      Water Temp: 65-72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the WON Sunday with Dana. She spanked me with that brown Jig-n-grub all day long. It did seem that either most of the fish had been removed from the visable beds due to the BASS or they had backed off. Not near as many fish setting up like the three days of the BASS tournament. Most fish were caught real tight to a rock levee bank with grass flats to about 4 feet of water. We found spent fish in the backs of shallow flats and fat staging fish in the transition areas, these were the better fish for us that day
      City: Oakley

Tips: Tips: Stay shallow and toss something that imitates a blue gill or bream in browns and green colors. Heavy test line, tight drag and fish slow.

      Water Temp: 57

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of capel cove about 8am. First spot was dead. Threw rip baits and weenies. Second spot was hot. Caught four fish, two on medium crank baits, two on weenies. My girlfriend lost a nice fish in submerged wood on a crank bait. Actually saw the fish shake'n the crank bait after she broke off. However the crankbait came floating up, saved $4.00 lure. Anyway she caught one off a submerged bush with a shallow diving crankbait went 3lbs. Then, the biggest fish was caught by my 9 yr old daughter, it was 100 lbs. She fell on her crankbait and got the hook stuck in her hand. Had to leave early. We caught total of 9 fish in four hours. Not a bad day., considering.
      City: Fairfield

Tips: Tips: Don't go directly into the coves, fish outide edges and creek channel going in. I saw a fish in 7 foot of water. I'm guessing went 15 lbs, huge fish, but I spooked it with the boat. A lesson learned!

      Water Temp: 64 and up

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Water muddied up and I sucked big time. Only caught six in 6 hours. Most on spinners, a couple on floating worms. All in the 1 - 1.5 lbs range. Caught one with DF&G tag. Was both depressed and inspired that over 300 fish were brought in by the BASS tournament that day. So far, the closest I've come to seeing a live fish over 12 lbs. Holy Cow!

      Water Temp: 68 at 6am

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just a short note to let everyone know when you find a buck staged up and prepairing or sitting on a bed, in my past 7 days on ther water every buck I found I would have 2 big females back out a little deeper or actually on the outside of the weedline waiting for the male to come out and signal the nest is ready. I mainly used worms and a few gitzits to catch these fish on an average most fish were 5 to 8 lbs........Micster
      City: Tracy

Tips: Tips: green worms...smoke gitzits.....work very methodical and or slowly when a fish hits you will usually feel them tearing out for deeper water its not the usual thump thump, the smaller fish seem to thump it, with the bigger ones you would feel a little tick tick kinda like a blue gill then all h*$% would break loose.......have fun!!

Report: Fishing was spectacular today. Weather was perfect, fish cooperative. Launched about 8am from Capell Cove. First honey hole had no bites. Threw rip baits and weenies. Second spot we caught 4 fish and lost two. They were all young males, prespawn. My girlfriend pick two off submerge trees on a shallow crankbait. Caught a few off a medium crank baits and a few off weenies. Had to get off the lake early because my daughter fell on her crankbait and got the hook stuck in her hand. Left about 12 o'clock. But as she put it, we had 6 fish and 3 that got away, and she caught one about 100 lbs, (herself).

Tips: Tips: Water and air temp. are getting warm look deep in the coves, also before you go into the cove throw deep baits or worms in the mouth on shelf of the cove, before spooking the deeper fish. then go for easier fish. Don't get the spawners. Practice "Catch & Release".
