Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Time o day dictates what size leader, and what depth I throw the Drop-shot. The ish are up shallow and active in the morning, so I'll throw it shallow (2-5 eet) until the sun hits the water. When the sun hits the water, my approach changes and I'll throw it on deeper structure (points and drop-os) that lead into deep water. Keep your leader long enough to where your bait will be above the weeds, even i you have to go 3 eet or more. Hope this helps...Andy

Tips: Throwing rogs, buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, and crankbaits have never produced or me out there in the backlakes. That doesnt mean that they won't work, but stick to plastics, and change colors and baits until you ind out whats workin.
