Report: Launched out o Stringtown at sun-up and headed toward the Enterprise bridge. We caught a ew right away on spinnerbaits near some isolated rockpiles. I switched to a small Zara spook and really started nailing them. Not a lot o size but a lot o un. My buddy and I landed about 15 ish on topwater. About 3 were over the slot. We switched to crankbaits as the sun came out and did pretty well with those as well. We caught about 35 ish today on a variety o baits. I even caught my irst Senko ish. THANKS Phil T.
City: Yuba CityTips: Fish were aggressive all morning. Caught a lot o ish and had a blast.

Report: Spent most o the day in the south ork, couple here couple there, max inally igured the pattern out, the bass were in the tree's!!!!! darter heads with green weenies was the ticket,I pretty much got my butt spanked yesterday, as i reused to go to a smaller weight and worm till he was about 8 or 9 ish up on me, but live and learn. We had a douple hook up o a couple 2#s that was un. The wind was a little strong at times and was blowing us into the trees, but the worst thing was that other isherman, just had no courtesy HEY GUYS when you see two or three boats in a cove what are ya thinking, I'll just slipped in between these two guys, it allmost looked like a parade o people just ollowing each other around.one ater the other kept comming till we had like 7 boats in there So when you see a boat with its bow pointed down the bank, that's the direction its going, so going up 50 yard in ront and start ishing you have just totally cut them o, but i guess in the world o 30,000 dollar boats and a 25,000 dollar rig to get it there i guess your entitled to act that way, I you like combat ishing wait till the salmon are running and head down to the combat line at the spillway!!!!!
City: BROWNSVILETips: Fish the tree's slow, dropping green weenies on darter heads, rip any cover you see good luck

Report: A little shout-out a couple o my bass brothers should pay attention to. Unortuantely, they won't- they don't engage in dock talk. Over 20 spots to 2.5lbs various banks in the north. My bass brother Markey Ray and my other brother Markey Ray have always pondered why does the bass eat the jig and not the spinner. Don't give me that "well they react to the lash and see the jig. When you ish spinnerbaits at night what do they hit? Message to Mark & Mark- let it go man, please just let it go... Besides here's a solution that will make you culling ools at your next event on this lake. The secret is in-line spinners. Just think, the bass eats the jig and the spinner- together! I hope they try them. It will bring closure. My kids cast spinners and when they are not hooking each other's Osh Kosh, they just wear em out. As a parent, you haven't lived util you've been whacked in the back o the head with 1/4 oz Mepps Bumble Bee colored Agila. In another Millenium archeologists will examine the remains my brother Markey Ray and my other brother Markey Ray and the irst clue will be all the Copenhagen cannisters strewn about. That will coincide with the abnormal wear on the molars. The smaller size o thier craniums will be readily apparent and initially the will conclude Oh, Nascar ans. The tell-tale evidence however will be the gouges in the back o the skull rom all those Rooster Tail hooks that penetrated all the way to the bone. Scientiic evidence will reveal the truth- they were trying to be bass ishermen.

Report: Virtual Dock Talk. 15 spots to 2.87lbs. Best 7 14.47lbs. 3rd place, Division 1, (a run-what-you-brung under 100hp class)New Bass tourney. The sight o twenty Trackers on plane dicing or position at 20mph is better than a sleeping tablet. My partner says tournament sucess is all mental. I was mental when we were deeated by a team in a Zodiac. They towed it on a Home Depot utility trailer kit behind a mint condition baby blue Ford 1600 Anglia. Good anglers, but too weird. I would have been mental about the weather except we nail 5 ish in 5 minutes on spinnerbaits during the heaviest downpour in the early morning. We added a couple more in the next hal hour and then ish came about one per hour in the south ork ater that. A couple on worms.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: Reaction bite despite an intense cold ront? Who'd a thunk? Cold ronts in spawning season slows them down, but i you're willing to wear your arm out casting, ish can be caught on reaction. Worm seem to catch more anytime here.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Exactly a week rom my last report and it was dierent. I stayed in the south ork or more action and the ish seem to have moved back due to the cooling weather and water temp but was able to maintain a airly good blade bite ishing it slower and deeper than last week with plenty o at slot ish and about 3 over the slot. Wind picked up pretty good and in the aternoon I looked or calm and deeper water and got the Senkos ready or action and boy did I ind it. Those Senkos are truly amazing, sometimes you see and eel something but most o the time it's a pure deadstick or 2 minutes, pick it up and there's a nice ish on your line. Got many slot ish, one smally and about 6 spots over the slot........what a blast! Batteries and my body took a beating today but was worth it.
City: WheatlandTips: Using a 3/8 chartruese, tandem willow lea spinner with a grub trailer to get it a little deeper and worked it slow. Fish came o rocks and points. Using Senkos in watermellon throwing it about 10 t rom the bank into 12-15 t o water and doing nothing or 1-2 minutes and there were plenty o ish.

Water Temp: 55-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I couldn't give a more dierent report than I gave last Friday i I tried! Talk about opposite conditions and type o bite - it was amazing! To give you an idea, when I let the dam at 5:30 pm, the air temp was 28 degrees cooler than Friday aternoon. We had terrible wind most o the day, and we just couldn't seem to get away rom it. And there was a little snow in the hills above Oroville last night. Did that eect the spotted bass - only the big ones. They seemed to be o the bite, but all the smaller ones wern't!!! I was guiding a ather and his 16 year old son, who had never really ished a deep lake beore, and they did quite well ater a while - in act, dad caught the two biggest - a 2-2 and a 2-4 spot. In spite o the wind, we did land over 50 bass, including an over-the-slot largemouth and 2 in-slot smallmouth. I was surprised that we wound up with 6 over the slot, but deinately not the quality o the last trip! We ish the middle ork our whole trip with the same Rodstrainer jigs and later I had the boy shakin' a 6" morning dawn Magic worm. He caught several doing that, including a 2 pounder. We ound the bigger ish on points and smaller ones in coves and cuts, thought we did see a 6+ largemouth looking or a nest site on the back o a creek. The only thing in common with last Friday was that the ish really turned on about 2 pm - luckly we had some sun. Boat control was stressul today, but it was worth it - happy camper clients!
City: Yuba CityTips: The early jig bite was just pressure, but as the day warmed up, some o the bites were pretty exciting. I broke o a big ish on 12 lb test - should have retied more oten. You never know how big the next bite will be!!

Report: Took my son to Oroville today since all the recent reports had good things to say. Well they were right!! We caught 27 spots in the South Fork, and 1 in the Middle Fork. Caught the irst 6 on crankbaits, then went all the way up the South Fork till the debris stopped us. Started throwing 4in. worms on dart heads and had a ield day!! 22 ish in about 2 1/2 hours. We caught em on several dierent colors, but a shad color worked best since these ish were gorginging on minnows. Only 3 were over the slot, but dang did my 12 yr old have a ball!!

Water Temp: 54-59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Guided a regular client and his partner today and had a reasonably good day or big spots in the North Fork. The water is cooler than the South Fork, and we didn't ind the bite wide open, but very good. We wanted to get quality ish moving up as the water warmed - we didn't start until 7:30 am. We wound up with 13 tournament keepers and 2 undersize, with 7 over the slot. The biggest were 2-11, 2-14, and 3-9. Our 5 biggest were a little over 12 1/2 lbs. We caught 2 o the big spots in the irst 2 hours on some east walls, but it wasn't until about 10:30 that the bite picked up. It took my clients awhile to master the pressure bite, so they missed several ish. The spots bit better as the water warmed up. We used brown/orange Rodstrainer jigs most o the time. We threw other baits, but the jig bite was just too much un! We ound the bigger bass up to 20 eet deep in the morning, but shallower than 10 eet in the aternoon. There were really no hot spots, and we ish the whole North Fork up to the ork (sounds weird!) and some in Dark Canyon and Spring Valley.
City: Yuba CityTips: One o the keys to larger spotted bass is to ind a lat near the shore, with a ledge at the end o the lat. A lat o a creek channel is just as good. These ish will move on and o the lat depending on available ood, and weather (light) conditions. A good depth or these lats is 10 to 20 eet, during the spring.

Water Temp: 62-66
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at the spillway and headed south and the junk in the water was bank to bank or about 1/2 mile to the second bridge. Once you got past the bridge, into the willows, the junk was gone and the ish were there. It was nothing short o AWESOME today and decided to throw a blade around the trees and any type o rock and practically every cast resulted in a ish in the 2-3 pound range. When I threw to the bank, I hit the rock and rolled it in the water and many were right there and the deepest water in that area had to be about 3 eet. Pulling back rom the bank and throwing around the shallow willows with a medium retrieve resulted in quality strikes as they were suspended about 3 t rom the surace. Finally let that area and went as ar south as water would let me and had a ield day with line stretchers on small darthead and grub. Talked to a couple guys down the south branch and they stated they had a terriic morning ripping o which I tried very briely without success....then quickly went back to blades or some more un. Just one o those days you wait all winter or and be sure to wear shorts as it got hot real early. With the exception o 2 smallies, all were spots. Oroville is wide open right now!!!!!!!!
City: WheatlandTips: Was throwing a chartruese/white, 3/8oz dual willow lea titanium blade (Cabela's imitator o the Terminator) and worked medium to slow speed right to the bank and look or any submerged point and you were guaranteed a ish. Picked up a ew quality spots on brown/orange jig

Report: Fished rom 8AM-4PM Monday. Launched at Lime Saddle and went North. Not much action so we went out to the main body. Immediately started catching ish. Caught ish on almost everything we threw. Seducer worms, jigs, and even a ew on white spinnerbaits. It turned out to be a great day with sunshine and only light wind. The ish were biting rom mid-morning until the time we let. About 25 total with 3 over the slot. We had a lot o action in the North Fork just north o Bloomer Ravine.
City: Yuba CityTips: Carolina rigging small plastics seemed to produce our larger ish.

Water Temp: 52 to 64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Orovill on Friday. In at 8am and out at 4:30 Pm. Temp in the AM was 52 but by late aternoon up in the South Fork, ound water at 64 degrees. Was kinda windy but ound areas out o the wind and did well on semi lats around no-nothing banks. 25 ish to 2 lbs mostly on darter heads with worms - weenies o various colors. All were spots, no lg mouths and no smallies. Only on ish on a crank and did not try blades. Good day and its only going to get better.
City: davisTips: Swimmin the worms and keeping contact with the bottom seemed to work best.

Water Temp: 57-59
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Did pretty good today. We got 40 ish, some nice 2's, and a at 3. All the at ones were hens, mostly shallow. Just shaking worms, 4-6 inch green/brown. Light spinning gear seemed to be the ticket as usual. Did get one on a brown on brown jig, but nothing to brag about. The bite was great rom 8-12, then slowed a little to 3.
City: ParadiseTips: Look or potential spawning areas to ind the better numbers o better ish. Fish are stacked good in the right places.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Honey Lake Bass had there second Tourney. It was better than I had expected. The weather was clear and a little wind was nice, instead o heavy wind and rain like it has been. The bite was still slow or my partner and I. But congradulations to Wilson and Siton o Westwood on a job well done. They used Gitz-its and caught a nice limit o ish on the north ork. We started ripping irst thing and stayed with or most o the morning. Caught a couple o nice ish ish to weigh in but not enough to place.
City: Susanville, CATips: ish hard rip and blade in the morning.Brown with purple Flake Jigs, Grubs, Six Shooter green weenies on darter heads. Husky Raps in clown and blue & silver, and White spinner baits. Fish are on the bank up tight. Don't orget those lucky Gitz its Green and red Flake, Good Luck

Water Temp: 50-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fish the 100% Future Pro with my partner. We thought we were going to have a reaction bite early. Partner stuck a 2.52lb spot irst thing and then we didn't catch another ish till later in the day. We tries jigs to noavail. Our other 3 ish came on 6in brown weenies o steep rocky points down to 20 t. We insihed 7th, last in the money. Conditions were not avorable. 50+mph winds and rain kept us wanting to go home.
City: Suisun CityTips: 1st place inishers ished jigs all day and had a 20 ish day. We were not so lucky. They ished brn on brn jigs in shallow water.

Water Temp: 46 degrees
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished 100% tourny out o the spillway today. Fish were in 10 to 20 eet o main lake points. My partner and I boated 4 beore the wind blew us o our bite. Try dartheading grubs and worms, greens and browns. There was no reaction bite at all in the morning. Tried it all: rip baits, blades, cranks, and traps. Couldn't even get a jig ish. Good luck to anyone else, its gonna stay tough until some nice weather comes through.
City: LaayetteTips: BE CAREFULL IN THE WIND. IT WAS VERY VERY ROUGH OUT THERE TODAY. Stick to the Delta (its got bigger and better ish)
