Report: Fished Collins both days this weekend. Tried topwater in coves and main lake points early Sat. nothing. Moved over and lipped a jig and topwater around the boat slips, again, zip. Moved out to main lake humps and ound some ish busting shad. started out throwing a Kastmaster and Flukes. Nothing on the Flukes, my partner inally caught one on the Kastmaster. When it spit up a couple o shad I realized the Flukes were probably too big. The shad they were chasing were only 1"-2" long. I switched to a blue/silver 1/4oz. Rat-L-trap and still nothing. My partner nailed a second ish on the Kastmaster. I igured what the heck, and dug out a 4" Senko and rigged it weightless on a 1/0 hook. Started catching a ew by casting to the boils and letting the Senko all on a semi-tite line. By Days end we put 5 spots up to 1 1/2lbs in the boat and I lost a 2-21/2 right at the boat.Sunday we started out ishing spinnerbaits and ripbaits on main lake points. My Dad hooked one on the ripbait and lost it 5' rom the boat. I landed a 1 1/2lb largemouth on a 1/4oz. white spinnerbait. Tried dragging plastics on a couple points with no takers. Again moved out to the hump and started throwin Senkos and shad colored swimbaits at the boils. Caught 3 more spots to 1 1/4lbs. Overall it's a still a pretty tough bite on Collins still. But the pending coldronts should help.
      City: Sun Valley Nv.

Tips: I had several bites on 4" and 6" worms in between shad boils while still on the humps. Throw shad colored plastics to the boils and let them all. Seems like they hit em within 4 or 5 seconds. I they don't take it by then, reel in and get ready or the next one.

On Friday there was a little top water bite in the evening, and on Saturday morning there was some Jerk bait action. All ish caught were Spotted bass. All ish ound within a ew eet o the bank. On Saturday Aternoon we were sight ishing out on the point covered with trees and were looking at some good 6lb. ish but could not get them to bite. Report: Just let the meat fisherman do their thing. I like how everyone is talking and fussing over ONE big fish, when that little Bing douchebag takes 10 fish a day. He fishes in the morning for a limit, then comes back in the evening for a limit. He's taken home several big fish, and way more smaller 2-4lb fish. Idiots will be idiots, there's nothing you can do about it. Most of the big fish are gone from this lake.
That "13lbers" isn't even fucking 13, their scale is a JOKE. That asshole was there at Loma yesterday and took another fish home around 6.

If you want big bass from this lake, TROLL A CRANKBAIT, it's what most of the bigger fish are being caught on by these meat fisherman. Go eat all the bass you can, and die of mercury, PLEASE.

Tips: Don't bother trying to educate these ignorant fucking people. There is no point. Half dont' speak english, and the other half just think they're hot shit and could care less what you say.

Please. If you see someone with a fish over 10 , just take it out of their hands and release it. Simple enough.

Report: Hey hg....the guy you are refering to is "Mitch". He actually drives a small green pick up. The guy with the brown suv I know pretty well. He is a good guy and I have personally witnessed him release many very large bass. I agree that ALL bass should be released. I too strictly bass fish and fish this lake 3 days a week or more. It is very disheartening to watch people take these very large fish home. I have encouraged everyone I know up there to release these bass...some don't listen. But I did confront the guy you described today when I was up there...and he said it wasn't him. There is even a picture of this asshole Mitch holding his big bass at the kiosk. You will know Mitch as he is the guy that will troll right over all of the bank fishermen's lines. The guy with the brown suv (I don't want to give his name)is NOT the one I believe you are speaking about....Happy fishing.
