHED UP THE AFTERNOON WITH A LITTLE OVER ELEVEN POUNDS. I AM GOING TO GO TO THE WEIGH IN THIS WEEKEND TO SEE HOW THE TOURNEY GUYS DO! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF YOU!!
    City: MERCED

Tips: THE BACKS OF THE CREEKS LOOK PRETY GOOD, YOU JUST HAVE TO STICK WITH THE SHAD IMITATIONS, AND FISH SLOW. BEST BAIT TODAY WAS THE 4" PRO GOLD PRO WORM, ALTHOUGH I DO NOT THINK THAT MATTERS MUCH.

Report: Fished Island tops and submerged points in Cottonwood right before the five zone on the right. Had three larger fish one on a white Norman DD22 crank, and two on six inch triple trout all three were solid three pound fish on the cul-em-right. Continued with a dropshot and small white storm swimbait caught six more 1.8 to 2.2 pound fish. Moved on to the back of Cottonwood and looked for shad, but they seem to have disappeared, lots of small fish shallow, mostly largemouth right in the slot. Moved up the lake to the bathroom at horseshoe bend and found some bait and nice fish dropshotting in 35 - 50 feet, pretty much the same on the right side points of horseshoe where the bathroom used to be, nice fish 1.5 - 1.7 pounds, hammered them! Great Day ended up with sore thumbs!!
    City: MERCED

Tips: Better fish were in Cottonwood before the fives, it is a tough bite but you can get them on the swimbait if you work it slow.

Report: Hey, thanks for the input, but I'm pretty sure this page is for reports. As far as the jigs rolling on their side, I haven't had this problem at all...or with any football head for that matter. I don't get any money from the sales of these jigs, I am just simply trying to spread the word about a great product. These are quality hand tied jigs that you can custom order to your liking.
