Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: The last Thursday nite tournament o the season turned out to be a real barn burner as at least 4 anglers had a shot at winning the $380.00 up or grabs. In the end it was Colby Knowles, a 17yr. old Paradise High School student and his dad Allan who won the money. Father and son shared a very special moment when Colby hooked a 21" spotted bass on a senko. Although weight is not a actor in these tournaments, the corrected weight o the ish was 4lbs.9oz. The next ish checked was also a large spot at 20". This ish would have easly gone 4lbs. as well. My partner and I would like to thank everyone who was able to come out this year and look orward to doing it again probably starting in May. One inal note, with the water being so low, lots o rocks are starting to show and not all are marked. Probably best to stay in the center o the channels on plane and go into the bank on the trolling motor.
      City: Paradise, Ca.

Tips: Obviously there's a senko ish or 2 out there. Crankbaits, Jigs and Worms are working as well. No other reports were given.

With the early high tide the ish wouldn't hit the Buzz Bait very good. Most o the ish were near tules and weeds. Then to mildred rocks and weed 1 on the Buzz bait and a couple on the speed trap. At 11:00 wen to Bull rog area and got 4 bite on the Buzz Bait with 3 in the boat. We then hoped around middle river with only a ew ish one good lost on a 10in worm. Then over to old river and we cauhgt another 10-12 bass a couple over 2 and a 3.5 on a senko. Only 2 senko ish the 3.5 and a 2.0. A tough day to cast with the wind and too windy to ish deep today but a good speed trap bite.Fish seem to be scattered now and bite is getting a little toughter than it been. We also ripped a couple o ish on a proto-type bait rom Persuader

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out or a un trip w/ some riends rom work that don't ish much (my irst guide trip - HAR HAR). Cranked rip rap irst thing in the morning in Taylor & Piper (shoulda seen the three o us throwing cranks up the bank at the same time - what a calamity - no injuries though). Seemed like alot o 1-2 lbers in the area. Ater 5 - 6 ish, moved to Sandmound area. Spinnerbait bite was good rom ~ 8 - 10 Am. Ater that, the wind really picked up and orced us o our spots. Tried lippin' some new areas w/ various plastics without much luck. Fun day, but not much size. WHERE HAVE ALL THE MATS GONE?
      City: Castro Valley

Tips: No topwater bite early. Cranks were best early (1/8 oz Speed Traps - tough in the wind). Once wind picked up, spinnerbaits seemed to work better (wht/chart). With the high tide in the morning, ish were REAL shallow. Good numbers available right now, just no pigs. Fish more!!
