Water Temp: 50M
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Me and my guy launched out of ladds. went directly to FRANKS tract. CAUGHT ONE TWO POUNDER on a black jig and a three on small red crank. Fished every thing else Franks, but nothing more. Frustrated, he headed for Big Break [at about 1000 miles an hour] hit boat wake that darn near bounced my thirty pound frame right out of the boat. Nothing in Big Break, but finished limit in Sherman. Two pound males black jigs. Can't wait till he takes me fishing again.
City: weedpatchTips: If your not catching, hang in there. Its going to break wide open any day. [Jim, the Border Collie.]

Report: I have a question. I will be in town around the 20th and I wondering what would be the most productive way to fish (bass) the Delta during that time. Thanks for your help should you chose to give it.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: launched at holland and headed for the old river then later whisky. was able to find them in slow water working rip rap, eddy currents and particularly obvious wood stumps, branches and the like. check rocks and structure that will allow them to hold in position without much effort. used soft plastics, and small cranks to entice them on. total boated, nine with the largest being about 3 pounds. i checked mildred for stripers and found none. came off the water at 2pm.
City: El CerritoTips: 4 inch plastic worms in motor-oil color with small split shot or bass'in assassins in natural color patterns. very slow presentation using slight twitches. hits are slight so you need to concentrate. also try small cranks with short bursts of movement near backwater tulies. use soft water lure-entry presentations to avoid splashes that spook. found them at depths from 4 to 8 feet. tight lines!!

Report: Went out of Holland-Riverside last Fri and again on Tues. Tried cranking in various parts of old river down to Victoria. Only got two sqeakers on a red Poes 300. Both hit very lightly. Tried again on Tues, but got zilched until I went into Disco Bay for stripers. Trolled broken back rebels in either white/red head or chrome/blue back. The chrome seams to work better. If I marked bigger fish, I would stop and drop a spoon....tried everything I had...hopkins, castmaster pirk minnows in blue or chartreus , and prism image in either chrome/black or chrome/blue. The chrome/blue prism image was the only one that got bit...about a 3#. Gut hooked a cat and another small one, Then I hooked what I thought was a whale...it ran about 50yds before I could turn it... Turned out to be a tail hooked 10#er...oh well!!!!!!! Got two more trolling that were 6# and 8#.......a nice day!
City: San JoseTips: Starboard bay (I think its the third one in) had more shad and stripers than the other bays.

Report: Orwood - blackies were not cooperating in the morning. Still trying figure out the tide/season/clarity/temp thing. just. one dink. went to disco, saw Dee thomas leaving (maybe this was a sign?) ran into Mayday and Wife. Spooned until my arms felt like they were going to fall off. Tried everything - can't figure out how we could slay them two days earlier, then do squat two days later.. Decided to run upriver, did much better. Had three blacks to 3 lbs. Mayday got himself four, I think, and a very nice 4#er. Also caught scads of schoolie stripers to 3#. Nice end to a nice (weather-wise) day.
City: belmontTips: warmer water.. mudy

Report: Went out of Orwood w/TonyC. Started after blackies they were hard to find. Caught a couple on rattletraps on submerged islands, released them at the boat :-) - one would probably have gone at least 5 - oh well. After noon caught up Big Daddy in Disco - he told us where to go, along with a loaner Duh spoon - sure enough, found some stripers and caught a few, inc. a couple of sevens and five. Beautiful day to be out on the water. Got off by 2pm to finish xmas shopping!
City: belmontTips: Striper season baby! Hopkins & Duh spoons for stripers. Look for LARGE boomerangs on the depth finder. Found them outside of bait schools in deeper water - bite turns on and off randomly, so keep trying.

All but a couple fish were cought in 8 to 10" of water...Points with rock...close to deep water...Payed close attention to water movement and eddies...I sent some pics in. see ya Dave

Report: Foggy, had to idle through the fog. But once it cleared was very nice. The fishig was slow for us. Our fish came from rock banks with scattered tule clumps with deep water. We seemed to need 13-18 feet at the boat when we were 10 feet from shore. Two days turned up only seven keepers for 16lbs. Got beat by a team with a 24lbs. (9lb. Kicker).
City: OakdaleTips: The guys who one it said they threw craw cranks. We used medium diver shad frenzy. Speed traps in shad and Chartruese.
