Water Temp: Unknown
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished dawn to dusk and caught fish all day long. Moved from one small "cove" to the next to drop anchor and avoid wind and tournament. (My "bass boat" is a 24" cabin cruiser) Caught at least one fish in each stop and 5 or 6 in some. Fished from bank down to 20-25 feet and caught fish at all depths.
Caught fish throwing to obvious structure: boulders, trees, submerged ridges, etc. Caught few on bottom. Caught 3 in back of cove with debris on top of water in a spot onyl 12' wide and about 4' to the shore.
Dropshotted 4" Yamamoto cut tail in green pumpkin w/ black flake, Robo in Aaron's magic, and 6" Robo in Oxblood. Also threw Senko, 5" watermelon w/black flake Texas, weedless, weightless. All on 6# P-Line w/ 3/16 weight for the small dropshots, 1/4 for the 6" Used #1 Gammy EWG hooks on 4' baits and 1/0 or 2/0 on the bigger baits.
City: ChicoTips: If you're finesse fishing, watch your line! Even in the wind, I SAW some hits when there was big belly in the line. Other times it was great to feel the "thunk" on a Senko!

Water Temp: didn't care
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tried some night fishing on friday the 2nd and we had a great time. We caught a lot of bass but nothing real big. It was kind of nice to fish the lake without all the pressure you usually have during the day around here. We had almost no wind at all the whole time we were out. We launched at lime saddle at about dark and made a short run to our favorite night time spot and hooked up right away on yo-zuri jerbaits. We then switched to fat raps and caught a fish about every 5 minutes. We closed the night off with a little live crawdad fishing. we had a few bites on them but we had no luck other than that.
City: ParadiseTips: I can't tell you exactly where we were but I can tell you to look for areas with small rock right on ledges leading to shallow water if you want to use crankbaits. We were using chart/blue fat raps and silver/black DT10's. The almost full moon is the reason for the fast action, so take advantage of it while it is here. Dress WARM!!!!!

Water Temp: 56-59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went fishing this morning at 5:30 and tried fishing Parish Cove, Vinton Gulch and Spring Valley. Did well in all of them. Fish were slammin the senko rigged texas without a wieght. Spotted a big bass in the shallows at Parish Cove she had to be at least 8 pounds. I tried to get her to bite but she wasn't sticking around to see what I had to offer. For once I caught more largemouths than spots! That's a nice change once in a while but it doesn't happen much. For me anyway.
City: paradiseTips: I'm not sure if the color matters too much on the senkos. I had fish bite every color I tried. ( I stayed away from bright colors ) I had only one srike on a jerkbait but by the way those bass were boiling on the shad I'm sure that you can catch some nice fish on them if you stick with it. Fish shallow!

Report: Late start with bearing trouble on the trailer. Caught nice fish on repala and senko. Fished in 1-6 foot of water. Saw lots of carp shallow with a few bass.
City: OrovilleTips: Be patient, find where the fish are staging and moving up, that's the zone to be in!

Water Temp: 57-60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I had a nice trip Saturday, taking a grandpa and 14 year old grandson - teaching them how to worm fish. This was not a "teach the lake" type of trip - we just wanted to learn to put fish in the boat. So we headed up the middle fork and just fished a few areas that I knew held a lot of bass. I had them try to rip in the morning and grandpa got his first doing that - almost 15". I decided we were going to split-shot most of the day and it continued to be an effective way to catch bass. After missing several, they started to get the hang of it and put many in the boat, all spots in the 13 to 15" range and a 14" smallie to boot. The grandson got a special thrill when he hooked a 15" salmon on a worm. That thing jumped 4 times and really was a 'wild thang"!! I caught about 6 myself, including a 2 lb 2 oz spot. We caught 20 total plus 1 salmon. They probably missed 20-25 more bites. They hooked a lot of bass but the bass "hooked" them too! They fell in love with bass fishing and as usual, I enjoyed seeing family members grow closer as they share a beautiful day on the water!!
City: Yuba CityTips: We used Camanche Jacks "early dawn" worms in the 6" size, and Berkley Power and Pulse worms in 4" sizes in several colors. Junebug was good. We looked for staging areas. Sand and clay cuts with small rock were the key. We got bite in every area we fished like that except one. Not bad! Lots of action all day. I felt good about that since the lake is being beat to death with tournaments.

Water Temp: 54-56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I have fished this lake non-stop for the last week and today was the best day by far! We hit the north fork this morning at 5:30 and had a few hits on yo-zuri jerkbaits in ghost-minnow but didn't hook up. We switched to Bold Bluegill Roboworms rigged texas and caught a few spots in the slot. After getting our fill on slot fish we went with larger zipper worms in hopes of catching something larger. It paid off right away with a 3 pound largemouth, But that was the only fish to bite the zipper for the next hour. We then switched to (what proved to be the best bait of the day) a Baby brush-hog in watermelon and red flake. We ended up getting into a lot of fish that went 15-17". Our grand total was 36 fish with all but 4 fish being spotted bass. Our best five fish went just shy of 11 pounds. I have a feeling it's only going to get better out there.
City: ParadiseTips: We were fishing shallow all day, only going as deep as 20 feet. The smaller rock seemed to be holding fish better than the larger rock, But flooded tules on points was the major producer. We fished so slow you could fall asleep between each cast. That's the way the fish wanted it,the slower the better.

Report: Fished the WON bass tourney from april 13-14 and turns out quite well. Gary Dobyns wins again! Anyway...they were in shallows hitting on darthead, texas rig worms, jerkbait and jigs. They're in early prespawn stage. At least I did quite well being on top 40.
City: SacramentoTips: Fish slow and try dead sticking the lures.

Water Temp: 54-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Well, I guess it's fun being the only guy reporting! One might think a tournament was about to happen. Anyway, a client and I had a wonderful day Wednesday, looking over the lake and catching 15 bass, mostly spots. We did manage several quality fish and our best 5 went a shade over 9 pounds. We spent most of our time in Canyon Creek and the Middle Fork, with a little time in the South. We threw worms and jigs most of the time, with a little drop-shotting. We found several colors worked, and the fish were quite aggressive around noon. We caught bass shallow and down to 20 feet. The wind was a problem in the afternoon, but we just continued to learn new spots and fish them the best we could.
City: Yuba CityTips: We found fish on flats that were near deep water, but not on deep water points. Normally boulders that get warm in the afternoon will attract fish, but that didn't seem to happen on Wednesday. Small rock seemed to be the key.

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I fished Oroville Thursday by myself for about 4 hours - fished and looked around. I found the fishing to be surprisingly tough, but I heard it was for lots of folks. Couldn't get bit on a jig, so I switched to a Camanche Jack 6" green craw worm - Texas rigged with brass 'n glass. I would shake the worm and then let it sit. My first bass was a 17" spot that weighed 2 lb 7 oz. Good start! My next was 2-1 - very fat! I moved further up the south fork and caught 2 more on points - both about 1 1/2 lbs. I missed about 4 or 5 others. I threw spinnerbaits a lot for fun, but no takers. All my fish were shallow - about 10 feet deep.
Tips: I found my fish in small cuts in coves. I did catch one on a main lake point. The bites were good but I had to deadstick a lot to get those good bites which were few and far between!

Report: went out yesterday caught some nice bass. watch or deris.
City: brownsvilleTips: I have noticed that less and less people are posting reports. I know or a act that there has been at least 5 tournaments there in the last month with no reports. I guess senkos and hula grubs are some kind o secret, and what color worms to throw that must be a secret also. So beside the occassional isherman or the Guide whos posting his report (ree advertisement) this site has gone down hill!!! I posted a report a ew weeks ago about the crankbait bite and one o my riends told me a guy in his club read my report and did really well throwing them, in act they beat them out he wasnt to happy. So share the ino let other isherman know whats going on. Im lucky i can go ishing any day i want but some guys only get to go once or twice a month and iguring out the pattern is part o the un. But when you do and it's 3 in the aternoon that suck's cause its going to get dark soon. So lets see some more action on this site

Water Temp: 55-56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Spent the day on Oroville with my bro-in-law just looking to get bit, as he ishes a bunch but doesn't do much catching. I had ished here about 3 weeks ago and done well, so I igured I'd just pick right up where I let o, right? WRONG! Although the techniques used were similar, the locations had changed considerably. The channel banks which had been so productive on the previous trip were barren now (lake has dropped about 10' since then), so I had to do a bit o searching to get back on the ish. On this trip, windblown (albeit a light breeze) blu banks were the key. I you were 15' rom the bank and had 60' o water under the boat, you were okay. Found the bait layered in about 40'-70' on the shale rock breaks, and the bass were right with 'em. Dropshotting Angler's Choice and Roboworm shad colored plastics was the key, with depths ranging rom 40'-75'. I'd guess we inished the day with 35-40 bass, and 4 over the slot. All-in-all, a lot o un, as my bro-in-law told me he caught more ish on this trip than on all his others this year combined (maybe no ish in Minnesota?). :-)RR
City: Elk GroveTips: Put that graph to good use. Look or the bait to be close to structure and layered in a horizontal band. I you see short streaks moving at diering angles within the bait pod, get ready or action. LUNCHTIME!!
