    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out on Monday, day after the Sunday soaker and got all of 2 bites. Left my danged sonar at home so even though I planned on fishing 20-30ft deep overall, had to guestimate based on experience in certain areas. Grrrr... felt 'naked' without electronics. Anyway, dragged brushhogs slowly for 1 bite in morning, then tried reaction as sun came out sun but nothing. D/S in entrance/arm to Cherry for zilch, then fished main lake points (d/s) toward end and got one decent smallie. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Se6F_ljfj6A
    City: San Rafael

Tips: D/S 20-30 off points. Go deeper as necessary---esp if you can graph fish (which of course requires you remember YOUR sonar; ha). MOST IMPORTANT: Sign up for the Redwood Empire Bass Club's annual Open/Turkey Shoot! It's on Saturday 12/18 at Lake Sonoma! Sign up forms available at http://www.rebc.net/openpdfs.html so fill out a form for YOUR team and fax to James at 415-364-2880!

Report: Started the day trolling for steelies and caught a nice 15" steelhead by 8:30. Top lining a Rapala CD-9 on 8lb test. Fish hit as I completed a turn near the Sheriff's cove. After 9:00 I headed to the Warm Springs area to try for some bass. Fished main lake areas with various plastics, but did not get a bite.
    City: Rohnert Park

Tips: Marked a lot of fish while trolling at the 70'-80' depth. Didn't have a downrigger to get that deep so if you do, give it a try.

    Water Temp: 63 -69

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Friday 5/14/10, l fished from the back of the boat. Depending on the location on the lake, the water temperature ranged from 63 to 69

Tips: In protected areas where the water was calm, we could still see fish on beds. If you are real patient (about 20 minutes), you can irritate one of these fish enough to get it to bite. We also saw many schools of fry from fish that had spawned earlier.

Tips: All our fish came on wacky style. All mornning we were not getting fish and then we got into some fish. It went from no bites to they attacked the bait. Most all of our fish came in one cove. Good fishing

    Water Temp: 65 or so

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had a great day down the Yorty Creek arm. Started out slow sight fishing for some cruising fish in 5 foot of water with weightless worms and other soft plastics, but the fish weren't super interested. Saw lots of pairs actually in the act of spawning and left those alone. Only caught two fish between ten and two but then the fish went on a tear between two and four and I caught about 18, including my biggest bass in three years and a fat 2.5 lb smallie. I caught them all on a shallow diving ripbait and they were all in 5-6 feet of water and 6-15 feet from the bank. The big female I caught weighed about 8 lbs and would have been my biggest bass ever if she hadn't just spawned. I also got crapped on by a cormorant, but I didn't mind so much since it was a great day.

    Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started off fishing Yorty Creek arm with my brother in-law John with not much success, water was dirty & stained and the temp dropped down to 54. We picked up few on drop shot, tried crankbait, spinnerbait & Jerkbait with no takers. With all the rain at the beginning of the week it messed things up, the fish were back out on the points and suspending. It was sunny but pretty windy, which made things a little tough, we ended up with 9 fish, largest was 3lbs by John, then we left @ 3:00.
    City: Pacifica

Tips: Wait for a couple of weeks of warm weather and it should be good.
