Caught at least 50(after awhile i stopped counting) drop-shoting a red&white crappie jig w/ a 3ft tag to keep it just above the weeds. I saw one gentlemen w/ a 4+ LM on a white blade, only bass i saw all day.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 2pm to 5:30 in a float tube towards the backside firehouse. Threw a lil bit of this and that. But the only action I got was a nice hit on a Buzz bait about 5. The wind would come and go and so would the rain. I dont really fish this lake much but i plan to tube there more often.

    Water Temp: 55deg

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: i took my float tube out and dropshotted 4inch worms with a secret weapon that tends to catch fish everytime i use it so far. i caught two lg mouth bass, one 2lber and one 3lber. the best ive ever done here under the worst conditions.
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: i caught them around 10am and 10:10am when it was barely drizzling, only started raining when i left at about 2:15pm. caught them around the same bank. they were fat and probably on beds. i learned awhile ago that SCR is ahead of all the other lakes in the Spawn, post spawn and pre spawn stages and the post spawn is longer bcuz of the coldness of the water takes time to get the bass active again. happy fishing!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Water level is kinda low right now. Alot of debris (i.e. tree's and schrub) in water. Was out there from 8 A.M. to noon and no bass but switched to trout and caught 2 Med. size trout.
    City: Santa Clara

Tips: Stevens Creek Res. will probably be better in a month. Water is still to muddy.

    Water Temp: ------

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Wow, this whole 'all trout have mercury or some amount' could make bass fishing more dominant. less people will go trout fishing which keeps more of them in the lakes for the bass to eat. Hope thats true.

    Water Temp: high sixties

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: arrived at the lake around five. We decided to fish the middle coves of the main lake, from our kickboats. The wind was blowing, but there were places where you could seek shelter. Managed to pull up two keepers, biggest going 1.5lbs. My caught one keeper. I also missed a nice one, off of a submerged tree branch.

    Water Temp: n/a

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: This is a report for Friday May 28, 04. Here it is: The sky was
over-casted and there was a little bit of rain at night. The condition was so convincing that I decided to fish for a few hours before school. Started cranking the dam with no bite. Then switched to
a Carolina-rigged worm. After half an hour, got a good one, a 6-0 pound bass (23" length x 17" girth). This fish was my biggest Stevens' Creek bass so far. Then continued fishing the dam a little more with no more bite. Decided to move to the launch and caught a dink (about a pound). Called it a day around 10AM.
    City: Palo Alto

Tips: Due to the high water level if you fish from the shore, it's quite
difficult to find a good cover. Instead, look for the transition zone such as where the concrete bottom changes to the dirt bottom.
(I used the Carolina rig to probe the bottom.) And keep you bait there as long as you could. A small plastic in dark color seems to work well.

    Water Temp: 68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the lake about 6:30 am in the very back of the lake, water was pretty warm and started with some top water-no luck, then switched to a suspending jerkbait, smithwick onrange and black, and caught 4 bass, biggest going 2lbs. my buddy also caught 3 fish none keepers. Tried spinnerbait bite, flip bite with no luck, night time might be better for topwater bite.
    City: Palo Alto

Tips: early or late in the day is your best bet, topwater could get better with consistent warm weather, tight lines!

    Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: First time float-tubing. A lot of fun plus a lot of challenging. (I had some difficulties setting a hook. The tube tended to go forward to the fish on the hook-setting. This reduced tension in the line and I ended up loosing some fish. And most of the time fish swam toward the deep water (which was me) and I couldn

Tips: Look for heavy cover or floating trash.
