    • Water Temp: 60-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I guided a father/son team on Wed and Thurs - day trips. They brough their own equipment and struggled some with fishing line, etc. We had to go into Cache Creek in the first morning because I won't take clients into water that is too rough. They did have some action - Dad caught a 4 and 2 3/4 pounder. They missed several bites. We were able to get on the main lake about 1 pm for a few more hours. We caught a few more up to 5 lbs on rock walls and ended with a fair limit of 17-18 lbs. Thurs was a gorgeous day and bass boats appeared like Clear Lake gnats! They were whizzing everywhere! I spent a lot of time showing my clients highlights of structure fishing in the south end. We caught 4 or 5 up to 5 1/2 lbs - again missing a few bites. Found some on wood dock pilings.

Tips: Not much new to say - no bait was hot. We caught bass on every type of plastic lure and a few on jigs.

    • Water Temp: 60-63

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I guided another client Friday from 11 to 7 pm and found that bite to be quite good after 4 pm. This was a first bass fishing trip for the client and soon could call themself a pro! The bite was slow in the afternoon - with very clear water - but got better a more shadows became available. As Tom reported in his previous report, the overall fish size was smaller this week. I felt the bite was a bit slower too, but we did catch more than we could keep track of!

Tips: Again, the Robo morning dawn without chartreuse tail is what the bass wanted. I did try topwater again - and this time was 2 for 3! They were only 14 inches however. Lots of 11 to 13 inch bass and only 2 over the slot.

    • Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Caught 10 fish in Sycamore Slough but nothing over 2.5 lbs. Senkos with some form of red caught all fish except for one on a crankbait. Blades, topwater, chatter baits, and numerous cranks did not get bit. Action was very slow early but turned on near high tide. Saw several large bass cruising but could not interest them in any offerings. Any suggestions?
      City: Stockton

Tips: Great day to be out – sunny with clouds and a slight breeze.

    • Water Temp: 60-66

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Franks Tract,South end very muddy from wind
      No big ones,just 2-3lb range.used Senkos,Rodents.
Late in the Day did see several big Females up in the water column just sunning,I didn't have the expertise to trigger any strikes though.

Report: Dog, In looking at past input from forum members it looks like you have only offered criticism. Not one report. That makes you an A-Hole. As for your ADHD issue you can get help for that.
Unfortunately you are born and raised an A-Hole.
You can't get rid of that one.

    • Water Temp: 58 - 60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Thursday, 4/18/13, because of the strong North wind in the morning, my buddy and I starting fishing in protected areas on the west side. After the wind subsided somewhat in the afternoon, we moved to the east side. The water temperature on both sides was between 58 and 60º. This is essentially no change from what I reported 3 weeks ago. Jigs, Senkos, Roboworms and swim baits were tried but essentially all fish were caught drop-shotting 4 and 6 inch Roboworms. Of the 17 fish we caught, more than half were caught on the West side. Two thirds of the fish were small mouth bass. Most fish were caught in 5 -10 feet of water. Our largest was a 4 lb 7 oz large mouth with the best five weighing 12 lbs 7 oz.
      City: Pinole

Tips: Because of the wind, it was hard to see any bedding fish. The recent cold weather stopped the water temperature from warming up and the fish appeared to have backed off and are not spawning yet. With the full moon coming and much warmer weather, they should be moving in to spawn.

Just got back from vacationing in Miami and couldn't wait to get on the lake. Saturday I went out and noticed that the bass are coming into the shallower water for bedding. The water was clear and wearing my "Hobie" polarized sunglasses I was able to see the activity of the bass. Paul is holding a nice size bass (see photo). Albert and I are holding the largest bass we landed (see photo). It seems that using a sanko worm watermelon color in "wacky" style was getting the best results. Where the water was clear you could see ten feet down and see fish. Other areas were murky possibly because of bedding fish. Full moon should be the 25th of the month so five days prior and five days after should be excellent days to fish. 'til next week.................................................................good fishing!!!

    • Water Temp: 61-64

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Opening day. 12 boats lined up to launch at 8:00am. Ranger requires boats have: air horn, fire extinguisher and float cushion. Fished senkos all day, not a bite. Got very windy in the afternoon.

    • Water Temp: high 50s

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: i fished from the bank on the south side of the main body. Fished from 1pm to 5pm and ended up with 18 bass. Water was very clear it seams like for Shasta. With a good set of polarized glasses i could see 15+ feet of water. i caught fish in both shallow coves and 30+ feet of water. most of the action was in deeper coves with steep banks and cover like trees and bushes or steep ledges but the fish were smaller. I got the bigger ones off the points but not as many. The weather started out sunny but ended cloudy and windy but didnt seam to change the bite. i was fishing a Carolina rigged 4 inch brown with black and red flake Zoom rubber worm with a brass bullet weight and red glass bead. With the limited time i got to fish because of walking it felt like every cast was a bite.
      City: Redding

Tips: With 50+ bass landed from the bank within a few weeks and hitting everything i could throw at them i say fish your favorite set up and have fun!.
