Report: Got a late start...went with a buddy out of Big Break and were on the water around noonish. It was perfect when we started, then the wind picked up to about 15 knots around 1:30...and never died. I fished Flukes and Z-shads all day, landed 10 (not much size). My partner caught 6, one on a pig-n-jig, 2 on a buzzbait, and the rest on flukes. Biggest fish of the day went only 2.5 lbs. Although we both got burnt to a crisp from the sun and wind, it was still a good time.

      Water Temp: mid 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went out in my patched-up kickboat on Monday (it blew up at the Coyote Bait & Tackletourney on May 8th -- those Outcastolks can do *miracles* in repairing blown pontoons!). It was a little breezy, so I let the windpush me down a ways toward thewestern end. Fortunately, when I decided to head back upwind, it calmed down considerably, so I wasable to get back without toomuch o a struggle. The only ish I caught were on a split-shot 4" worm & a Texas-rigged Zoom BabyBrush Hog. I only caught ahal a dozen bass, & two o those shook o beore I got 'em to the boat -- I got 'em to within 10eet o me, though! None wereover a pound & a hal. I caught most o 'em o bare banks, but the two I lost came out o whatlittle shoreline cover I could ind. Icasted a crankbait a coupla dozen times, but to no avail. I threw a spinnerbait some, too, but noluck there, either. Post-spawnblues? I don't know or sure; maybe better days ahead. I *know* there're plenty o ish to be hadhere, & they're gettin' a littleBIGGER, too! We'll get 'em next time!

      Water Temp: 69-70

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished on Sunday, May 30. Despite more boats and PWC's on the water than I could have imagined, we landed 19 bass three bluegill. Largest bass was maybe 14". Most were caught on 4" S&P ringworm. Did get a good rip bite at dark. Despite the fact that there were boats in every cove (non-fisherman)we had a good day. After seeing the full moon, wished we had stayed home during the day and fished all night.
      City: Concord

Tips: Tips: We noticed the fish were concentrated at the 10-12 foot range. Possibly due to the clear water/boat traffic. In the evening the fish got more aggressive and wanted movement, that's when we switched to rip baits.
