    Report: Bass bite is good but small ish. There is a huge chad population in the lake, the lake has not turned over, but when it dose "LOOK OUT". With the large population o shad the Bass are just sitting on the bottem.Trout to 4 - 5 lbs. being caught all over the main body, they are hard to catch because o all the shad.     Report: At irst we had no luck. Twords the end o the day we had great luck. We did great on blue-purple worms. We caoght our limit in about one to two hours. The size was also very good, They were all keepers except or about three o them. I put them allback.

    Report: The lake is starting to turn over. Bass action has been good or numbers o ish, size has been small. Bigger Bass on the way in the next ew weeks.Trout action good, Rainbows hitting rom surace down to around 20 eet. Some Samon action 30 to 50 eet, occasionally Browns have started to show.

    Report: Bass ishing is downright miserable. I ishing or bass ish early morning then go home, thats how bad it is. Now on the other hand go trout ishing, it's great. The trout are averaging rom 16" to 24". Trolling 30 to 60 eet down. Fish any area on the main part o the lake rom Jones Valley to the Dam. Try around Ski Island, ished there yesterday ater ishing or 4 hrs. or Bass using everything and got skunkd. Started ishing or trout and in 5 passes around Ski Island released 12 ish.

    Report: Trout/Salmon ishing has been good, limits coming easy. Fish are down 40 to 65 eet. Bas has been slow due to the ish being suspended around balls o shad in 35 eet o water or more. Night time ishing has been the best, the Bass come up into the shadows ater dark.

    Report: Bass ishing is maderate to poor during the day time. Earky morning and evening is good or top water ishing in the coves around bushes and banks. Night ishing is productive around the steep walls in 12 to 15 eet o water.Night cat ising is good in20 eet o water.Trout ishing is good to excellent, averging 15 to 24" ishSome Salmon are being caught i 40 to 70 eet o water.

    Report: Top water picking up in early morning and late aternoon. Daytime also not to bad but have to work to get limits, the ish are starting to show a little bigger to 3 1/2 lbs.Trout has been scatterd at various depths 50 to 70 eet.Salmon has slowed down isherman are getting ish in 70 to 80 eet o water at the dam.

    Report: Early morning we tryed the spinnerbaits and the poppers and they seemed to be unproductive. We later went to the good old plastic worm setup. The best colors were nightcrawler brown and purple with a chartreuse tail. Be sure to texas rig with the smallest weight possible. The bass are inicky, but well bite i you are patient with your retrieve. Use 4 inch worms

    Report: Lake has slowed down over the last week during the day. Early Am and late PM is your best bet. Top water during this time. During the day use spinner bates light in color.     Report: Not much change rom last week. Bassing is great ish 12 to 14", some larger ish. Hitting on plastics all over the lake. Trout ishing, no problem, ish up to 3 lbs. Troll with nichle pattern Humdingers, Cripplures or crowlers in 30 to 40 eet o water.     Report: Fishing good in early AM. and late aternoon evening. Bass on the hunt with warming water. Limit easy on dark red colored plastics. Fish seem to be around 10/15 eet down coming up within 5 eet o the bank Am/PM. Trout are down 30 to 40 eet some deepercatching on crowlers trolling. Going back out on Friday will up date.

    Report: Bass on bite all over the lake 12 to 14 inches. Trout troller no problem with limits. up to three pounds, ew larger. tips: Bass on plastc worm, 4in on red ox blood colors. Bass ranging 12 to 14in with some larger to 16 plus inches. Trout (Bow's, Browns,and Salmon) Pulling nickle pattern Humdingers, Cripplers, crowlers in 30 to 40 eet o water. Work the body o water to the dam.

    Report: report: ished 6/13/98 ishing was great! the day started out overcast , the topwater bite was good or most o the morning, we were throwing sot jerk baits the whole lake seemed good . points had good ish on them as soon as the sun got up we switchedto gubs in a shad color on a darter head , ish were spiting up shad , 50+ ish day big ish was a 3.5lb spot and a 4lb smallmouth , we launched out o jones valley

    Report: Fished 25th and 26th in the Pit arm caught and released 43 bass, mostly smallmouth with a ew bigmouth. Biggest ish was 3.5 bigmouth. Caught all ish on 2 1/2in pumpkinseed grub with a 1/8 bullet. Weather was diicult or the most part, rain, wind evena little sleet. Fish were deep 30 to 40' o o the clis. I you like the cold now is the time to get in some great smallmouth ishing. tips: I like to use smaller grubs in the 2-2 1/2in in the pumpkinseed color. Also try black or purple with chartreusetail. Tender Tubes also work.

    Report: Fished a Fish & Game Tournament Saturday & Sunday. Lots o ish in the Sacramento arm. Most o the ish came on worm's, with some on crank baits. Seccondary points were the key in about 10 to 15 eet. Folks talk about 40 ish days and this weekend was one o them. By the way, we won with 2+ pounds to spare.tips: Fish secondary points and i you ind willows hit the sides and then in the middle with a dart head.

    Report: 4/18/98-4/25/98- Caught 25-40 ish per day. 70 pct o ish were 12in-16in. Bigger ish came throwing spooks and blades around trees in 80'-100' o water in creek channels up the Pit. On 4/21, water temp had reached 70 deg, then the cold ront hit. Fishedcompany tourney(on 4/25), big ish caught was 6.6 lbs and 5.4lbs. 6.6(largemouth, McCloud Arm) was caght by someone ishing the willows in backs o coves with Fin-S lure. 5.4(spot, Pit Arm) caught irst thing in AM on a spider jig(watermelon seed). I caugt ish on spider jigs, blades, and swimmin' a grub, all on steep walls up the Pit . Also some descent ish on chart./blue crank bait.
