      Report: Congrats Greg! Havn't fished with you since Amador last year. Glad to see you got the big girl you were after. I've been sticking to chabot but gotta keep catches a secret because I've came across big bass on stringers too often at this lake. Once you get your first there are many more to follow. Hope to see you at Chabot soon.

      Report: Largest Large Mouth Bass cought out o Contra Loma was a 10Lb and some ounces by Alex (Sturgeon Kid) this last spring. I have personaly gotten several ish this year well over 3lbs check photos and past reports.

      Report: Some one was saying that the largest ish that they knew about being caught was 3lbs. I have caught a Black bass that was only a couple onces o o the lake record. I was using a mann's spiner bait white and chartruce.

      Report: Oh and rip/jerk baits are a hard bait with a lip not too unlike a crank bait they tend to be long and narrow, Include the Lucky Crat pointer and staysee, Rapala ( the long narrow ones) Rogues, Rebel minnows, YoZuri Crystal and Emperor Minnow etc.Tom

      Report: I'll make it easy on you and tell ya the names o every area on the lake, I ya stand at the boat ramp lookin out over the lake north towards the dam to your let is the island (it is seperated rom land by a small channel and has a bridge on the back side o it, i ya wanna meet me some time to ish orm the bank I'd be glad to give ya the tour.) Next location is the Channel point dock (just to the right o that is the island and a cove) Moving along you will come to a rock levi this is the levi that seperates the swimlagoon area rom the lake next comes CatTail cove a narrow shallow cove lots o tules great place to lip worms and use topwaters. working along you will ind your sel at the Back dock and the back bank o the lake. Next o course is the dam turn that corner you will be at the extended part o the dam once you get back into tulies you will be at the East bank then back at the boat ramp area. I like to ish with other people so i ya ever wanna meet up let me know and we can arange some thing. I try to get my ishin ix once some times twice a week.       Tips: Hey all, Fished all around the lake except the east bank, got 6 keepres (that i didnt keep o course Catch and Relese bass every one!) 2 ish or around 3lbs, 2 ish or about 2 lbs and 2 ish good or 1 each i that. Got ish on every thing rom topwater to drop shotin, biggest 3 on jigs. Probably was me, I your havin a hard time ishin Loma, Id be willin to trade some o my spots and techniques with you or a seat on your boat one o these days.

      Report: There was a Kids ishing derby by the boat dock so I headed over towardsthe channel point dock area irst cast there with a Bass Stalker Jig I got a 4-5lb ish (picture on the photo page) Got another 1lb ish later on the same jig and some drop shot ish on a green pumpkin yamamoto lizard Headed over to the boat dock area ater the derby was over threw a swimbait and big sammy around with no takers put on a panther martin and got 4 trout and went home

      Tips: Slow down and i you miss a ish drop the rod tip and shake your line or a ew seconds they oten come back.

      Report: KOTL TOC WHOO HOO! Like alex said I won it. Lets think about it though would that really make me the king, ater all alex took AOY honors sliping 2 points ahead o me meaning he was that much more consistant than I was. Then again I was only 2 points behind him and won that tourny in a pinch all be it by just a ew ounces and only had 2 keepers during the day between the three o us. I think alex said it when he said the ish seem to know when the weekend is. I can ish a monday morning and pick up 3 4lb ish and have a ton o other keepres mixed in ish a saturday and get just about skunked. Well Ill spill the beans about my ish and the lure thats won me a couple o these here tournys. Its the Lucky Crat S8 Popper a low proile long casting poper that I think is verry unique ( Im not gunna say where Im ishin you can ind your own honey holes and Ill keep mine har) Makes it more un when you ind your own ish any how) any way the S8 is no longer in production by lucky crat so good luck inding one There is one site taht had some or a while but its probably out o em by now. For quick ish drop shot is probably your best bet right now.

      Report: 24th: went with my riend or about 2 hours..........GREAT DAY well started out wiith a sinko (brown/green) at the island and right next to the bridge theres ALOT o little 1-3 lbers there but i got 1 there and the i moved onto the actull island and was on the right side and there is a long patch o tullies and i got a nice 6 lber on a senico and it jumped up like they all do but he got some air!! lol but he poped the hook witch made me sooooooooo made and i was ishin right next to that spot and i elt him like a seinco bite and i yanked this one lol i aint loosin this 1 lol and he went to the brush!!!! lol then i pulled and i thought he was stuck but then he swam out witch was a suprise but all o a sudden he came up to the shore and hes a lunker and i pulled him up and he was a NICE 6 lber (not the same as the last 1 i lost this one is bigger) and i was so happy!!!!! next day........ 26th went out today and my riend got 2 lil lil lil ones on a texas rig and i missed one on a seinco lol o course but good luck ppl and ish the island or the little inlets and creeks and aaron and alex e-mail me!!

      Report: Cought 3 ish right at sunset on a popper 1.111oz15oz purty small ish compared to recent trips producing 2 ives on dirent days and a 3.5-4lber another day all top water ish.Tom

      Report: Friday: I started ishing at the boat ramp at 12:40 and didn't get crap. I went over to the bridge and lipped a 5" PBJ Senko. I got one 10inch dink. Then I went over to the scum over by channel point and got a ew blowups on a rog but no hookups. So I went over towards the swim lagoon and ished some scum beore I got there. On the irst cast one boiled under my rog. I pitched out and twitched it and then he ate it. He went 2 even. About 5min. later one hit my rog but didn't eat it. So I remembered this trick I read in BassMaster magazine. So I pitched it out and just let it sit there and started shakin' my rod. It hit it again and missed. Ater a ew more trys it inally took it. 2lbs.2oz. I went over to cat tail and got a ew blowups in the scum but no hookups. So I went back to the spot where I caught the two bass earlier. I pitched out to the same spot where I got the 2-2 and one boiled under my rog. It hit it again but this time totally exploded on it but still missed it. A ew minues later I inally got it to eat. As soon as a hooked it it just took o right towards the tules but I yanked it out. My biggest rog ish so ar. 3lbs.11ozs. I then went to the channel point scum and lost 2 big ish and a ew others because they would suck down my rog with a bunch o tules and when I'd set the hook I'd hook into the tules and not the ish. I let like at 8:00. Saturday: I got to the lake at 1:20. On my second cast with the rog I got a little one to suck it down and swim o with it but it was just holding it by the legs. So I went to the channel point scum patch and switched to a rog I had not used yet: a 1/2oz Black/red lk Snag Proo Pro Series Tournament Frog with Owner hooks. I pitched it out about 10t in ront o me, gave it 2 twitches, and BOOM! The surace just exploded. I set the hook and was just praying that this ish would not come o. It went towards some tules and I just yanked it away rom them. I hauled it up onto the bank and weighed it. 6lbs. even! Whooohooo! Mt biggest rog ish! Yes! What a ight too. This bass was STRONG! Those Owner rog hooks were stuck deep in the roo o her mouth. I had some guy take a ew pics with my camera and then let her go and she swam o like nothing even happened. I then went to cat tail and ished in there and got a 14ozer, a 2-1, and a 4 even. I thought that the 4 was a catish because it looked like it had that white crap around it's mouth and or some strange reason it looked like a catish. I was weird. There was no one around to take a pic either so I took one with her on the ground and one with me holding her out as ar as I could but it sucked. So I waded out and was about toe release her but then this guy cam walking by and I had him take 2 pics. I then went back to where I got the 6 and pitched 2t away rom where she hit and got a 12ozer. My second limit at Loma and a good one too. 13lbs.11ozs. I didn't get anything ater that and then let at 8:30. Sunday: I went ishing with my riends Armando and Herbie. Armando caught a 1-0 and a 1-2 and Herbie caught a lot o small bass and bluegill. We went to the spot where I got the 6. I was demonstrating to Herbie how I got the 6 and pitched to the same exact spot where I got it yesterday. I gave it 2 twitches and BOOM! I landed the big bass and weighed it. 3lbs.13ozs. I didn't get jack ater that except or a little 12" dink.

      Report: Alex and I headed out at about 630 to ish or a bit we hit part othe east bank with no success at all so we decided to move to we west bank we ished with buzzbaits and a wiggle wog or a bit alex got one swirl at his and I got none in the back cove, we started to move on but i decided I wanted to try my go to top water my avorite model o popper which isnt in production any more the s8 by lucky crat. Sprayed it with some bang shad ormula irst cast bloop bloop bloop pause*******bloop bloop pause**********bloop CRASH 2lber easy blew up on it I missed him however. moved down the bank because i was in a hurry to get that bank checked out and done with 3 casts later i got a swirl orm one o those 13 oz ish 3 casts ater that I picked up a 1lb ish alex got a couple more on a relic o a top water he throws he can tell ya what it is i he wants. We ran over to the dam at the last bit o light and on the walk over i hear something in the bushes right ater we got out o the dam pathway i look over "holy crap thats a skunk! alex responded "yeah it was" lucky or us the little guy didnt decide to stand his ground we woulda been in a world o hurt.So we worked the corner o the dam ora while I got one more blow up seemed like a good ish but I cnat be sure it was purty dark we packed up and let.Tom

      Report: Alot o ishing contra loma is knowing the lake and where the ish are loma ish can be unpredictable where they will tend to hang around you almost never know or sure a spot could look perect and you can throw everythingand anything at it and not get a single ish. Then walk to a barron part o the lake with little to no cover and pull out tons o ish or a couple good ones. Ive noticed that the bigger ish tend to stickaround the south west side o the lake but that dosent mean there arent big ish at the north end and east side. Blue back lures do well and dark jig colors and some greens tend to produce best or me. hope this helps you ind a ew more ish.Tom

      Report: Ok so yesterday Alex and I went out rom 2:00 till 830. He told you about his ish now ill tell ya about mine, It sucked or me out there i kept hangin on everything i could and scince you cant ind S8 popers rom lucky crat any more i went wadin a ew times any how. I got 1 ish on the s8 poper he went around 1 had no jig ish yesterday, threw a bold blue gill inesse worm and got 2 one was a ollow up hit ater a missed ish and the other was a 3lb ish whoo hoo pretty un on light tackle and spining gear, later i had a bigger bass explode on my poper but i got excited and yanked it away rom him darn then got one last ish at teh same time alex hooked his big 9lb ish i got it o and ran over to get pictures.

      Report: hey i went to contra loma cause u guys make it sound so damn good. i ishid by the damn and got one on a senko. then caught a huge trout with it. i really would like to know where u see all these bed ish and catch them on top water. i you guys can that would be very very nice. i really you can help me! thanks
