    Water Temp: 69-70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had a blast! Found a bite on reaction baits on wind blown areas. Most productive were big rocks in areas where a mudline orms. Caught a dozen or so ish to 17 inches on white spinnerbaits. Also had a ew on a jig, a couple o them hit the jig as I was reeling up. Deepest ish caught was in 10-12 eet o water. Best 5 weighed 9.59.Ramp is in good shape. Another nice note is I was inormed tht my annual pass has been extended or another year at no cost. Woo hoo!
    City: Marysville

Tips: Target banks with wind and mudlines. Keep moving and come back to areas to give them another chance.

Most ish came rom 18 to 25 eet, but I think I could have gone deeper or bigger ish. I wanted to share my bad experience to hlp you all avoid what I did today.
    City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Good time to practice deep water techniques like dropshotting and spooning. Spotted Bass are aggressively eeding on Pond Smelt, but I just couldn't ind the ish over 15"

    Water Temp: 75-76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: It's inally happened, Oroville has given me a really good day and I must admit that I was a little apprehensive since the weather change this past week but that's all it took to put them back in a bitting mood. Started the morning o working the deep let side going into Canyon Creek, right at the 5MPH marker and just had to throw top water....nuttin' Next it was a brown/orange jig and throwing it right into 25-30' we started getting nice ish. Threw a Pointer 78 and the next 2 casts netted 2 really nice over 15" keepers. Worms, jigs, Senkos, ripping, it was all working and worked without a 6 hour no ish-wait or another bite- day. Finished the day in south ork and equal results until we pulled o just beore the evening bite started. Crazy wasn't it? Lots o ish, lots o keepers and too bad it wasn't a tournament day!
    City: Wheatland

Tips: Since the temp has been abnormally cool, this was a perect day or jigs and dartheads. Work mudlines and we had more success with a 1/4 oz darthead to get us to the 25-30' depth sooner. Want dinks, throw to the bank otherwise stay deep.

Report: Found a ew ish early on jerkbaits ( Pointer Minnows) then as the sun hit the water we started split-shottin Magic Worms and Keeper Reapers. We had decent success and got o the water early. The plastic worked better than the Jerkbaits, seen some guys throwing poppers but they weren't getting bit. Good Luck Je J.

Tips: Beat the sun to the water and beat the skiers to the ramp to leave

Report: Fished Lime saddle with watermelon red speckled baby brush hogs and landed only 3 ish, biggest being 2 lbs. Real tough bite probably due to the thursday tournament. $10 gets you in, 17 in. or better qualiies with $250+ or 1st place.

    Water Temp: 83

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Well, someone has to say the ishing turned a little tough yesterday. Conditions were terrible - lake dropping 1.3 eet p/day, air temp 101, no wind, and clear water. Thank goodness or water skiers, providing a little mud line. Beore sunrise, one would expect a ew ish eeding on the surace. Nothing - it looked like the dead sea. No topwater bite morning or evening. Client and I did boat 19 spots, 9 o them tournament keepers. At high noon, client did land a 2-3 spot. I was very happy he caught a nice one because this was his irst experience catching spotted bass. What a kick on a 782 G. Loomis rod!! We ound a creek channel with a little water color in the middle ork. Though we tried a variety o baits and colors, Magic worms in morning dawn and blue ghost produced all our ish. In spite o the rapidly alling water level, most ish were 10 to 20 eet. Saw some schools o bait on the meter at 30 eet, but we didn't ish them. Talked to one other boat and they didn't catch a single ish. Maybe I was just there the wrong day - like that never happened beore!!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Most o the willows are now out o the water, so inding the quality ish will become a little tougher. Points didn't seem to hold as many ish as walls did. I they keep dropping the lake like the past 4 days, look or steep stu and oshore structure.

    Water Temp: 63-66

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: started the day in the Lime saddle area with only a ew small ish, moved to Berry creek area and hit several nice ish over the slot, weighed apa 18-19 lbs. Five ish. We were using, Don Ivino Green Weenie with Chartreuse Tip worms, and were using smelly jelly in Craw scent and we were getting just drilled. Must have caugth 30-40 ish, I also picked up a couple nice ish throwing a jerk bait.
    City: Modesto

Tips: I noticed that the ish wanted the bait moving,i you just dead sticked the bait they wouldn't touch it, as soon as you woved the bait they would bite.

    Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished today with client in the main body and middle ork - 5:30 am to 1:30 pm. Weather conditions were perect, cloudy with no wind, but we ound the bite to be a bit slow. It was one o those days we couln't put them in the boat - lost many good ish, oh well! We only landed 10, but the quality was great - 7 over the slot or nearly 14 lbs. We were targeting bigger ish with Rodstrainer jigs and was happy they were still on a jig bite (points). 6 out o 7 big spots were on jigs, one early morning ish was on a spinnerbait. Only one ish below 14", and it was on a jig. Could ind no more ish in back o coves - points and walls worked or us. I love ishing with jigs - not as many bites - but most are quality. Works or me!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: Post-spawn are moving deeper- client caught his biggest jig ish in nearly 30 eet o water. Our average depth, other than the irst hour, was 20 eet. The larger ish move pretty deep soon ater the spawn.

    Water Temp: 61-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished middle ork in 12-18 oot range. Flat Sand/gravel areas with small boulders and a sharp break to the deep side seemed to be hot spots or ish coming o the spawn. 6" Paddle tail worm worked much better than 4" straight tail I started with. Purple w/chart. tail was best or me. 34 ish day, most in or over slot. Very light bite, every ish was hooked close to outer edge o lip.
    City: Reno

Tips: I wormin', ish with a little slack in your line. Watch or the strike and let him run a little beore settin' the hook.

    Water Temp: didn't check

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Not a bad day. Two o us landed 29 ish. 11 ish over the slot. We should o been ishing a tournement. Could o had 17 plus lbs. Most o the good ish came on a new worm we started pouring last month called RED SHAD. It's a dark smoke top with red lake and a gray pearl bottom. We dart headed 6 inch. We learned a good trick. When we would eel a "tap", we would shake the worm. This made the bass attack the worm. When we waited or the "pull or dead wait" we would some times have the worm bit in hal. We also landed a number o good ish on a 4 1/2" Gummy Worm. This is a modiied #83 choclate/blue. We make the worm lighter in color and add a dark spot on the worm like a night crawler. This worm worms wonders when the lake level is rising. Most all ish came in 12 to 20 eet. We ished all the submerged trees we could ind. We used a weedless dart head when we ished the trees. We would stick the worm right down the middle o the trees and shake it. I any o you would like a copy o our catalog and special lyers, e-mail us at the ollowing:MAGALIA PLASTIC BAITSAtt: Mike Johnsone-mail address: mpb@shocking.comGood Luck FishingP.S. We are currently developing new drop shot type baits like the 3" slug-o type. We have also developed a 5" lipping ribbed bait with a mogambo type tail which allows the bait to all slow. We also have a shrimp tailed 5" worm that works good on the bridge pilings. B.A.S.S Masters Proessional Joe Bitker has demoed the bait with great results. It should be on the market next month. Another new worm is the 6" cigar type worm used at Clear Lake.
    City: Magalia

Tips: Due to the light bite (at times), try dart heading with a 1/8 oz 2/0. When you get a "tap", shake your pole about 5-6 inches real ast or about 2-3 seconds then check or pressure. I it eels like something might be on, SET THE HOOK !!!
