Report: Brisk north wind made or white caps on the Sac and McCloud arms most o the day. High temp was barely 50 degrees but the wind made it bone chilling cold.Fished Shasta Region Federation tourney. We tried spinnerbaits and crankbaits througout the day on windy banks with no success. The rest o the day we drop shotted in 20' to 40' o water catching alot o good quality 2# average spots. Our weight or the six ish limit was 18.00# even.

Jones Valley loat is still not repaired and is on the beach meaning you can't tie up on both sides o the loat.

Report: got in at 9AM, air temp 46, jones valley loat up on the beach, the track is busted, went up to the top o squaw creek, banged around and couldn't get anything going on the drop shot, water very murky and stu loating in it rom the rain, very cloudy, no wind, ran back down hitting dierent spots, had one pulldown on the drop shot on a blue ghost but he let go, ran back dodwn to the stumpield just north o the rockpile and started picking them up in 48 t o water on Big Daddy's worm and a 1/4 oz darter head, I really had to let them load the rod bigtime or all u got baack was hal a worm or no worm at all. 11 hits, 6 on with 5 in the boat, all were 1.6 lb spots/clones. I had to ish very slowly and nearly straight up and down due to all the stumps in the area. The deepest came out o 53 t. and had to be dellated. Report: got going real late, in the water at 1245Pm at Jones Valley, wind up and blowing about 15mph, the jones valley loat was pushed up against the bank creating problems or some older gentlemen trying to put their jetcrat in. got them squared away and decided to run around and just look things over, lake has come up a oot with the rain to 64t, a bit murky, ran up to panther canyon, no ish where I ound them the other day, up to arbuckle, no ish again except or a ew trout in the lat o o arbuckle, sugarpine had a ew in 45t o the main point, they were not interested in my drop shot, watched the resident bald eagle at sugarpine nail a large trout, he had to swim it to shore to get it out o the water, ran back down to Clickapudi and tossed a jig at one o the stumps and "WHAP" something dang near ripped the rod out o my hand, it elt unny and up comes a large rainbow with my jig stuck in the side o his head, he rolled in the line and busted o. The wind quits and I spend an hour and a hal running around looking at the bottom over by squaw creek, ound a bunch o ish o o squaw point in the trees that are coming up right at sunset, get back to the ramp and the same gentlemen are there struggling to get their rig on the trailer, I run it up on the trailer and they show me two nice trout rom the upper end o the pit. in at 63 degrees, out at 51, temp dropped 10 degrees in 15 minutes as the sun went down. Lots o trout active in the upper Pit, quite a ew shad around but not much bunched up, they are all spread out. Pressure bites are the rule now, morning bite the best and the earlier the better. Report: A bit nippy this AM so I did some chores and headed or Hirz Bay, got there at 945AM, 39 degrees, sun up and the og disapating, ran over across rom Kamloops(Dekas Rock) and poked around droopshotting, had numerous taps but got only a hal a worm back or no worm, had them nose hooked, changed the rig to wacky style and that took care o that, no more taps, went down the east shore north o Dekas Rock in the shade(brrrr cold) and ound some ish in 13 t o water in a couple o cuts along sosme red banks, whipped out the jig and banged three real quick, all were exactly 1.7 lb spots, very lethargic and sot pressure bites, two guys rom Wash State rolled up rom about 200 yards out and inquired what I was doing so I gave them the ino and tossed them a couple o my jig heads and plastic, let them to work the shallow stu and was about 100 yards upstream when one o them started hollering and boated another good spot, they came back over to me and we talked about the ish being so shallow, I told them that this is unusual and probably due to the 2 1/2 inches o rain the last day or so. I continued on and ished till 230PM and caught a ew more dinks and pulled out behind the two guys rom Wash St.They got o on Pine Grove and were heading or phils. water down to 64.90 t and a bit murky, no wind today and the temp was 51 when I pulled out. Report: rained hard yesterday so I punked out and waited until today, in the water at 717AM, 31 degrees boy was it un whistling up the pit throught that mist, I was so bundled up that it took 10 minutes to get all the stu o to ish, went to the entrance o dark canyon or 3 on a dropshot rig, on was a dink that jumped o on the casting deck and hurled himsel? back into the lake, one was a 1lb and a little bit the other was 1.8. Went up to Arbuckle creek, zero, moved to the other bank just west o Arbuckle lat and stuck a nice 2.6 on a jig. Went back over to the red point adjacent to sugarpine and lost 3 dinks on the dropshot rig, 2 on the bottom hook and one on the top, collectively they might have gone 20 inches. no other boats showed up until about 1030. green worms seemed the most productive, dark green that is. out o the water at 130pm air temp 48. lake down to 64.40 and stable, a little discolored rom the rain. The drop shotted ish were all caught between 35-48t, the jig ish was taken at 35t, all were caught with a straight up and down presentation. Report: launched out o Jones Valley, on the water at 6:30, spent my day in the Pit and Sqaw trying two new baits, boated 21, w/4 over 2pds., biggest being 2.9, worked main lake points, and along the points i they were airly steep. The baits are rom BigBsworms. I used the brushhog & earthworm, the best color or the day was Dark Amber Green #5 with a 1/8oz. darter. I was very impressed w/these baits, the brushog is a soter plastic unlike Zoom's Hog, giving it a better tecture, the bass didn't want to let go, they are 6" baits, and they just inhaled them. The Earthworm is a bait alot like the Senko, what I liked about it was, it alls slower than a Senko, making it even more versatile, along w/being a soter bait, my hook has no problem penatrating through & inding bone. To get these baits, call Bryan Oakey at 1-805-922-5981 or e-mail him,BigBsBass@aol.com He's got over three hundred colors, I'm able to get colors that I can't ind elsewhere.
City: ReddingTips: Main Lake Points, airly steep edges leading back into coves. 1/8oz. Darters, w/8pd. test line on a med/Lt 6-1/2'spinning rod, all ish I caught were 8 to 24'dp.

Report: went out o jones valley at 730am, air temp 37, over near the crows nest in the pit across rom Ski Island, dredged up one 13 incher out o 26t o water, most all are suspended, moved around a bit over by the ort creek coves and clickapudi, couldn't get anything else to bite, watched a riend work some stumps out in ront o clickapudi or about an hour, he didn't catch anything dropshotting worms, wind came up about 1030 but quit around noon, trout trollers are doing a brisk business moving up the uppper arms, guess the rainbows are going upstream to prepare or the spawn, water a bit murky ater the turnover has been completed, went home around 130pm, air temp 70 degrees. The earlier you get out the better you will do i you can handle the cold mornings. I sure do hate running through that mist in the AM!
City: ReddingTips: spooning is the up and coming way to stick some ish as they settle in or the winter, the wind will make dropshotting a problem but you can still catch some, I have been using a two hook rig with the lower about a oot and a hal o the bottom, the upper about three t o the bottom
