California Delta

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished every bait but the one that worked and went everywhere but where the fish were. Fished from 7 to 3 and only got 1 bite.
City: tracy -
Water Temp: 51
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Angler's Choice Delta Region Sunday. Bite was tough, only took 16+ for 5 fish to win. High presure and cooling water temp seems to have slowed the bite conciderably. We had only 3 fish/6.8#s for the day, 2 flipping and 1 on a Speed Trap. We fished a couple of sloughs with depths from 2-15 feet. All our fish came from 3-7 feet of water. The flip fish came off of transition zones from weed flats to deeper tulie banks. Crank fish came off a weed flat. All three fish and out other bites came on downsized baits. 1/8 ounce Speed Trap and a 4 inch grub.
City: BrentwoodTips: Bite seems to vary day to day. Friday was great and by Sunday it was fairly slow. When high presure moves in after a front be sure to downsize your offerings.

Clear Lake
-
Water Temp: 47-50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

City: Rohnert ParkTips: Look or the clearer water. Stick with reaction baits, cranks down to 10-15'around docks or get some minnows and go deep.

Split-shottin' brown/ire tail reapers in about 35-40 eet took3 ish (2.25, 2.5, and a 3.25 pig). Also had many more bites, but couldn't get them set.

Water Temp: 51-52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I ished a Gold Country Bassers tournament Sat. and I came in 5th and Rodney Scott my partner came in 4th. I stayed up the South Fork all day I got two keewpers on a 1/2oz. willowlea spinner bait one blade chartreuse and the other white and caught 2 keepers. Rodney threw a rip bait and got one ish on a clown roauge. I moved arther back in the South Fork and we ished an area with a lat and a rock wall but just ished the rock wall that was 12 t. I kept the boat in 10-6t o water and we pulled 11 keepers o o it but no big ish. The big ish o the tournament was a 5.67lbs caught on a peach ace ristorap. We were the only boat to bring in two limits and also got best combined boat weight.
City: Marysville, CaTips: Our worms were 4" moorning dawn but, the bites came quicker when you bit it down to 3". Rodney used a blueghost and we both caught the same amount o keepers. Work the worm slow 1/8th oz. darter head and sharpen the hooks beore you put them in your tackle box and it saves you time and you know all o your hooks have been sharpened. Bounce crankbaits o o rocks.

Water Temp: 51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The water has slightly cleared up since last week, but the bite was a little tough. I fished from 12-4:30 and managed to catch 3....a 3.5lber on a white/chart spinnerbait w/ white colorado blade, a 2 1/4lber on a purple Rodstrainer Jig, and a 2lber on a Zipper. I also missed one on the Zipper, and one on the Jig. I talked to another guy who had 5, and he said his friend had 15....not sure if I believe that though!!
City: San MateoTips: Reel your spinnerbait just fast enough to keep the blade turning, while the bait is making bottom contact w/ rocks. Try white or chartreuse Colorado blades in the murky water.

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started o at Yorty throwing cranks at the bank, that did'nt work. So I put on a aithul grub and BAM! A atty 1 pounder. trew it again and a large and in charge 11 incher smacked my grub. Then i decided to catch a blue gill so I tied on my good ol' mini tube jig and BAM! almost pulled the rod out o my hands, it was a 3 inch bluey. then i ended the day throwing my aithul grub and nailed a 10 incher, I ought that ish or a good 4 seconds.
City: PetalumaTips: Anyone know why the bass in yorty creek are so small, and a lot o the rest o the lake. Each year you catch the same size bass, sure there'll be a decent ish here and there, but there all in that 10, 11,12, 13 inch range???

Clear Lake

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Wow what a day!! The wind was howling and the rain was pouring. There were 3-4 t swells out there. Isn't it unny, you couldn't pay me $100 to go into my own backyard and work on a rainy day. But when it comes to ishing... well that's just dierent. The ishing was just as tough as the weather. We managed two ish, one on a jig and the other on a worm. Both caught about 8t., one in stained and one in clear water. The interesting thing about Clear Lake is one part o the lake can be semi-calm while another part can seem like the Paciic Ocean and getting to calm waters can be a rough ride.
City: WindsorTips: I've had some o the best ishing in rain. But when it's raining and windy, you might want to do what the Bass are doing... just stay hunkered somewhere comortable.

Report: Fished Franks Tract today, throwing Tora Tubes (white) to boils of Striped Bass. Landed over a dozen 5lb to 7lb range. To many shakers to remember, though I was starting to get tired of them by 1:00pm. Best day in a long time at Franks.
City: SacramentoTips: Watch for the birds and surface disturbance, this indicates Striper feeding activity. Use your electric motor to approach slowly (fish very spooky on sunny days). White Plastics seem to work the best this time of year. Light line and a good drag a MUST!!!! (contact me for more info.)
