NO TOPWATER, NO JIG, AND NO SENCO. MOST FISH CAME ON BLADES AND A COUPLE ON THE TRAP. WE FISHED WAY DOWN SOUTH. THANK GOODNESS THE 6 HOUR TOURNAMENTS ARE OVER. THAT DOESN'T GIVE YOU ANY TIME TO FISH, ESPECIALLY IF THERE IS NO MORNING BITE, WITH STRANGE TIDES.

Everything suspended last night in 8-12 eet o water, sur wish I knew how to get them biting when they suspend!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished late afternoon on Saturday hoping for a topwater bite. Launched out of Cappel and ran up near Berryessa marina fishing the exposed humps. First and fourth casts produced two nice smallies to 2lbs each on topwater. Worked the humps with 4in grubs taking two more fish. Worked our way down around big island and found the large mouths to be feeding on the surface where we landed two, 3lb and 4lb, bucket mouths on a zara spook. All in all not a bad outing for a couple of hours. Went up to Putah creek and found it full with a heard of ski boats blasting through the 5 mile zone!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Paradise Point before light, fished buzzbait around the rocks and weeds in the immediate area, 2-1pound caught, 2 nicer fish (2+) hit but came off. The air temp was cooler than it has been, and the buzzbait bite was the worst I've had in months. Switched to Senko about 8am and caught 1 about 1.5lb, no other takers. Finished up on a Zoom speed worm, caught 2 in about 5 minutes 1lbs each (black w/red flake). Had to leave for wife's birthday off at 10am, or would have fished the speed worm more. tight lines and sore lippin thumbs.
      City: san jose

Tips: Don't know really, usual plan B's didn't seem to work for me (crankbait, Senko). Lots of mats, but I left too early. Anyone do any good in the north on frogs this weekend? More consistent cooler weather may help, fluctuations can cause severe frustration.

      Water Temp: 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Took the new Triton to the Delta today. Had quite a few smaller fish on Red rattletraps, also on ReAction lures Gatordogs in the Peanutbutter and Jelly Pattern. Partner caught big fish of the day, a 4-12, on a Reaction lures Gatortube in watermelon/red flake. We fished weedlines with deepwater and flats near deep water. Still no decent numbers of quality fish.
      City: Marysville

Tips: Throw a rattletrap all day and you will get some fish. Plastics working better than jigs.
