Report: i got there at about 6 in the mornig and started hitting the bass busting the shad again, i got 4 strikes on a rapala skitter pop but missed them then caught 3 on a 4'' #301 senko. about 10 minutes ater i saw the last ish bust i started lipping 6'' #901 senkos under some trees when i heard a huge gulp behind me, turned around and saw a massive boil lipped it out there and ended up with a at 6# largie. ater that i caught some small ish on a riverside dropshot worm dropshotting ight next to some trees that ell over and right when i had the boat all loaded on the trailer i saw the BIGGEST school o baitish (in that little cove right next to the launch ramp) i have ever seen in a reservoir. so i started throwing a texas rigged silver twister tail worm and ended up breaking o 2 nice bass with my 8# test and landing 4 rom 3-5#s. now that was sssssssoooooooooooo close to the dock i couldnt believe it, but it was a GGRREEAATT day!
City: icallithomeTips: dinitely throw some senkos to the bass hitting shad and ish around the weeds. no luck dropshotting deep water

Report: Launched at 8pm, started ishing a main point with top waters, no takers. Switched over to a 8" black w/chart. tail power lizard, and my partner( Eric ) was using junebug brushhog. We continued down the side o the point a ways, irst ish on the lizard was our best o the night, an 8.8 attie. We kept on going down the side o this point, Eric got 3 1-2#ers, then he sets on a good one that went 6.8#. I got one more small one near there. We moved around a bit ater that and got a couple more 1-2#ers. Around 3am we moved back to that irst point, I took a nap, partner ishes the same area where the 8.8 came rom, and sets on another good one, I jump up to net it, another 6.8#er. Erics pretty jazzed these are his two biggest bass ever. I go back to sleep, he continues down the bank getting 1 more 2#er. Around irst light, he naps, I ish. In the same area where the irst 6.8 came rom, I set on a another good one, and it goes 6.7#s, this time with a 10" black power worm. Ater sun up, we got a couple more each 1-2#ers, and one dink on a senko. What an awesome night best 5 over 30#s...we'll be back!
City: san joseTips: The two areas we got our big ish were the steeper banks between secondary points. We got exactly 1 ish on the tip o a point, all others were between points. Use lots o smelly jelly on big, bulky plastics ished very slowly....worked or us. Smaller ish were up shallow, the bigger ones were outside the weeds.

Report: Fished Gold Country Bassers tournament today. Having never been to Amador beore, I just headed or a good looking bank that would have shade or a while. Picked up two keepers quick on a Rico and my partner Doug caught a 3.3 on a popper o some kind. This dried up, so we headed to a creek arm where he cranked 3, but only one big enough. No more luck here, so we went back to our original band and caught 4 more keepers on senkos. @9am, we ound a bank that still had shade on it where we put 2 more 13.5" ish in the boat quick. We both had a limit by 9:15, so I decided to do what Larry Hemphill had suggested; throw the senko deeper in search o larger ish. A coupla minutes later, I went to check my lures progress and I elt a mushy sensation......then my rod tip started pulsing. I set and knew it was a good one. It jumped and surged, but Doug inally got the net under the 5.75 lb ish. Cool, i we can get a ew more, we'll be in business. I never caught, correction, we never caught another ish ater 9:30 am on this day. I cranked a 2 lb catish @ 1:30 and Doug thought he had me beat at 2:45 when he set into a 7 lb catish!-----Whew!, that was close. 14 anglers ished, 6 blanked. I had 13.33 lbs or irst, Doug had 8.6 or second.
City: Yuba CityTips: All I can say is thank god we got them when they were biting. I dont have a clue as to what I could have done ater they quit to catch any more.

Water Temp: 71-72
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out with a buddy on Monday or trout and bass. Landed about 10-11 cutbows. Biggest one went 9.04 lbs. Once it got dark we headed down jackson. Fished with speed worms, senkos, and magic worms. Landed about 6 bass. Heaviest going or about 4.5 lbs. Missed decent ish on Senkos.
City: davisTips: I've been out to the lake once a week or the past 4 weeks night ishing. It seems like we're getting ewer bights as the water temps rises and the lake water level drops. But the good thing about that is the bites that we are getting are coming rom larger bass. Only suggestion I have is ish with plastics tight to the bank. Darker colors seem to work better.

Report: While I goled my partner made the trip over the hill again. With a brand new "Ranger" in the garage he ished rom his old aluminum "Tracker". (Didn't want to get Ranger muddy going over the hill). Caught several ish up to 8 pounds but mostly deep on main points. No ish at all on beds. Hens caught still had eggs. My guess is that due to recent cool weather sexual activity will not take place until the next ull moon. Most small high lakes are in the same boat. Request: will the ellow in the Ranger that met us last weekend contact me. ( I am, "i it lies it dies and i it swims it rys" ).
City: WELLINGTON,NVTips: Go goling until the 27th. Then get out your white tubes and have at it

Water Temp: 56 ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the carson arm and main lake points on Friday night and Saturday morning. Started Friday night in Carson arm and within twenty minutes got my irst bite on a black and blue v.p.r. jig ater a good 5 minute ight I landed a 13.4 pound cat, a monster. Again started working Carson arm throwing a junebug colored zoom worm and within 30 minutes landed a 4.4 largemouth ollowed up by a 2.1 got on the water at about 5:30 and was o by 6:45 so not to bad or an hour and 15 minutes worth o ishing. I was to lazy to try or the night bite so I went back to camp and hung out. Got on the water the next morning at apx. 6:30a.m. and started throwing the same black and blue jig right o the bat I got a hit a 2.6 pounder headed toward the main lake and stopped by a point. Started throwin a blue and pearl colored strike king crainkbait within 5 casts I got hit by a 4.5 pounder landed him and putted around or about another hour and a hal got o the water at 8:30a.m. All in all a pretty good weekend had a good time camping with amily and got to do a little bassin. Fish were airly active I didn't spend to much time on the water but still caught ish. Fish deinately getting ready to spawn.I was showing 56 degrees but that seems a little warm. Fish were short and at. All were caught in about 10-20 eet o water.
City: carson city,NVTips: Waitng or the ish to start moving up, didn't spot any bed ish but they are waiting to get rid o their eggs.Couple more weeks o warm weather and amador should be on ire. Jigs and dark color dead ringers seemed to be the ticket or me.

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I ished Friday with a riend - starting at 5 PM. We looked around the lake and then started throwing worms and jigs in 10 to 50 eet o water. Between 6 and 6:30 I got two good hits on a black-blue Weapon jig I was using with a Zoom plastic chunk. One was a solid 3 1/2 pounder and the other was a slim 5 1/2 pounder. She did not look like a typical Amador bass - didn't have enough weight. Good strong ish, however. A small ront was moving in which dimmed the moon ater dark. We thought this was going to make or good ishin' since it was so warm. And then something happened that I have NEVER seen (or heard) at Amador, a lake that is usually sae rom weird wind events! We heard a loud roar rom the spillway direction, which was a wind line coming across the lake. When it hit, I had to look around and make sure I wasn't as Clear Lake. Someone told me that some strange things were happening in Sacramento that night. Anyway, it had something to do with a og bank that moved in. About two hours later, everything was back to normal. The ish started to bite a little and I caught 4 more, including a at 4 1/2 pounder - all on black/chartreuse Weapon jigs. So, I wound up with a 20 1/2 pound limit, and an extra 2 3/4 pounder. Three were caught shallow in the Mountain Spring area, and the other three were deep, in the main body. I could not get a worm bite. My riend did't catch any, but I didn't eel to bad or him - he usually catches the biggest!
City: Yuba CityTips: The bass are all over the map as ar as depth is concerned. Warm conditions will bring them up, and a cool down will move them deeper. Jigs always work well in the spring at Amador.

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I made a short trip with a riend Tuesday rom about 5:15 PM to 10:00 PM, when the og and cold just took all the un out o it - not that we were having that much un! I wanted to start just beore dark - the warmest part o the day. I'm glad we did! I was working a 1/2 oz Rodstrainer jig in about 40 eet o water in Jackson Creek when it just got heavy. Ater I set the hook, I still wasn't sure I had a ish, but I did - all 4 1/4 lbs o her. She elt like a block o ice and was underweight or an Amador bass. They probably havn't been eeding much lately. This was about 5:45 PM. My riend, as he usually does lately, got a nice bite on a Weapon Jig right at dark and set into a dandy. This one took a bit to bring in since it weighed 7 1/4 lbs! So, the trip was worth it, and it went downhill rom there. He got two more bites and missed them, and I landed my 6th ever Warmouth Bass on a Dead Ringer worm. It might have been 6 inches long, but still, a bite. I wish I had more good stu to say, but that was it!!
City: Yuba CityTips: We really didn't try too many ancy baits, just worms and jigs. No bites less than 20 eet deep.

Report: Well people, this is a hard one to write. Disaster struck. Kevin and I were all set to go and the weather was great. It looked to be a un illed day with good riends and good ishing. Then it happened. I was illed with excitment, ready to go. I backed up my chevy easing into the lake. I saw the bobbing o the boat, so I pulled out. Not having any idea that my partner put the trolling motor down( ya that was us). CRASH............. The trailer rips the motor rom the bow. That was horroriic. I know I needed a new one but damn. Anyway needless to say that we were ishermen that day. No ish just pain. So any donations to the dip sh*t und, or i anyone has a trolling motor or sale e-mail me and we'll hook em up. Thank you or your support. The catchermen crew will be back this weekend though. So we'll see you out on the water.
City: RosevilleTips: Never put the trolling motor down beore launching. Ha Ha. But then again, we already knew that

Water Temp: 69
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Tuesday evening with a good riend, and we did air, considering that the aternoon provided a vicious north wind - even or Amador's standards. It was gusting about 30 mph. My buddy got a nice crankbait ish right ater dark near the spillway - about 2 1/2 lbs. The wind did die down, but it got very chilly. He caught a small one and then I missed one on a Frenzy crankbait, but inally landed one on that bait about 1 3/4 lbs. About midnight, things looked up, just as they have been doing at Clear Lake. He got tapped, and set on a at 2 3/4 lb bass, using a 10" Power worm. I though I would try the Larew "Hoo Daddy" that I have been trying lately. Ater about 10 min, ishing in about 25 eet or water, I noticed in the black light that my line wouldn't sink back down ater I lited my Loomis rod. I knew that I was stuck in at tree - or..... - I set - and yes, it was a bass. No bite at all. It turned out to be 4 lb 3 oz - good way to end the trip. We were ishing the main body. So, 6 bass - 5 biggest about 12 l/2 lbs. Not great, but I've seen worse at Amador - oten!! I ished the next morning or awhile and only got one 2 pound bass on a Power worm. The bite was dead.
City: Yuba CityTips: Bass were much deeper this trip, and so was the bait. North winds will put everything down, except the trout! Work your bait slow, stopping it oten. As the water cools, shakin' works well sometimes. The jig should get better in the next month or two.

Report: I ished the carson arm rom Tuesday until Friday morning, caught alot o ish in the 1-2# range but surprisingly I didn't LAND anything over 2#.I decided to try cat cove on riday evening but to no avail, though I did miss a couple o ish.I was to lazy to try to get the night bite by the time 8:00 rolled around I wasn't sure wether I should go back to camp and drink beer or stay on the water casting aimlessly to what looked like the shore,I never stayed on the water past 8:30.Caught ish on topwater and missed some BIG bites or some reason they would not get the lure almost like they were hitting to the side o it,also bagged some ish on rubber worms and a couple on a sot jerkbait [shad colored].I was a little disappointed in how many bites I missed some o them seemed like some big ish.I did hook one that elt quite heavy but it didn't stay on or to long beore pulling loose.I will probably return in the next month or two or a ollw up hopeully I won't miss as many bites. The water level is verylow, watch out or lumber.
City: carson cityTips: make sure you try the night bite I regret not ishing later but there was no one to ish with and that gets boring ater a while.
