Report: Had an awesome frog bite going first thing this morning. Stuck a four and a five pounder, and had numerous other blow ups and then the wind kicked in and killed my presentation. Oh well, I got to see a free show courtesy of the Blue Angels today. They were out practicing their moves. What a show!!!

Report: About a week and a half ago I had two of my boat motors stolen out of my storage shed in the Oakley area. I have a suspicion of who stole them and I heard this person is selling stuff quite frequently at the flea market in concord. If anyone comes across a Nissan 8 horse and a Mercury 15 horse both two stroke. The Nissan is blue and silver and the merc is black with red writing. If anyone happens to come across these motors for sale please contact me right away. There will be a reward. Thanks

Tips: Someone please find these motors. Thanks

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Mostly sticking to the dead-end slough and marina areas concentrating on grass out away from the bank. Points that create eddies are always a good bet as are the mouths of small flooded islands (inside and out). Last week we were rippin hard and fast and were attracting schools of fish, this week most bites came on long pauses(10 sec or more). For the jig fish, we were targeting isolated wood, aggressively working the bait. Good luck

About an hour into the day "pop" my stearing cable on my t-motor breaks...called it a day.

Tips: did have quite a few blow ups on my favorite top water bait but noting stuck most likely small fish.

      Water Temp: 51-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Pre-ished thurs down south. Put 12 in the boat up to 4lbs on spinnebaits and drop shot #S20c worms. Focused on points and deep weed edges slow rolling down to 10 eet. I was suprised how hard these ish were nailing the spinner. Fished 3 hours ri morn down south again concentrating on the spinner. First ish absoltely crushed it and had me convinced it was a striper until I got her in the boat, 4 1/2lbs. Put 4 more in the boat up to 3lbs and had to go. My partner boated 4 in the 2-2 1/2 range on bombers, all being sot mushy type bites. Sun, Tournament day, our bite died with the slow incoming tied. Struggled, barely putting a small limit together. Only one bite on the blade, literally, she ripper the blade and ball bearing clean o. Most everyone ishing south reported how the bite turned o. First and second teams reported ishing tubes in the central and west delta areas.

Report: For Brian and carp ishing w/ ly. Yes they will take on top. Yes it is a grand hoot. For some o the bigger ish, you will not be over-gunned w/ an 8wt. They are usually eeding on vegetation debri in the ilm when we see them "sucking". .....lee s.
      City: petaluma

Tips: "Breadcrust" lies in the ilm....what a hoot!

      Water Temp: 52-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the AC semi-pro out o the the break. Ran north only to ind six boats crowded into our irst intended stop. ouch! Rather than try and share the ish, we uped an ran 45 min south into the tracy area and had the spot to ourselves. The reaction bite wasn't there so we quickly switched to the drop shot and had our limit beore 9am. We put 20 ish in the boat (17 keeps) culling up just onces at a time. We had some nice chunky limit ish between 1.14 and 2.4 but never got the kicker we needed. Finished w/ 5 or 10.11 and 7th place. Good enough or a small check and a boat load o un.
      City: TRACY

Tips: 43 teams and less than a dozen limits. I love to power ish so I hate to admit drop shotting. But when the bite is tough a spinning rod w/ 8lb line is hard to beat.

Report: me and the mouth went out on a guide trip with randy pringle lookn or stripers.we launched out o rio vista as it was calm, but reezn...as the morning worn on, it wouldn't warm up and everytime he engaged the trolling motor the temp dropped a couple o degrees...ater ishn and running or a ew hours in ugly water, he gave us a choice o running to a dierent area and ish some more or call it a day and rebook or a day when the conditions were better...it didn't take long or the mouth to opt or the coee shop...even tho' he took us ishn or more than a hal day, all he requested was gas money and a couple o spam musubi's...needless to say, randy is a man o honor and 'more than airness' type guy and we can't wait to go again!
      City: orinda

Tips: dress warm, cuz i sun doesn't show, it be cold...the sacramento was pretty muddy.

Report: The stripering has been real hit or miss or me this year. Last mon I bounced around some o my avorite west/central delta spots with what should have been a perect tide and great overcast skies only to get skunked. A ew have hearted rolls or me. Thurs morn as I idled out o the marina, tail still between my legs, I decided to switch gears and go or a late all crank pattern or largies down south. Good choice, boated about 20 in a ew short hours up to 4 1/2lbs and 2 more close to 3. Not to mention a 4 and 6lb stripes I caught ater watching blast shad on the urace. Racing back to the marina eeling like I got my mojo back I happened upon a lock o diving gulls. Hmmmmm, going to be late or work versus a striper boil, hmmmmmmm. A ew quick tosses w/ a trap put six more stripes in the boat to 8lbs and I was deinately out o time.... Fri morn went back to same spot w/ only an hour and a hal to ish. Five stripes to 11lbs on topwater.
