Report: Another awesome day at the lake despite the rain and wind. Landed 16 spots up to 3 lbs and lost another half dozen or so. Only fished for about 3 hours or so. Caught several on Booyah spinner baits and the rest came on berkely power worms and senkos. Fish were everywhere. Aggresive bites during time I was out and I did not even hit the water until 10 am.

Report: Fished again with the same results from the past weekend lots of fish using a baby green brush hog, casting into the rocks. The only differant is that, i took my freind Dan. He did not do very well. He did not seem to have interest in fishing the only thing he wanted to do was EAT everything in site. "O" my god he can eat. Not sure why but he missed a good bite or did he..

Report: clear, flat, tons of fish but no activity!!!

well i have been fishing oroville for a few years with my family, we have a nice fishing boat but it might come as a shock to some that, that alone will not make you a good fishermen. we have tons of time and patience however we lack the ability to land the amount of fish you people claim to catch...WE COULD USE SOME TIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE
tell me any ideas of where to try or WHAT TO TRY!!!! we mostly fish muddier bottomed coves during early after noon to evening. so far we usually only get bites on night crawlers.
fish finder shows tons of fish around 4-6 feet of water but none want to bite...are we cursed??? can anyone change our bad luck???

NOW on to an exciting short story. last week I was on oroville and we were getting nothing for 7 hours but kept trying. im sitting back relaxing and all of a sudden my pole jerked out of the pole holder and into the water. i freak and jump across the boat to see if i could get it and by the time i got there it was more than 2 feet in the water...needless to say i lost a pretty expensive pole and most likely the biggest fish of my life...if you find a fish with a pole attached its mine....would appreciate getting it back =]

well any help would be greatly appreciated im going to go by some lures some of you said work and will get bak to you...
    thanks all
someday I hope to be landing that many fish in a day. at this rate were lucky to catch one in an entire day so I know were doing something seriously wrong. email me if you can!!!

Tips: HELP MEEEEE catch fish!!! got nice boat, plenty of poles and bait nothings working!. last time i was out i tried nearly every lure in my tackle box (years accumulated). recently bought fish finder, its great cuz now we can see all the fish that don

Report: I keep forgetting to let everyone know that, there has been alot of cars broken into that have been parked on the bidwell boat ramp as well as Loafer Creek parking lot. Several police reports have been filed. I would suggest to, keep all your glove box open as well as any compartmets in your cars. this may prevent the people doing this to walk away without breaking any windows knowing there is nothing to steal.
    City: Woodland

Tips: Keep your compartments open so that the people doing this can see that, there is nothing to steal.

Report: I took two fellows today for a learning trip - one had never caught a bass before. The morning was quite chilly as we headed to the south fork. The sun was up when we got there and when I realized how clear the water was (15 foot visability) I thought a tough day was ahead. Wrong! The morning bite was absolutely dead with only three or four in the boat. About noon a breeze came up and Bingo - the bass came up too! We caught spot after spot and a bonus smallmouth! Remember the guy who had never caught a bass before? His FIRST bass ever - a 2 lb 9 oz spot! I had to coach him to get her out of a tree and he did! His next one was 2 lbs 2 oz - a natural fisherman! I will put up a photo tomorrow. Was he ever excitied!!!! He caught 6 more and only lost 2. He really has some natural ability - nice to see. We caught over 30 with 5 over the slot. I tried some rippin' but the water was just too clear and bright. The 4" morning dawn Robo worm was THE bait in the afternoon. Aaron' Magic R/B flake was good in the morning. Our 5 fish limit was in the 12 lb range.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: The male spots were invading the coves in the afternoon and were chompin'! A few females were there too. I would have loved fishing 'til dark. I did drop-shot the Basstrix flashtrix minnow with good results - 20 to 35 feet deep. Many of our bass were spitting up pond smelt - lots of them all over my carpet, ugh!!! Some of the water in coves had a little color - I think that helped the bite. The main body areas were very clear all day.

Report: Fished the middle fork in the AM, only put 2 in the boat. One on a c-rigged Powerworm and the other on a Yum dinger. Water visibility was 15+ feet in some locations before the wind came up. It was a great day on the lake. Can't wait for the bite to pick up.

    Water Temp: 54-58+ in AM,

Report: Almost no fish or bait on screen. Water 4 degrees warmer in upper S. Fork, up to 60+ in PM. Tough bite. 10 in slot (none under) & only 1 over. Hit darthead Aaron's Magic fished slowly. Think some of fish were spawning.

Tips: Start looking for spawners before the wind comes up.

Report: Only had about an hour and a half of fishing time today so I packed up the float tube and went to Parrish cove. I hooked four and landed three. All came in about 10 feet of water on carolina rigged watermelon senkos. The three spots weighed between 1.2 lbs. and 2.8 lbs. Saw another bloke on the shore catch 2 nice spots on night crawlers.

Report: headed out around 10am sunday, fished the middle fork and parts of the main lake till around 5. NO bites, not even one. Threw everything at em. Drop shot, darter heads, jigs, rip baits, etc. Tried fishing in shallower water and deep water, anywhere from 5-35 feet. Tried fishing slow, no bites, and fast, no reaction bites. Went out on a buddys boat that wasnt really equipped. No fish finder (pretty tough without one this time of year). So not really sure what the temp was, but it was still very cold. THe visibility was good, clear for about 12 feet. Saw one guy catch one drop shotting in about 25 feet of water. Didnt talk to anyone else, but there were a good amount of people fishing, but no one seemed to stay in any one place longer than twenty minutes (so i am guessing they were having similar problems finding a pattern). All in all, despite the coporation of the fish, beautiful day, even got a tan.
    City: san francisco

Tips: Dont go fishing without a depth finder. Need to find that warmer water this time of the year. And find where the fish are holding in the thermocline.

Tips: All bites were in the back end of coves

My partner ripped a few fish early but then it just became tough!! Fished then came on Soft plastics fishing SLOW!!!! A little frustrated over the production of number of fish lately. Report: The Sacramento Bass Wranglers launched 9 boats on a windy/rainy Saturday morning. When it was all said an done 3 limits were brought to the scales. Top honors went to Art B. and Elias N. for their bag of fish weighing 11.60 w/ a big fish of 3.56. Second went to Harold N. and Ray M. with 5 fish going 11.26. Third went to Mike Y. and Mark D. with 5 fish weighing in at 10.30 pounds. Most reported a good rip and blade bite early and tapering off as the day wore on. The majority of fish came on a variety of plastics.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: WE don't get a DFG slot waiver so there weren't many limits brought in, though everyone weighed in at least 1 fish over the 15 inch slot limit.
