Report: Anybody know if the lake is completely dried up yet? I havent been able to go but i plan to this weekend, hopefully with a float tube. I dont want to take everything just to see a dry lake! haha. I just thought that since there havent been any recent reports that maybe there was no more Lake Ilsanjo. Email or another post is fine. Thanks, good luck!

      Report: Bruce,
The lake only came up 33' or so over the winter. It has already dropped 9' in the last month or so since Yolo County starting taking water. Its roughly down 75' and falling pretty fast. Not looking good.

Report: Haven't been back. I read in the local newspaper the main gate will be locked until March 1. Supposedly they are fixing up the road and the campground. Here's a link for the current lake level.

      Water Temp: 55.3

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: All day on Saturday. Snow on the peaks, and cold. Fished in my duck hunting clothes all day and still was chilled. Four bass all day, all around 2.5 lbs, two no a jig and 2 on a carolina rig baby watermelon red brush hog. Fish were on points down to 25 t. I did catch the largest crappie I have ever seen on a L.C. crank bait and the L.C. picked up a eagle lake trout.
      City: Sacramento,

Tips: Here is the low down, good road conditions, water is close to ull, at least much more so than last year, ramp is good and even though I have a Ranger 518DVX the road and ramp were ok. Due to the storms and last 2-3 weeks o cooler than usual weather I would wait another month beore hitting this lake. Also be prepared to spend a ew hours cleaning your rig ater the 14 mile dirt road ride, even with a cover.

Report: Fished this weekend between the hours o 6:00 a.m. - 1:00 a.m. ishing with everything we had rom live worms, crankbait, spinner luers, jigs, pork rinds, and powerbait, but couldn't even get so much as a bite. Ater talking to other anglers there, it seems not one person had any luck. In act, I overheard gentleman at the boat launch say he would even be happy i someone else caught something. Deinitely a waste o time.

Report: not too many people fish this place around this time of year because they close the park at like 7 or 8 and its not worth going there when you have to pay a fee to park, a fee to fish the lake, and then only have like an hour or so to fish because you get off work at like 5 and fight the traffic, and have to be out of the park in an hour or 2. plus the fishing isnt too great here unless you really know what you're doing. I fished here a few times this summer and didn't do great. I caught a few small largemouth on live worms and plastic worms. And I caught about 10 catfish between 3 to 7 pounds on anchovies and chicken liver.

Report: went out or the day with my boat, saw a guy come in with a 16 pound trout and just this saturday the new lake record was caught an 18 pound 9 oz rainbow!!!!!. he caught it on a tube bait that you use or bass and the other guy caught the 16 pounder on a crankbait. this lake is ull o monster trout this year and most o them are being caught on rat l traps and crankbaits and rapalas so i the bass arent biting go or trout!!!!. but i ished every little inch o the shore rom my boat and saw a huge number o monster bass in the shallows getting ready or the spawn. i hooked one around 1:00 on my secret bait which works very well!!!. then i took my boat back to the east cove and lipped some tules and pulled in a solid 2 pound bass on my secret bait, i'm going to be out on the water this saturday and sunday so i'll report back then too.
      City: Moraga

Tips: small plastic worms and anything with a subtle all.p.s. please catch and release all bass especially during the spawn and do your best not to catch bass that are spawning or sitting in nests!!!!! thank you and good luck
