Water Temp: Hot
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: On the lake early the morning bite was good for top water spooks and buzz baits. Best fish came on Texas rigs with baby craw dads and grubs. They hit some crank baits in shad and crawdads for a few 2 to 6# fish the big fish of the day was a 7+# and that was about it for the day. Slow is the name of the game right now. Boated about 15 fish total.
City: FresnoTips: Slow and steady seems to be the name of the game right now. Swim baits are working also.
If you can get on the lake early and I fished till about noon and got off before it got too hot. The water temp seams to push the fish a bit deeper as the day goes on.
Good luck and be careful. -
Water Temp: Who cares

Report: Mark I just wanted to thank you for all the great information you have posted in regards to this lake. It is really appreciated. I have fished Eastman twice now and going for number three this weekend. By taking you advice my fishing partner and I have had two, and hopefully three, of the best days on the water. Keep up the good work it's truly appreciated!
Tips: Listen to Mark he knows this lake very well.

Report: From the looks of the photos looks like some nice fish are coming out of eastman and millerton lakes.
Are you guys afraid others will fish your spots?

Report: im posting a heads up ...this time of year the bass in eastman will hold up on the first drop from the coves. go to 15 to 25 feet drop a black with red flake or dark colored custom worms with noticable blood vien. i prefer a gulp turtle back 4" in blk/rd flk with split shot 12" to 18" from worm. on days with warm weather look to the shallow spawning big boys ...remove split shot go wieghtless and drag ....S.U.P.E.R..S.L.O.W !

Water Temp: 84
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Eastman is close to being a Puddle !! Extreme caution should be used. Watch or "Red" balls loating to warn o rock piles and island tops.Started ishing in back around trees with Spooks, blades, Senkos. Caught 2-3.5's, 3-2.5's, a couple o deces, and a ew dinks. Moved to rock piles by the day use ramp and caught more duces. Wind up to 15-20 mph made it diicult to ish at best. Drop shot rock piles or more dinks. Gave up with the wind getting worse.
City: ClovisTips: spooks got the best ish, dropshot got the dinks.

Water Temp: Up to 83 degree
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went to my avorite un lake at around 9am; my buddy slept in again so there went the morning bite. Had a ew ish here and there on pumpkinseed tube baits. The ish were tight to the trees; had to throw into them or right on the edge. The trolling motor took a dive an hour ater we launched so the day went by pretty slow; as always Eastman got windy in mid-aternoon so we had to "okie anchor" rom spot to spot that's why I think our numbers were so low. When the evening bite came around 7pm it was luke time; threw some o my hand poured pearl white lukes in the spillway and held on or dear lie; the ish came alive and out o no where; threw to the bank twitched it a little and bam....ish!!!.......I saw baby bass everywhere so through out the day the bass could be very choosy on what the ate..but pretty soon when the are all gone (ater this post-spawn) the ishing should pick up....good luck to all..
City: FresnoTips: Throw tight to cover during the day and chase baitish...i used a pumpkinseed tube bait in 1/4oz....and used baby bass and pearl white lukes or my reaction baits in the evening...the liked the lukes presented pretty ast with a little action on the top o the water..

Water Temp: 78

Report: Got out about 7 am. Alot o ish jumping but no topwater takers. Caught all ish rom sticks in 6 to 20 eet. Bite shut down ater about 10am. Ended up with 8 ish. 3 at 3.5-4#, 3 at 2.5 and a couple smaller ones. All on worms.

Water Temp: warm!
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: went up around 6am and didnt get much o an early morning bite. around 10am ish started to jump everywhere near the spillway (or whats let o it). I used some handpoured six inch worms in a blue ghost (similar to the 2001 keepers)and some handpoured pearl white lukes. the ish were hearding bait ish right up on the shallows; didnt want to spook the ish so i casted on the bank and dragged it slowly in the water. didnt get and real big ish; but did get a three pound average with the smallest ish going a little over two pounds. use a texas rig with a stop and hop retrieve and you should do pretty good.........and reminder...its hot up there!........good luck.
City: FresnoTips: texas rig with 1/8 oz. bullet heads with a bead......cast to the bank and slowly pull it into the water. i used some pearl white lukes with a stop and go retrieve.

Water Temp: unknown
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: got a late start ishing that day. we were ishing about 12pm. we didnt get a bite until about 4pm. the water level is very very low. ive been ishing there or years and never have seen the water level so low (there is no spillway and the good spawning area in the back that we all ish is gone!)about 5pm ishing broke loose. i caught all o my ish on some handpoured pearl white lukes. big ish was about 4lbs. its too bad there sucking the lake dry this year; those days o high water i think are over or a while.
City: resnoTips: get there real early .........or ish late in the evening. does anyone know i we can night ish there yet? (it was a rumor we can)

Report: In response to Deepvbasser,
Slow Rolling is my own made up description of a technique I use. My gear of choice for this technique is, Dobyns Champion 734c paired with a 51e curado, 12 pound fluorocarbon with a 5/8 tungsten worm sinker, 15 – 19 inch lead line w/ extra wide gap Gamo hook 5/0. My son’s setup was a Dobyns Champion 734c paired with a curado 101d, 12 pound fluorocarbon with a 5/8 tungsten worm sinker and an extra wide gap Gamo hook 5/0. Slow rolling for me is just a reference of slow cranking your bait caster handle. I like to move my bait by dragging and every now and then pop my lure off the bottom surface, pausing 1 minute to 2 minutes and repeat the process until I’m out of the strike zone. Hypothetically speaking, one cast can take up to 7 – 9 minutes to re-cast. Most of the bite came in at about 15 – 25 feet of water after a deflection from bottom contact or from the bait falling after a jerk of the rod. I fished mainly transition structure changes from sand to rocks, grass and drop offs. Hope it helps.
City: SacramentoTips: You also provided a couple of great reports. Looking to continue hearing from your trips as well. Tight Lines.

Report: the dead sea is alive. Folsom bass team had a 16 boat team tournament sat. Winners had 16 lbs followed by 15. I caught 9 keepers and came in 5th??? Bite was all day with my limit coming before 9 am.
City: orangevaleTips: Mostly fish dart head slow as possible then slow down some more. I has 2 largemouth and 7 spots. I used 8lb floro line. Find the bait which is everywhere and fish that area. Good luck

Water Temp: 48- 51

Report: First day on the water in the new year. On just before noon and off by 3:30. One spot well over 3 and one smallmouth just under 3. Both were just outside of baitballs on the bottom. Salmon mixed in the same group. 6 or 7 salmon to 2 bass today. I hope to reverse that next trip.
City: Granite Bay Highlands -
Water Temp: 47 - 49
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Thought I would take a run to Folsom to go after some spots. The last time I was on this lake was when I purchased my Triton from Matt. Not knowing that much about Folsom, Thought I would fish the "sunny - side" (south facing) looking for some bait fish in some slightly warmer water. Sure enough, Got into a few that looked like they swallowed a softball. (3-4 pounds) Then it shut off, and it was done. COLD WEATHER -Brrrrr
City: UKIAHTips: caught mine slow draggin' a water-melon candy & pumpkin-seed lizard - Very, Very, soft bite. Sometimes couldn't feel anything, just slack in the line as the fish picked it up and moved towards the boat. OKAY DAY . Not sure it was worth the tow but, it's always good to fish somewhere different.

Water Temp: 74 a.m.

Report: A friend and I decided to fish Mormon humps today and managed six keeper sized spotted bass. Last year at this time we had better luck. I guess all these tournaments are having an impact. This is our home lake and it is just too far to travel to other lakes. Give us a break.
City: El Dorado HillsTips: Carolina rigs with small brush hog in watermelon caught most of our fish.
