Report: To those who don't have a season parking pass,Watch out for the new machine at Lime Saddle that is used to collect your fees. It took my 9 bucks and didn't spit out a slip. I then knocked on the front of it to see if it was maybe stuck and the thing started going off like I was robbing a bank or something. So use the yellow envelopes to save yourself the "JOY" of using the new technology.

      Water Temp: 59-67

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Last Thursday the 8th took a couple of great guys out for afternoon-eve. trip and had a great time . Lots of bass in the bracket with 5 over. Showed them how to use tubes, senko's and to spot bedding bass. They got pretty excited watching the bass gaurd their beds. On the 13th took a father son team out mid morning to mid afternoon and found the bite to really turn on. About 70+ bass for the half day but with only two over. The main key was to go with darker colors in the tubes and senko's. Green pumpkin and watermelon were the best colors.
      City: Paradise

Tips: Walls and points outside coves proved to be the feeding areas for the bass.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: yeah i went with joe daddy and he schooled me as usual-of course dont ask him who has the biggest spot and biggest largemouth out of oroville between us-i got him covered on that but he definitely has me out slotted by a very large margin so say what you will-as far as spinner baits go-i caught a nice 18inch post spawner one time at dusk on a big chartrues spinner with a red eye and a chartrues colorado blade by a bush on some rocks on a drop off-just let the spinner drop where i thought a fish was and it ambushed the fallin spinner-pretty cool getting to see how fast that spot jumped from his rocky cover to attack the fluttering spinnerbait and engulf it- as far as catchin a spot on a spinner during the spawn-good luck on that ill stick with some bottom baits-
      City: Palermo/Oroville whatever

Tips: put the right bait on a bed and you'll really piss off those slotty spottys!

Report: Report from Monday. Fished all day for big numbers as usual using Robos in all colors. Top water in shaded areas. Dad and I started off in the upper end of the middle fork and spent the afternoon/evening in the north fork. Lot's of wildlife sightings today, including a bear swimming across the NF... We watched him make it across then amble up the hillside. Beautiful day. Vaughn

      Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: TO the guy with the nice boat who cant catch fish. (NO OFFENSE), Oroville is probably the easiest lake in california to catch large numbers of fish on any given day. Try two methods and stick with them until you learn how to catch em'. 1) 3/16 oz. Darthead with 6" robo-worm in Oxblood, Aarons magic, margarita mutilator, prizm shad. also use a drop shot with the same colors. Try backing off the fish a bit, if the boats in 4-6 ft your way too close, put the boat as far from the shore as you can while still being able to reach with your casts. hope this helps!!

There was'nt much of a reaction bite, but I caught fish all day on plastics. Fish were in 10-30 feet of water. I going to shasta for a week 5/1to5/7 I let you know whats up when I get back.

      Water Temp: high 40's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: First visit to the lake since july. Got a late start, about 9 am. Dropshot a fish or two about 40 ft and then started throwing a jig and picked up several more. Missed several and got another on a dart head. I believe I shall switch from 1/8 oz to 3/16 as It is too hard to control and maintain contact. One keeper for the day. Alas, I fear I should have stayed out of the south fork and concentrated on main body. It never stopped raining all day and my partners snow gear soaked through by 11 am. He was done for. He did catch one on a weightless senko in 30 feet............oh my god that is too deep to fish a weightless bait!!!!!!

      Water Temp: 47-48

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished GCB tournament saturday and started spinnerbaiting on a channel bank. Caught 2 but they were short o 15". Caught a total o 4 keepers in the south ork or 7.59 lbs. Took 7.61 to get a check RATS! Had un and caught probably 14 ish on jigs.
      City: YC

Tips: Fish rom 15-45 eet mostly.

      Water Temp: 48

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Thought we we idiots going out today until another basser showed up at the launch and we took o in the rain. It turned out to be a rather nice day with light rain and little to no wind but we didn't want to do too much running so stayed near the main body and had a very good day with nearly 20 bass, 7 or 8 o them over the slot and the rest big, at slots. Almost all ish were caught on a jig with a ew on a tube and one on a Senko and all in 30' o water.
      City: w

Tips: I was virtually dead sticking the jig and the bite was virtually non detectable, slight pressure and many headed straight up and I lost 6 by not being able to get a solid hook set. Jig was brown/orange (1/4 oz) with the inamous #180 Yamamoto trailer. When you think you can't ish any slower, slow down and stay in 30' and you'll have a great day.

      Water Temp: 55-59

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just spent 10 days on Oroville preishing or the Anglers Choice Pro-Am and ishing the event. Had one good preish day with a 10# limit but most days produced 7 to 8 pound limits. Caught 30-50 ish a day on dropshot, jigs and C-rig plastics. Reaction bite produced small ish or me and ewer numbers than on plastics so I decided to try wading through large numbers o ish on plastics to cull up decent limits. Unortunately, I only managed 15 1/4 pounds or two days but we caught huge numbers o ish.Dropshotted small Yamamoto cuttail worms in shad or watermelon colors. Also, during preish, I caught a 4 pound largemouth on a Spook in the south ork but that random bite never developed into any pattern or me.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Fish are holding closely to the bait balls. Dropshot, spoons and jigs will produce great numbers. But, i you catch a ew small ish on a particular bait ball, move on to the next school. The spots seem to be schooled up by size...no sense in wasting time on schools o small ish.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished main body and south ork and although the bite was slow, did manage to pick up 3 overs and about 6 at slots. They were all ull o bait ish and had the majority o bites on tubes and drop shotting ater the early morning topwater bite turned o around 8AM. Most o the bites came at 20-30 eet although one hit immediately at the bank.
      City: Wheatland

Tips: Used a 1/4 oz head or the tubes to get me to the bottom quickly and they preerred pumpkin seed color. Used the small spook in the morning in shad color with 3 nice ish and a number o blow-ups but the topwater turned o real quick.

      Water Temp: 60 ish

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Kris and I hit Oroville on Veterans day. thank you veterans or all you have done to keep the USA strong! Started spinnerbaiting a windy channel bank. Zip squat until I ripped a couple on a LC 128 to get things rolling. Ran up south ork to catch the only Largemouth o the day o the bridge on a dropshot. Found some bait by the bridge where I spooned several and we dropshot about a dozen. No keepers though. Hit a ew spots on the way back to the main body and picked up a ew more, dropshotting about 40-65 t. On main body Island, it was un and still productive rom 10 days ago. Only thing though, instead o only catching them at 60-75', we caught more than a couple rom 30-55'. On our last spot, we caught 16, even a double hookup on my 2 hooked dropshot rig. Then I hooked something or somethings that broke the whole dam thing o. I igure we caught about 40 ish and not a one o them was 15". Baitish color worms seemed to be the best.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Find bait on your graph and ish the bait. We had many at spots, atter than 10 days ago, but no 15" ish. I tried 80-90 eet, thinking the bigger ish might be there, but no dice.

Report: pre-ished Oroville or uture pro tour event. nothing irst thing until 8:05 12" smb, then 14" spot at 8:10, 14" spot at 8:18, dink smb, and so on. overall 17 ish with the top 5 only maybe 6 lbs. One topwater, 7 drop shot, one Helix, 4 t-rig, 5 split shot or carolina.Sat, better ish 10+ ish only 6 keepers or 7.91 lbs and 4th place out o 80+ teams. Great partner Tiger Madsen started the day with his spook and plastice or the rest. North end where the water came in and cooled the temp 8 degrees or so. First check in 6 events!!!!!
      City: Paciica

Tips: North end where cold water came in was our best success
