Worm and Jig but today the ish were on the baknk in 1-3t o water, maybe we were ishing too deep or previous hours. We would go down the bank or 100-200 yards then hit a pocket o ish and catch 4-10 ish. Then at the end o the day the bite was on ish were hitting the Buzz Bait some in some not and i you missed a Buzz Bait ish you could throw a senko and catch um. From 2:30 to 3:30 we landed 10 ish all 2-2.5lbs Daily total 30 bass no catsIt hard to believe in my last ten trips we landed 20 or more ish what a great place to live!
      City: Concord

Tips: Throw worms in current to catch bass, throw Buzz Baits all- day no shade to catch bigger bass

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took the dog or an evening walk around Contra Loma at about 8:00.On the way out the door I grabbed a pole that already had a 6" Senko rigged up. I ished the west side o the lake, where the wind wasn't as bad. On the third cast I caught and realeased a 2lber.Next cast in the same spot got me another 2lber.Both ish were in the weeds.I moved down the shoreline to the next opening. I had the Senko close to shore and I was just about to make another cast and I let sink one more time. As soon I let go I saw a bass inhale it and make a U-turn. I landed it and it was a at 3lber. On the next cast to the let, I saw a slight twitch in the line.I set the hook and this big beautiul bass gave an aerial perormance. This one was atleast 4lbs. I released her and realized I was running out o daylight. So I made one more cast to the right, and or the irst time I elt a hard bite on the senko. I set the hook and the ish ran or the tules. I couldn't get him out.I could see the ish in the tules in ront o me, it was another 2lber. I waited or awhile hoping he would swim out. Finally I just snapped the line and he was gone.I haven't done much bass ishing this year due to a melted piston on my Champion, but it was nice to have a good outing on the bank with the dog.All ish ought real hard and jumped a lot.It was un.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Senkos.I used watermelon but just about any color will work. Watch that line or anything unusual. The only thing that I don't like about the senko is that ish take it without me detecting it sometimes. So when you get 'em in they've got the hook way done their throat.

Report: Launched at 10:00am and went up the main part o the lake and started ishing at the no ski bouys on the points no luck not even a bump. Fished the trees nothing, ished Yorty and Cherry nothing again so I was almost ready to call it a day but I decided to go southwest and try another part o the lake so I headed my Triton up past the marina to some part o Sonoma I've never been, by this time it was almost 6:00pm when I caught my irst bass 2.0lbs then ished a point close to where I picked up the 1st ish and landed a 3.6lb and then a 1.5lb and then nothing it was like the bass had lock-jaw then I did call it a day. Tried a bunch o dierent lures till I ound the one that caught the ish and that lure as a Duh jig summer moss the old color not the new skirt color 1/4oz.

      Water Temp: 68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Hit the water by 6AM. Started with red buzzbait and killed 'em. Bites slowed so I started throwing blades (white & chatreuese). Got a ew shakers but nothing good. Went to some o my "spots" and threw Senko's most o the day. Nothing. These things are overrated and don't catch hogs. I recommend bubble gum trickle worms in these summer conditions. Hell, I even broke out my Banjo minnow kit and had great success. Will be preishing or upcoming tournament so i you see me leave me alone.
      City: Brentwood

Tips: Don't bother the pro's when we're preishing.

I ished or three hours this morning throwing a small popper, a buzzbait, a small jerkbait, a tube, and a small worm. Nothing. It was very cold and windy today, but the water was very warm never the less (at least 75 F). I I am really insane, I'll try again tomorrow.

Report: Guide trip with Paul rom Las Vegas, great day. The top water bite was slow because o the real high tide in the morning, so we opted or Speed trap (Crystal Craw) and landed 2 nice one in the AM a 3.25 and 4.75 in the Quimby area borh ish were early high tide rock and weeds. We then hop scothed down old river picking up about 15 to 20 more ish mostly small on 6" witches t worms. The ish were o the bank today in the weed line or just outside, as the day went onand the tide went out we landed 3 more ish in the 4lb range all on weed point and all using a Persuader Blade in Blade Cht Buzz bait. I also got a 5lb Cat on a Jig in Woodward and Paul got a 3lb cat on a senko? This was a great day or this time o year we had about 19lb or ive.
      City: Concord

Tips: Fish are in the current in the rocks and weeds, just go down the bank and catch um.

Report: went ishin on saturday, and killed them. I landed about 25 bass, all between 2-5 pounds. I caught them all on chartreuse and white spinnerbaits, and dropshottin a crawdad colored inesse worm. it was an awesome day, because I dont usually land that many quality ish all day long.
      City: brentwood

Tips: in the morning, ish ast spinnerbaits, in the aternoon hit the shady side o docks, and in low tide, throw worms around the rocks. God bless, and good luck.

Report: Well, I was there irst thing in the morning today. I rented a boat and headed or the East Cove. I tossed poppers or a while at irst light, and had a very large bass swim by it, but wasn't interested. Then I tried a spinnerbait or a while, nothing. Then, I proceeded back to the west end where I tossed worms and brush hogs or the rest o the day. I didn't hook any bass, but the Yellow Perch wouldn't live my plastics alone. One o the perch I inadvertantly hooked was chased all the way to the boat by a large bass. Overall, a very rustrating day during the time o year I typically do well here.
      City: Clayton

Tips: Try perch patterned baits. There all over the place and the bass are ollowing hooked ones.

Report: fished from shore w/ a friend from 7:00am to 9:30am without much luck. fished the first dam first, then the rocks between the first and second dam with no luck. went back to the first dam on our way out and saw a father and son in float tubes catch a few. tried throwing a little of everything this morning and nothing seemed to work.
      City: fremont

Tips: saw some big fish jumping towards middle of lake early in the morning (pre-water skiers). seemed the guys in the float tubes were getting more action further off shore.

      Water Temp: 74-76

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished some area's in the ar north delta to try and beat some o the boat traic on the middle delta..Not as many boats as some parts o the delta but the big crusier's are up there pretty thick.. Anyway, ishing was tough or us and only boated 8 ish rom daybreak to 1:30..Mostly smallmouths but the irst three were largemouths to our suprise..One was a good ish..I don't catch many LM up there ..Couple o nice 2lb smallies too. Buzzbaits, cranks and blades...couldn't buy a bite on a jig or plastic..
      City: San Jose

Tips: We almost watched what could have been a horrible accident..One out o control drunker trying to pass a boat traveling much slower..The passing boat lost control in the wake wash o the boat they were trying to pass..almost t-boned them at about 45mph..missed the other boat by a couple o eet..Then blew threw the no-wake area where we were ishing...it's real hard to just bite my tounge andPlease be sae.

      Water Temp: low 80's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the last hour o daylight with buzzbaits, chug bugs, and super lukes. Best 5 ish limit went about 12 lbs. Big ish went 3.5 lbs.
      City: Buckley Cove, Stockton

Tips: Good topwater bite in the evening and plastics ater dark. All the hyiesint type weeds are dieing o now ater the spraying. It hasn't eected the bass though, numbers o bass are hanging out in the cooler water under the weed mats. casting into open pockets as they drit with the tide.

      Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Back on the Delta ater a 2 week break. I was lucky enough to get authorization rom a riend to ish her private lake and it is a solid algae mat. Average 50 to 60 blow up in a hal day with ish up to 6#'s. Straight awesome! Oh well, back to reality on Sunday. My partner and I got on the water irst light and were hoping to get some kind o topwater bite, but it just didn't work out. We were expecting the bite to be slow because o the bright moon and it turned out that was what was happening. Around 11 am the bite started to pick up over the weeds mats and on the outside o the weedlines with senkos and other dark plastics. We also picked up some Speed Trap and Rattletrap ish when the wind started to blow. Overall, we probably bagged 20 ish, with hal o them being legal. Our biggest ish was 3 1/4 and was caught on a rog. O the water at 1:30.
      City: Roseville

Tips: As mentioned earlier, the bright moon usually seems to slow the bite down until later in the morning. I argued with my buddy or two years that the water is too dirty in the Delta to make a dierence, but I inally have to admit that every time the moon is out shining bright all night, the bite is tough the next morning. This is the reason why we always go or that one big bite by throwing big baits irst thing in the morning ollowing the bright moon.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My dad and I ished the reservoir today rom 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM. I split shotted 4" inesse worms today, which generally produce pretty well this time o year, but came up with nothing. I didn't notice any cruising ish or any ish activity really other than bluegill, yellow perch, and green sunish. Trout are still being caught on nightcrawlers, you just have to be really deep right now. I'll try again tomorrow.
      City: Clayton

Tips: Do your best to imitate natural orage such as crayish, yellow perch, rainbow trout, etc and use a slow presentation. I that doesn't work, ish the Delta!
