Water Temp: 52-56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Haven't seed any reports on here for a couple weeks. I'm guessing no news is bad news, launched out of orwood 6:30am back by 11:30am. Fished crank baits and spinner baits early no luck. Fished jigs 1/2 oz and 3/8 oz jigs in all different colors no luck. Wind started to pick up went back to crank bait, caught a under sized striper. Switched to watermelon red flake senko 20 ft away from the bank, got two right away then that pattern died. Wind started howling so I headed back in catching one more on a spinnerbait at the boat ramp.
City: LivermoreTips: White spinner baits. Red for all other baits.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at enterprise boat launch. First time of the season for fishing and for the eagle(my boat). It was me jitterbug and sarge. Just a normal lack luster day. Got rained on for a bit but it opened up to give us couple more hours or fishing. Jitterbug caught more than his usual share, probably cause he was using some of my tackle (pink robo worm). Sarge stuck to his guns and tackle, had 3 fish on but none in the boat. I caught around 8 spots big one was 15 1/4", in last chance cove right before dusk. Not a bad 1st run.

Report: Launched Jones Valley. Graphed fish in the Jones Valley Inlet and way up the Pit arm. Not much found elsewhere. Wife and I caught 9 trout trolling 5-15 feet using Shasta Tackle UV flashers and home-made silver lures (shaped like hum-dingers). Afternoon we went into coves and pulled in 5 spots all around 1 1/5 lbs using green brush hogs (Carolina rigged) and dragging them across bottom real slow. Not a real productive day but fun none the less.

Berryessa Lake

Water Temp: 52 to 56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went out Saturday with Albert and John expecting a great day of fishing. The water was like glass, no wind to speak of and unfortunately no signs of fish. We had a tough day although we ran into a few people who fished in 30 to 50 feet of water and had success landing some nice bass (see photos). We stuck mostly to trolling in shallower water without much luck. This coming week if the signs are the same I will fish with my PK spoons and drop shot in deeper water. Mike from Bait Barn told me that was the method used by the Pro Am winner this past weekend. As the water gets warmer the fishing will get better and better and by the full moon in April the female bass will start going on their beds. 'til next week..................................................................................................good fishing!!!!

Water Temp: 54-58F
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Retired from Pinole and myself hit the water at about 9am and got off at 5:30pm. Between the two of us landed 29 bass, most coming in 5 to 15ft, drop shoting Roboworms in coves and main body points on the lake. Fish were fat and were spitting up bait fish. Couldn't of had a more pleasant day, not to hot, not to cold, great way the to start the 2013 season!
City: FremontTips: Slow pattern, allot on dead sticking with a little jiggle every now and then.

Water Temp: 54-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Tiger and I went out to enjoy the beautiful weather and try and get out first 2013 bass. He got a 3.0 fat bellied spot around 9:15 about 18' of water, then he got a 2.7 on a senko an hour later shallower. Then a 2.5 smallie a couple hours later, then I got a 2.7 smallie an hour later, then he got another 1.7 smb, and a dink after that. Never cought more than one fish off a spot. Most fish caught on dropshot. Baits that did not work. Jerk Bait, SpeedTrap, Texas rig, Jig, A-Rig (tried a new 3 arm version for about 2 hours total). the few fish that we did get were very hard fighting fun fish.
City: PacificaTips: No real tips - found no real pattern. Beautiful day on the water nearly 70 and no wind (except in the creeks)

Water Temp: 50-51
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Antlers around 9:30 am saturday morning. Still wood on the Ramp but not as bad as last time. Fished points and coves , while watching bass chase trout. Got 21 Spots first seven where dinks. Then moved to fish chunk rock and found better sized fish , but no trophies. Got one Spot 17" Just shy of 3 pounds. Another one went 15" and about 7 more between 12 and 14 inches. Again nothing big but was a nice day on the water , very little wind and catching bass in winter is great since the water in my state is around 41 degrees and its difficult to get bass to bite here. I love shasta lake for this early season cold water bassin. GOt off the water about 5 pm. Was sad to go back home , could have used one more day on the water. See you again soon sac arm. I miss you already haha.
City: K-FallsTips: Fish on the bottom for numbers , and throw swims , chatterbaits , ripbaits on windblown points if you get wind. We didnt get much yesterday.

Pardee Lake
-
Water Temp: 50-52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I fished beautiful Lake Pardee yesterday with my buddy Mike Sperbeck. We started about 10 am, and was again shocked by the water clarity. I expected this with the lack of rain. We started in the main body with no success, then moved up the river. About 12:30 pm - our first bite and Mike puts a mighty 10 incher in the boat! Boy - that was worth a 2 hr drive!! Well, my attitude changed very quickly as I immediately set on a good fish with my brown/orange Blade Runner jig w/Yamamoto #180 grub trailer. She jumped and Mike yells "there is your 5 lb smallie!" Some of you know I am still trying to land one over 5 - I keep losing them. Again, this one was close at 4 lb 7 oz. A thrill anyway! The bite picked up - after Mike's second 10 incher! He did have last laugh when he landed a 5 1/2 lb largemouth later in the afternoon. Back out in the main body - after thinking about it for awhile, I decided to throw a 6" Basstrix swimbait. One feels like a genius when one catches a 4 lb 2 oz smallie on the first cast of his current thinking. She ate the swimbait! But no more hits on it. We ended the days with 6 bass for Mike and 3 for me with our best 5 around 18 1/2 to 19 lbs. No toads but very successful day.
City: Yuba CityTips: We caught bass both on the bank and off-shore structure - from 10 to 30 feet deep. Mike had several swimbait hits too but only landed one. Fishing might have been better in the late afternoon but the lake went dead-flat calm! That is rare for Pardee. Fishing will probably be pretty good everywhere for a few of these warm days, but weather may change next week and possibly move them off the bank again.
