Report: Help! The wind rom Clear Lake ollowed me! 30 mph winds in the middle ork yesterday aternoon. Wow. Client and I managed 11 spots somehow - 2 over slot and 8 in - 2 dinks. We had to ish protected areas - mostly protected cuts. Caught 7 on brn/orange Rodstrainer jigs w/ #180 Yamamoto grubs, and 4 on #62 Magic worms. This took about 3 1/2 hours. Caught 6 big spots ater dark rom 2 to 2 3/4 lbs, all on black Big Dipper Magic worms - 6". Fished ater dark in middle ork loating potty cove! Wind eased up ater dark. Big ish were quite deep or night - 15 to 30 eet! Found most o them on large boulder ormations. Same thing in the aternoon.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: The Rodstrainer jig continues to be the bait o my choice during the day at Oroville or quality ish. Brown/Orange was the avorite yeaterday.

    Water Temp: 60 to 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: All I have to say is Oroville is on! Thursday and Friday o last week, we caught 60+ and 90+ ish with 20 to 30 over slot each day. We caught most on a Carolina rigged morning dawn 4" worm. The warmer the weather got, the better the ishing got. Although we caught ish everywhere we ished, wind blown points, ishing the trailing mud line on the down wind side o the point was the ticket. Banks with resh submerged growth held ish also. Primarily in the lower north ork and the middle ork. North ork was warmer and held a lot o ish. The trees held a lot ish. It was really pretty much wide open. I can't say enough. My thumb started to bleed by the end o the day, Friday due to the numbers o ish I lipped. When i came home and was asked how I did, I just gave them a bloody thumbs up. Go get 'em.
    City: Danville

Tips: Most o the good ish were in 10 to 25 eet o water with exceptions where there is muddied water, trees up close, and early and late in the day.

Report: Fished Friday w/my nephew, "Jig-Man". Very early smaller ish were really eating pointer minnow. Finally caught a keeper. Lots o large spots ollowing it, but they wouldnt eat it. Later, Darter head 6" worms killed them. Fished mostly south ork. In 12 hours we caught 57 ish(really) with 14 over the slot. Spinnerbaits worked later when the wind came up. Sluggos also worked early. Nephew caught 5 or so on a 3/8 oz jig that he is making himsel. This last Tues was way tougher. All day 22 ish w/only one over the slot. Mostly all small ish. Warm weather helps.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: split shotting was not the hot ticket. Dart heading got way more bites.

    City: Yuba City

Tips: Brown jigs on steep stu worked or me, but as usual that will change come money time.

    Water Temp: 58.8 to 62.3

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished the South Fork and Main body with my riend Steve. The water temp on the main body was about 3 degrees cooler than the ork. Found a lot o slot ish willing to take a T.D. Minnow early and small plastic later on during the day.The better ish (those over the slot) were ound in the back o coves and were willing to take brush hogs and jigs. You'll have to pay very close attention to your line and rod tip though, watching or the slightest movement or pressure. When you see your line twitch or detest the rod beginning to load up, set the hook.
    City: Granite Bay

Tips: Smaller, slow presentation, top water baits around steep rock banks, jigs worked slow in shalow lat areas and brush hogs drug down creek chanles should produce a great doy on Oroville this time o your.

Report: Launched at Lime Saddle, worked up the let side when leaving the marina and rom the irst cast, it was an awesome day. No matter what you through, as long as it was chartruese, you got plenty o action. I used a chartruese/white titanium spinner with willow lea blade. Also threw chartruese Speed Trap with plenty o ish coming right o the bank all the way to the boat. Must have caught 20-30 slots with 8-10 over 15" ranging in 3-4 lb weight. Smaller ish came early on while the at ladies started eeding around noon......SUPER DAY!
    City: Wheatland

Tips: Used 5/8 oz spinner bait, chartruese with gold willow lea and small Colorado together. Partner slammed the larger ones on 5" salt and pepper reeper with chartruese tail.

Report: My ather-in-law and I ished rom 9:00 am until 4:00 pm.We caught 16 ish 4 above the slot. The morning was tough nothing or the irst 3 hours. As the sun warmed the lake we started getting bites in the most protected coves on the sunny side o the lake. Wind was 15 miles per hour and we had to use heavy quarter ounce lead heads to get to the ish. Bites were just pressure on the line no real hard hits.
    City: CHICO

Tips: Fish ater the sun has had time to warm things up. Don't move your baits to ast.

    City: Fairield

Tips: Fish twin tail spider grubs in brown near rock piles. Fish seemed to key on large chunk rocks.

Our pattern was sloping red clay points and all ish were caught shallow. Fish came on 4" worms one on purple ghost, one on a MGM strwberry and the rest came on a Anglers Choice bluegill color. My Partner Jr. Sanches was the hot stick catching most o the ish I was the net man and he lost one o our overs when it jumped but I had the net under it and saved the day. We ended up in 10 th place.

    Water Temp: 47-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Water temps in high 40's early in morning. Tough bite early with only a ish here and there, all on worms. All ish in the slot at about 14". No luck with any reaction baits. In early aternoon we started working the shallow coves with small dead stick ups. Water temps warmed up to the 54-56 degree range. Pitched green weenies, 6", on T-rigs in between the stick ups and slowly, very slowly, dragged them through to catch about 9 keepers over the slot in about 40 mins. til we had to leave or weigh in. All these ish came in 4 to 7 eet o water. Biggest o these weighed 2.71#. Culled all the early morning ish to get a 12.71# limit.
    City: Redding

Tips: Work the worms very slowly and maintain bottom contact. All bites were just there with no tell tale tap, tap. In doubt, set the hook.

Report: Boy did I have a tough time today. I ished rom ten in the morn to 3 in the noon and caught one ish 13inch while my buddy caught two better sized ones. We caught the ish shakin' a dart head worm in the middle and south ork areas. All three ish were in about 15-20 eet o water. I tried a spinnerbait throughout dierent locations, NOT A BITE! I recommend just taking a dart head rod to the lake and maybe a jig rod. Good Luck
    City: sacramento

Tips: My only tip is to try a dierent lake. Oroville is not the best right now!
