Amador Lake

Water Temp: 73
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fish with a riend late yesterday aternoon and at night. Had an even better trip, numbers-wise, than a trip two weeks ago. We landed 12 bass with the ive largest going 22 1/4 lbs. The two biggest were 6-3 amd 6-6. We really ished all over the lake and really couldn't ind a hotspot. The ish were active (or Amador) most o the time, though it still was a long time between bites. We only caught 1 topwater bass - a 2 3/4 on a super spook. Got a ew beore dark on Weapon jigs near steep banks. The two big bass came on a jig and a 10" black/chartreuse Power Worm. I also caught a 12+ pound catish on a black/blue 10" Power Worm. That was a thrill or awhile!! The ish seemed to be a bit more shallow than last trip, in act, the 6-6 was caught in 3 eet o water. Lots o small bass biting o the tails o Yamamoto grubs, instead o taking the whole jig. Overall, a very nice trip - even without a monster bass hooked!
City: Yuba CityTips: Lake is dropping some, but not too ast. Weeds should not be a problem or too much longer. Alternate between worms and jigs to see what the bass really want. Jigs should be better as the water cools!!

City: san joseTips: didnt mean to sound angry there. try poppers on a slow retrieve if you dont pick up any on the buzz action.

Report: Went out of the Break late, about 9AM. Picked off the first fish (2.3 lbs) on a spinnerbait near the launch ramp while waiting for my non-boater. Wow this is going to be a great day, a 2 lber on the third cast! Wrong, turned out to be a slow day. Ran to Dutch and into the sloughs. Nothing. Back out to current, picked of tow more and missed a couple of bites. Largest fo the day went 3.9 lbs. Ended the day with three keepers for 8 lbs total. Slow bite. Most hits on worms in current. nothing on crankbaits, smaller fish on spinnerbaits (except for the first fish).
City: San RamonTips: Toss worms in the current near tulie and weeds.

Water Temp: warm
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched after Redman blastoff out of the Hook. No fish in the barge cove for me, ran to Frank's, four 0.5-1 lbers on rattletrap, nothing pitching brush hog. Couple small stripers as well. Ran to Middle river, four hits, two fish, 0.5 and 2.5 lbs on Norman Little N in red. No fish pitching black/blue jig in pockets. Tourney boat came in, so I let them have the water, and moved to Mildred. Caught several from 1-2.5 lbs, fish were scattered along weedlines, used red Normans crankbait. Switched over to rattletrap, caught several smaller bass and another small striper. Tried for big stripers where I had hit them during the weekday - no bites, fair amount of boat traffic, may have put them down. Fished channels outside Mildred with cranks, no luck. Ran to area in Whiskey that holds some fish, cranked biggest fish of day, maybe 3 lbs, lost couple smaller ones. Decided to run down to Coney to an area that has generated jig fish for me in the past, one small bass, switched to rattletrap, pitching it along floating docks, two fish, 1 and 2.5 lbs. So, had a limit by 2:00 of maybe 10 lbs total - not that good, but consistent action made for fun. Decided to keep fishing, ran back to Mildred and hit a good stretch of shoreline that gave up a several 1 - 2 lb fish on rattletrap as well as another small striper. Noticed that area where big stripers had held was free of boats, so ran over there to try stripers again. Missed two good fish, landed a small one of about 5-6 lbs. Decided to finish out at Franks, caught several small fish from0.5 to maybe 2 lbs. Fish were real fat, looked to be feeding well. All told, maybe 20 or so blackies and 5 or 6 stripers for a long day, but still had fun and found another new area with fish. Good luck to all. Rob T.

Water Temp: 70
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Made a last minute decision to head down and do some night ishing on Monday. Only had a hal hour o daylight when I got on the water or one blow up on a buzz bait. Took a break at the campground and headed out around 9. Wind was blowing lightly but there was enough chop to toss my little boat around. Finally got behind Rattlesnake and ished out o the wind or about an hour landing three ish rom 4.0-5.2lbs. The wind soon dimininshed and I moved around to the ront o the island and started ishing some rockpiles. I landed six more bass rom 2.5-7.8lbs and a 2.4lb crappie! The big bass slammed a crankbait in 10' ater I was hung up or a minute and popped it ree. It was one o those ish that jumps and you think its ten or sure, but then you lip it and its all head. The bite died at 1am but I stayed out until 3 just in case.
City: ArcataTips: Fish came on a bit o everything 10" power worms, 6" zipper, big spinnerbaits and crankbaits. Pick a ew good areas and rotate around them sooner or later they will move up.

Lar rys right. the water is gin clear, although I did run through some o that thick green stu that gets all over your boat that the lake is amous or. Largest ish was over 6 (sumo rog early), best 5 maybe 22-26 lbs. Don't think it will last until the end o the month, so this week I'll try Cooch's method and see i it holds.
City: MilpitasTips: Try tha rog, and remain conident. The bites although slow may surprise you.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 68-70
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: First light topwater was decent with about 8 strikes with 2 keepers landing in the net. Tried to rip a ish, but no go. Mojo rigged a senko and caught the third keeper. Not much to report once the sun was up and on the water strong. Might suggest looking or ish blowing up on the shad schools that are beginning to orm. Found three big pods o shad with ish busting them, but the ish were small.
City: RosevilleTips: Fish are suspended chasing bait, look to more o shore stu in the coming weeks until the lake rolls over. Surace ishing should be good until late November.

Millerton Lake
-
Water Temp: 70's
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Just under Millerton on the San Joaquin River, I caugt a two ive pound bass one about 19 inches and the other about 18 inches. I caugt one on crank bait and one on spinner bait.
City: FresnoTips: Fall is here and the leaves are changing rom a green to a golden, orange, brown color. The water temperature is cooling and is at a stedy degree. Best bet to catch bass is to use a colorul cranck bait such as an bright orange green combo. Popper's at night work well. I would suggest an all white popper. Hint;don't ish the popper to ast. Pop it and allow it to sit then proceed. Bass love to hide in drop os and under lilly pads or in weeds.
