Report: Back agin or another season. Started out late this year. Shouldve been ishing 3 weeks ago. Blame it on all the rain! Went it early am, very oggy morning. Quite a ew boats already on the water. We tried all the hotspots on the lake starting with Yorty creek. We threw yellow spinnerbaits to no avail, switched to senkos & inally got some hookups, nothing to brag about, in act noone will ever see these ish as they were released as ast as they were unhooked. The digital camera is still at zero. Best was 3 lbs. skinny & very pale. Need a week o hot weather. Going to skip a couple o weeks, next week going to hunt a private ranch or the opener o Turkey season, 2nd week going down to La Paz or some R&R! Lake is super ull & really too cold yet! I think with the rising levels the ront that's coming in pushed ish deeper into a no action mode.

Report: Put on a warm shirt, grabed two sets o rain gear and made my very irst trip ever to this pint size lake or some ish'n and a turkey scout(got a draw or end o a month). Got out o the truck,(rain all day) asked a guy which way i should go he pointed to what i believed to be north? Fished or about an hour nothing. Then, about 8am got bit, and it never really let up, no big'uns, just one every 10-15 minutes or so. Jigs worked best(brown) brushhogs also(pumk).Carolina (4 inch worm) would get bit every time but too many dinks. Fish were rom 1 oot to 20 eet must 5-10 oot area. Look or rocks, muddy banks had no ish grass areas OK. Had no luck on hard baits or spinnerbaits. Didn't put a senko in the water. why? Don't know.(to much wind. thats my story) Quit at 2 or so with 15+ 1/2 to 2.5. Gonna take an extra day during turkey season to ish this lake again. Hope to see better ish then. Other wise, what a cool little lake, so don't tell any one.

Water Temp: 54-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: launched at 8:00am and headed up to the warm springs arm to do some much needed lippin. Flipped brown jigs with brown pork and a watermelon red brush hog on trees and layed down timber. The bite was slow at irst but picked up very ast with the sun comming up. Had the irst ish o the day on and it was a nice 4lber, the bites started to roll ater that. The brush hog took several ish into the 3-4 pound range, but the big ish came on the jig n pig. Ended the day with a nice limit o 20lbs all on lippen.
City: GeyservilleTips: The ish are moving into the shallow water to stage and eed thru the day. Key in on tinber and lats that have lay down wood with deep water near by. Work the jig slow and thorough. The ish will slam the bait and let you know they have it. Good luck and lipp your heart out or the big ones.

Water Temp: 51-58
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: For all the times I've struggled on this lake I deserve a good day. A good day it was, but unusual. On the lake at 2:00. I went back to Cherry, and early on caught a sub-2lber on a Skeet's Creature--one o those new Cyberlex baits that Terminator is marketing. I love those things. Water was murky, but a warm 56-58, and I thought they would be active back there. They weren't, really, so I decided to head to the back o Dry Creek to see what was going on. Beore I let Cherry, though, I was tossing a spinnerbait and got snagged on someone's broken line. I untangled it rom my bait and noticed it was moving. I "reeled" it in with my hands, and whatever was on the other end ought like hell. I inally got it to the side o the boat, and it broke o!! I think it was a large steelhead. I saw that it was large, but didn't get a good enough look to positively identiy it. Probably saved his little ishy lie. Dry creek was good to me. Water was clearer, but still stained, and cooler at 50-51 degrees. Same spinnerbait on the shady side, shallow and in some trees, and the line got heavy. I set the hook and reeled in a beautiul 4lbr. Sweet. Right within sight o another boater right across the channel who had been at it longer than me. Always satisying. Next cast, WHAM!! like a ton o bricks. Fought like hell, too. I reeled in a beautiul, 4lb.......squawish? Yep. Have never beore seen one in this lake. I ished or another 1/2 hour, sun going down, and tried one last spot that's been good to me in the past. A shallow toss o the spinnerbait in some brush, and.....one last 4lbr or the road. Nice ish. Nice aternoon. Weird, but nice.
City: Santa RosaTips: People are stingy with real ino on this site, and I understand that. Here's a bone, though. No doubt ish can be ound deep or shallow right now on this lake. However, I've been having more success shallow. Real shallow. 1-5 eet. White spinnerbaits and Skeet's creatures (dark ones) in lie downs right up close to the bank have consistently produced nice ish or me or the last month. Thanks, Skeet, or your wonderul creature. Now, you all throw me a bone once in a while, eh?

Water Temp: 51-54
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: WOW!!!This lake is in prime shape and kickin out some impressive ish. No big numbers today (8 total) but the best 5 weighed 21.49 lbs on the cul-m-rite. Two 6's help that bag. Could not buy a reaction ish or a jig ish. With the lake dropping a little we decided on working the creek channel breaks near the lats with carolina rigged lizards, brush hogs and worms. Very slow bite but nice ish. Thanks to Patrick or another great day on Sonoma. The cold nights and mornings are still keeping these water temps down.
Tips: I think this lake will go crazy when the water temps reach back up to the 59-60 degree mark....LOOK OUT!!!!!
