Report: Fished rom 3:00PM to 8:30PM; we caught 40-50 10"-13" bass. 4 or 5 o the bass were Smallmouth the rest were Spots. The hot bait was a our inch plastic worm rigged Carolina style. We caught the ish by dragging the worm slowly in 15t o water. At about 7:00PM we started catching a ew on top-water baits. For top-water a Pop-R was the best one.

Report: ished this lake or 6 hours beore catching 3.14 pounder. the reason I wasn't catching any ish was because Ididn't realize they were still spawning.the 3 pounder I landed still had eggs in its belly. I caught it on a purplebrush hog(made by zoom).
      City: San Raael

Tips: as I said the brush hog works really well in lakes with lizards a round them or ones with caliornia newts.

Report: Went to Folsom or a relaxing evening o bass ishing. Caught l2 ish total on plastics 20 t deep. But relaxing it wasn't...Can't we do something to split the lake between ishers and skiers. ie, South Arm or one North or the other. A good example o this is Lake Castaic in So. Cali. Fisherman could ish ski area but skiers cannot ski in ishing area. Just a suggestion because it is a zoo outthere.
      City: Cameron Park

Tips: Fish plastics 20 t deep around willows and don't let the skiers get you.

Report: Decided to take a day o mid-week to wet the lines with buddies Ray and Dave. Stopped at Tackle Pro and picked up 4 dozen minnows as Dave and Ray wanted to use the live stu (hey, can't beat the presentation!). The water level is our eet rom maximum pool. The new launch ramp at Granite Bay is open and sure helps with the traic. Hit the water at8:30am and headed over to the peninsula. Ray and David threw out the minnows and I started searching with a Rat-L-Trap (red craw). No hits on the minnows but I hooked up a 3/4 lb largemouth. Ater an hour o nothing we moved to Beals and started hooking up immediately. Pulled out 7 ish to 1.5 lb. Shaking a 3" green-craw reaper over submerged trees got most o 'em. Lot o smallies. Ater it died down went over to Jacks Shack and hooked into ten more, mostly largemouths, with a couple spots. Split shotting (4" magic worms)and shaking worked the best; colors were green-craw, oxy-craw, green weenie. All in all, a pretty good day.
      City: Granite Bay

Tips: Water is clear so smaller lures in natural colors (browns, greens, etc.) tend to get more hits. Also, ishing belowthe light penetration depth (about 12 eet) increases chances o hook-ups.

Tips: Tips: Maybe a boat might help. I fished from shore.

Report: Went out today from 9:30 till about 5. In the morning the tide was about half out and there was a decent blade bite around grass clumps near harder cover such as wood and pipes. Slow rolling...I mean SLOW seemed to be the ticket then. When the tide got real scratched out bites by flippin isolated grass clumps that were near large grass beds. Multiple flips convinced the fish to bite a jig/claw. most flip fish came after 5 flips to the same spot. One took 12. When the tide started coming back in the bite turned on pretty good. I could only get bites on a jig. No bites on a zipper but plenty on the jig/grub. Pitchin' seemed ro take the better fish. Those litte dinks sure can rip your Yamamoto grubs up real quik! Had about 25 fish on but lost about 5 and missed some bites. Also had one snap my 25 lb Big Game..that left me stunned. All and all it was a decent day...best five would have pushed 18 lbs. Most of the better fish came at low tide, and most bites came after 2.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Tips: At low tide make lots of flips to cover.
