Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water around 5:20am and found very active smallies on the west side of the lake. Very windy conditions made it difficult to hook up with the fish on topwater. We missed every single topwater fish so we switched to rip baits and flukes. That was the ticket. Later in the day we switched to 4in weenies and brown jigs. Biggest fish was a 5lb large mouth taken near a dock. Worm color didn't seem to matter as the three of us fished 3 different worms and they all worked. Bite was good until 11am and then it was one here and there until we left at 1pm.
City: SuisunTips: Bite is wide open so throw your favorite bait as you wish...

Report: Talk about a humbling experience!!!! Just when you think your hot stu, a day like this comes along! For once I had the opportunity to go out in a nice bass boat with a riend and hit the water. We saw at LEAST a dozen ish OVER the 10lbs mark swimming in shallow and nesting! The advice I have here is..... be prepared to SEE not CATCH!! The ish are VERY wary and don't like company rom above. The only good chance you WILL have o catching right now are to ind some areas that have ish and work those spots over but good! See below or what worked or us or the ew we did catch.
City: los angelesTips: There are really only two things that got us a ew ish here. I your a artiicials only guy then these were the best ideas we came up or the day. My least avorite which worked well was to ind a nesting ish and put a small sot jerk bait right against their nose and wait until the ish got mad enough to move it o their bedding area. When they put their nose down on the lure you better stike lighting ast beore they spit it out! I know this idea may oend some anglers, so I leave it to you to choose. I personally lean to the idea that this is a last ditch eort to land a ish ater a VERY tough day. I RARELY ever do this because I always eel that you can always ind at least some more active ish out there. The second idea worked only on one ish and it was the three o us just working the shoreline with "Shad Raps" and we just kept on casting. Now, or the best idea, which we were NOT able to pull o. Take a good shad net with you and bag some live shad!!! I you can ind a bait ball (we looked ALL day, but no luck)and get some in the boat, you WILL score some ish! And yes, we tried EVERYTHING else you could think o..... live nightcrawlers, plastic worms rigged anyway you can think o, crankbaits, jerk baits, twitch baits, topwater plugs, etc.!!!! Like I said just when you think your hot stu.....ugh!!! Good luck!

Report: My partner John Kort and I were coming o the high rom the win at the Delta New Bass Tourney and decided i we got a check on Sat. we would ish the Golden State Tourney on Sun. Well, i you look at my previous reports we had really been on a antastic bite. Sunday, however, really put a damper on the roll we had been on. We started out throwing reaction baits and couldn't bit. We then decided to go deep or ish, thinking that with all the pressure on the lake the ish may have dropped down. By 11 we had 4 ish in the live well and were working hard or the 5th. My partner inally nailed a big spawned out 3.7 pound spot out o the trees in about 15 eet o water that illed our limit at about 1:30. Our 5 ish went about 10 pounds. We ended up catching around 15 ish with most o them being undersized. It just igures that in the last 3 months we hadn't had a limit under 14 pounds and less than 30 ish caught and then come tourney day we have to struggle to get a small limit. Though,I guess you have to expect that when there are 3 boats on every point. I am not sure what won the tourney, but I heard it was around 16 pounds.
City: roseville, caTips: The heavy pressure on the lake this weekend made it a tough time. Golden State Bass puts on a irst class tourney, but really needs to consider having it at a dierent time o the year. There was at least 85 boats in the tourney and then you add the other isherman and the pleasure boaters. Forget it! I have never seen such a mad house in all my lie. It took me an hour and ten minutes to get the damn boat out o the water. I was trapped in my parking stall or 40 minutes beore I even got to merge into the traic. No limit is worth the trip we had on Sunday and I know any o you other guys who were out there would agree.

Report: Fished Folsom on Saturday and what a day. Started out by putting a 3lbs. spot in the boat on a super spook, ollowed by a 2lbs. spot on a chug bug. The bite slowed until we started to throw grubs and ended up with 76 ish. The boat traic was heavy at times but it didn't seem to bother the ish. We lost tons o ish. Oh well those days happen. Any color o grub worked!!!!! Also caught a ew ish on cranks and a spinnerbait. Our 5 biggest went 12lbs. Not a lot o big ish but the majority were keepers; over 13 inches. Can't wait to go back!!!!!!

Report: Fished Amador today with Gold Country Bassers. I had a great day! Fished green Senkos on inside weedlines all over the lake. Caught about 25 ish with biggest 7.75 and best 5 went 18.81. My partner Roland Ericson also caught quite a ew with a 4 pound big ish and total weight over 10 or 5. We had a ew ish on topwater, cranks and rip baits, but the Senko was king.
City: MarysvilleTips: Pitch to the inside weedline, let it all on semi-slack line. Watch your line careully, you will not eel many bites.

Report: Fished in the Redwood Empire Bass Club tourney Saturday. Heavy pressure rom the 2 other tournaments going on made it tough or most. For 30 anglers the average was about 2 ish each. Water Temp: 66-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Our club tournament was held here Sat. May 19. LImits could be had rippin, spli-shotting, and some on top water. The best technique was workin your avorite plastic in the trees. Jigs and 6 inch Roboworms worked well hopped or shaken. There are several nice bass cruising around in the back o coves; I had two hang out under my boat and ollowing me around like a dolphins. These ish are near impossible to get to bite. The water is very clear and the bottom can be seen in 20 eet. In the aternoon when the skiers churn up the lake, or the wind blows, the mud lines hold aggressive keepers that can be cranked but ew o quality size.
City: BelmontTips: Get in very early or some topwater and out early to avoid the ski boat circus at the ramp.

Water Temp: ?????
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I'm being honest, this is my irst trip in 10 years. I'm mostly a delta rat, Lake Amador has always been my avorite lake since my childhood. Now that I have my own boat I plan on making more trips up here. I started out getting amilar with the lake by ishing the major points. It was pretty windy today. So I took my custom Valco bass boat to the calmer side o the lake. I started by using 6" and 8" worms but no bites. I tried spinnerbaits several times. I had ollowers but no hook ups. I had know bites with my crank baits, except with a Rat-L-Trap late in the evening, but I missed the set. I tried Brass&Glass with 4" and 5" worms but no bites. I did have some ollowers to the boat. I did not even bother picking up my poles that had 17 and 20 lb. lines. Last resort I switched to my spinning rod and started split shotting a 4" magic worm. It was red in color, with small red lake, and a dark blood line down the center. I observed some local bassers working submerged trees. I decided to do the same in between points. My mother was with me ly ishing in a laot tube. She is a regular out there. We kept radios to keep in contact with each other. She told me to keep an eye on the white bass boat with the blue trim. She said he's a regular. Any ways the split shotting paid o or me. I worked down to about 20 t. and caught several bass rom 10" to 15". When it started to get dark I tried top water. I tried zara spooks, buzzbaits, chugbugs, and spit-n-images. I got no bites rom a bass. On the spit-n-image I did catch a strange looking ish. It wasn't a bass or a trout. It had a body o a trout. The color o the body looked like a walleye. I wonder i it was a giant oversize chub minnow. It was an exciting, awesome, and an educational experience. I'm not use to seeing this kind o water clarity. I'd like to plan uture trips. To make the cost o ishing up there worth while I'm asking anybody with tips, patterns, suggestions on what to use and where to ish at Lake Amador. Please email me at bassbuster11@hotmail.com Thanks, Micheal Dowling "Bass Buster"

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Arrived at the lake at about 2:30 and spent about 4 hours here but had only one bite each. Lots o water skiers and jet skiers on the water (one o which loated up to borrow my pliers to ix his ground wire) There were 3 guys about 10 yards away who brought in about 4 trout since they were there and said they were using the same bait as us. Oh well... We'll try again in a couple o weeks.
City: San JoseTips: Always carry a pair o pliers. Especially i you'r a jet skier.
