      Water Temp: 80+

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Thought the exceptionally high tide would produce good topwater action over weed beds. NOT! Caught a lot o dinks...I mean DINKS...barely able to get the whole hook in their mouths. Finally, caught a 5# 1oz rog ish about 8:00, switching to Senkos and crankbaits or the rest o the morning. The crankbait bite was pretty strong on numbers but a lot o small ish. Only managed 4 keepers in the 1-2# range out o about 20 ish. Senko bite was slow but did produce a 3+ at 11:00. Best 5 went 13.5#. The entire morning had moderate cloud cover (which is why I stayed with poppers and buzzbaits waaay too long) and changing winds. Most ish were in current but the big rog ish was deep in a shade pocket. Got o the water at noon. No ski boats. No jet skis. One cruiser. I think I'll ish mid week more oten!
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Smaller ish seem to be schooling. When I ound one ish in current, there were several more in the vicinity. Bigger ish have been isolated recently and mostly relating to shade.

Switched to crankbaits as the tide dropped...red craw color...caught over 20 ish up to 2 1/2 pounds. Towards the bottom o the tide, we lipped Senkos next to weed lines or a ew more ish. At low tide and during th irst part o the rising tide, we caught rog ish with the best 2 going 2 1/2 and around 4 pounds. Overall, the bite was red hot or numbers but no big ish.Had cloud cover all morning but couldn't buy a rog bite until the clouds burned o and the sun was directly over head.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Frog and Senko ish were relating to shade pockets. Crankbait ish were in current. Top water ish were over thick weed beds.

About hal our ish came on rogs beore 10am with the rest coming on Senkos and one spinnerbait ish. The rog ish were tentative. I missed two good rog ish early that could have won the tourny or us. One o them was big...it clamped down on the rog and literally ripped the legs outta the bait! Fished several colors o rogs but all the ish came on white rogs.Senko ish came next to isolated oshore weed patches with deep water nearby.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Shade, shade, shade! All but one rog ish came either in shade or immediately at the edge o shade.

Report: Sometimes its good and sometimes it's not. Monday morning went down south, Victoria and got 30 bass beore 8:00 on wht/wht persuader spinner baits and cht persuader buzz baits, most o the ish were 2-lbs.Tuesday, to Dissapointment had a 4 & a 7 come up on a rog didn't set, had one about 10-12lbs on a Slimy Slug along with some 3's on the slimy slug and rog about 20 bites on the rog.Wednesday, "Everstart" went to my big ish hole down south, and lost 4 good ish on the slimy slug all over 4lbs, then over to Coney and lost one about 5 on a spinnerbait and one I never saw on a jig. Now it noon and have 9lbs or 5 so I picthed the Frog Mossback or ther rest on the day and got a 4 and ended up with 11lbs.Thursday I needed over 20lbs so I started with the Frog around Franks and had 4 good ish on and lost every one by 6:30am. By this time I think someone put a hoax on me. Back to Whites and Dissapointment and I watched several 10's swimunder my Frog but not bite and I did manage to loose 2 good ones up there on the Slimy slug. For the day I had over 20 ish on the Frog but only had about 9lbs total. That's my Story
      City: Concord

Tips: The ish I targeted were very shallow about 1t o water in pockets and procted areas, anywhere in the delta as long as the water color is good.

Report: Went with a number o tubing and kickboat buddies to the Southern Delta and the topwater bite was on! Hit both the outgoing and incoming tides and only during the slack tide did ishing slow a little. I ended up with 17 ish, 1 on senko 16 on BUZZBAITS! No real size as the biggest was only 3lbs but un day on the water. A Bass-n-Tubes buddy had the Spook bite going and ended up catching between 35-40 ish. His ish were bigger as he landed a number in the 3-4 lb class and had a ew more on (one that put a nice show on or a couple o us!) that were about 5 lbs. He did get a couple dinks on senkos and another buddy caught about 10 on spinnerbaits. Others in our group caught ish on a mixture o baits with the largest going 7 lbs on a buzz (too bad it wasn't me!). Anyway, great day on the water! Can't beat a topwater bite!
