    Water Temp: warming

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: The lake is still clearing, but the moss is already forming?!?...Caught several large mouths. Mostly in the 1 to 2lb range. Senkos, Kreatures and real crawlers. Also caught a few nice sized sun fish. Was a bit windy, but had a great time. I love this lake.
    City: San Rafael

Tips: watermelon w black flake color and a cimamon w purple flakes worked for us. I cut the barbs off my hooks for catch and release, but it caused me to lose a nice one when it got into the moss....have fun

Report: On the water at 7am, fished main lake coves/timber for 1 bite 'til 7:45. Moved to northern end of lake, had most action around tules in very shallow water w/ a drop off nearby. Good bite on weightless senkos pitched right into tules and twiched a little...also some fish on t-rigged curly tail worms around wood. Got one little guy on topwater(popper)around 10am.

Tips: Fish were pretty agressive. Try some reaction baits. Had to leave early, didn't crank or spin too much. Plenty of fish on plastics though.

The bass were about 60/40 largemouth and smallies. Largest was 3 pounds. No crappie as of yet, but hundreds of juvie redear could be seen. Fun day.

Report: Hey Slabside, I normally fish the Yorty Creek area out of Cloverdale with much sucess. Once you locate them you can haul one in just about every cast. I found that a simple jig under a bobber works the best, well other than worms but you can go through a container of redworms in less than an hour.

    Water Temp: 64 - 70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out Sunday with my 9 year old Mikey for our first 2006 Sonoma Trip. Launched at 8:30 at a crowded ramp. Mikey drove us north to Cherry creek; we tried Spinner Baits and Senkos. Pretty muddy, less that 2 feet visibility. First fish 9:20 a one pounder on a Helix. Slow and staedy another at 10:10 then 10:15 .... last fish at 3:45. Went north to Dry creek, clear water all the way up at the end of the Creek and saw some fish cruising. Most of our fish already spawned out. Mikey landed and released 10 fish alltogether, mostly on a Helix or Senko with one fish on a crankbait. Beautiful day, over 80 outside and high 60's in the water with limited wind. Mikey did alot of swimming and had a really fun fishing day. Big fish 3.5 best five only 10.2 lbs. Interesting ending to the day, sheriff came down to the dock and asked me if I saw a sinking boat near the ramp said one was reported - maybe we'll read about it later. Lots of clowns, no sinking boats. Several Ski boats and smokers still launching at 4:00 on Sunday.
    City: Pacifica

Tips: Slow bite, senko fish pretty much just picked it up and swam, had to line watch. No fish on t-Rig, Jerk bait, drop shot or blades. Great weather. Saw one bedfish stayed over her for a few minutes but she wasn't locked on so we let her go, would have our big fish. Kids make the trip GREAT!

Report: fished thursday with my old man (apr.27). playede hooky from work so got a late start, about 10 am. Started in yorty and had 20 in the boat by noon. very warm with no breeze. most fish caught on senkos in watermelon and motor oil w/ red flake. fish were on gravel banks and secondary points, not real tight to cover. i also caught a few drop shotting robo worms. moved to a cove off warm springs arm and caught 10 more including pops boating a nice 6.8 in front of a father and son across the way. they asked what we were using and i asked if they had any dark senkos. 5 minutes later i see the father yelling for the net. a big bass close to 10 lbs! needles to say they thanked us for the tip. left at 4pm. Great day with pops on the water. Sunday got an earlier start with a buddy. Same results,40 fish most in the 2-3 lb range. very healthy. 50-50 senko and drop shot.
    City: santa rosa

Tips: this is my first report. thanks to all who post reports. i am learning a lot. sonoma is a finese lake. as much as i love watching all the guys in there fancy boats throwing everything but plastics, believe me they are all you need here. SENKOS, brush hogs, craws and drop shot will always do best. i hope this helps

    Water Temp: 56-61

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Tried everything everywhere. Had two bites all day. Got one in the boat (2.5# largemouth) on a black yamamoto worm, other bite on a crankbait, but lost it before I saw it. Fished primarily Yorty and Cherry creeks, but tried main lake and even cranked the dam to no avail. If the rain stays away and the water clears and stabilizes, it should turn on quick. Lots of fry already in Yorty, Could the bass already have spawned?

Hopefully the reaction bite'll turn on here pretty soon. Nice to see some sun, huh?

    Water Temp: 52-58

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: The lake got cold and muddy once again from the recent rain. I got 2 bites all day one fish in the boat about 2.5 and one got off at the boat. Nothing for me seem to work except crankin.

Tips: smack the bottome with your crank bait. I was thowing a DT 10' in 9 foot of water bouning it on the bottom to get my fish.
