      Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

      Report: Went out to Yorty today got there abut 9:00a.m about an hour befor they decided to open the gate .I fished the sunny side in the back caught my first fish on wacky about 1 1/2 lbs. The next fish an hour later I caught on a texas senco 3 lbs. 30 min later i managed to pull a 4 lb 10oz LM off of her bed with a watermelon red and black flake baby brush hog. It was a pretty good day in all i caght 4 fish in about 3 hours.

      Tips: there is alot of fish on the banks my advice is to pick one thats not to spooky and try puttin somthing right in front of it and workin it real slow.

      Report: the water level is dropping about a foot a day and clearing up. found areas of green water with 5 feet of visibility. fished the skaggs spring road side, all the way to the north end. found fish, using a spinnerbait, sitting on grassy humps off of wood. tight up to shore in the wooded coves. fished hard all morning for one nice largemouth.

      moved out to the steeper banks on open water and found a nice smallmouth bite. fish were chasing fingerling shad against wind blown points. picked up two really nice smallies on a mid running crankbait. shad pattern finish. all fish had huge bellies and were eager to fight.

      Tips: tip of the week: fish one day, pleasure boat the next. the water is warming up and the weather has been beautiful. careful of the floating timber spread throughout open water. there are whole trees still floating out there.

      Report: Hawghunter, you mean bad weather as in "good?" I've been going out a lot in March and have been getting a few during the bad weather (down pour, snow, wind). The days I have been on Trinity with the sun shinning I have blaked. Anyone heard of any monster's being caught on Trinity? My biggest so far is a 4lb. largmouth. Anyone see the canoe man from Willow Creek on the water? Happy fishing & putem back so we can catchem again.

      Water Temp: 57-61

      Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

      Report: 6:15AM start in Putah around small islands with a zara spook(baby bass)caught a few but missed several, so I started following those short strikes with wacky worm(black & red flake)to catch two more. Then headed deep into Putah to fish the outside edge of a large cove with a large gravel flat that developed with this years rain and thru a custom spinner(white & red) and shallow cranks(shad)caught a couple more.I then went to the dead wood forest and was marking a ton of fish in the twelve to twenty foot range, so I tied on a deep running crank and caught the pig of the day almost 7 lbs. All the rest of the fish I caught were 2 to 2 1/2 lbs each.

      Tips: The start of the day was nice with a slight ripple. Thats why I started with the top water. but by 11:30 the wind had started to blow real good when trying to work the main body. I DID NOT SEE ANY BEDDING FISH.

      Report: Light wind early but picked up later in the morning but was fishable. Too many boats on the North East shoreline so I went to the North West shore fished that area for nada throwing jigs, worms and jerkbaits for 8am to 10am. Headed to Putah in the 5 mile zone and hooked 3 dinks on the inside pockets of a few coves on Senkos and jigs. Fish seem a bit confused on water conditions but seem to be looking for nesting areas. I saw many fish hanging in the coves but are not interested in eating. The lake has been rising rapidly and is about 6 to 8 feet from being full. I guess I should have gotten up earlier!

      Tips: Berryessa is more of a late afternoon lake so if you fish it in the morning get there just before sunrise before everyone else gets them spooked! When you hook a fish work the area good since chances are there are a few more willing to bite in that specific area. My guess is a week to 2 weeks this lake will be full of spawning fish!!!

      Report: Rolfy and I fished South Delta and the water is still muddy,not as bad as last week but still muddy.
      We got lucky on wacky senkos and flippin.As reported in Earlier Reports we found them set up on tule points near deeper water.As I've said earlier...if we can catch'em anyone can

      Report: Launched out of Ladd's, got on the water about 7:30. Fishes Disappointment Slough most of the day and Turner Cut, caught 5 (all in the 2-3 pound range) and mised a few, nothing to brag about, wind was whippin' and spent too much time fighting with that. was blanked in the early morning throwing white spinnerbaits, pitched weightless Senkos(watermelon/red flake) into tules for all 5 fish. VERY soft bite. fish will just pick it up & cruise with it, doesn't seem like they are chasing anything right now. I keep waiting for the bite to turn on...but it still ain't there yet, should be any day now.

      Tips: fish slow & tight to cover. charge your batteries good, as you'll be on the TM all day fighting the wind.

      Report: Went over to the lake today with my dad to see if there were any fish moving up on to beds. There were and we had one hell of a day my dad landed 4 fish a 3, 3 , 2, and 1 and I landed 7 with an 8 pounder tossed in. Overall it was a great day of fishing heavy cover.

      Report: My wife managed to catch her first decent bass up near Lucerne. went about 7.5lbs on the scale and back into the water. Last fall she caught many double digit catfish in the same area so shes liking clearlake fishing. Because of this, my normal fishing partners spend a lot of time home because she loves fishing now and i get to hit the water alot more.

      Report: On the lake with my 6 year old to see how the bite was. Been working for a month straght and have not been able to get out. Hoping for a reaction bite then looking for bed fish. No reaction fish at all did a little worming and cought some solid fish including my sons 4 LB plus SM. Then around 10 went bed fishing. found quite a few wind did make it hard to see had to have the boat angle just right. Picked up around 10 bed fish all together all solid fish running around 2.5-4lbs. Then we found a monster worked the fish for around 45 minuts and was well worth it a 10.9 lb LM. For our best limit to date from this lake at 25.8LBS weighed on my scale. And to top it off my 6 year old cought his first bed fish all by himself.

      Tips: The fish are using all the new flooded cover. More bed fish are on the way. Can not understand the lack of reaction fosh though.

      Report: Lake has clear up.. It is now fishable... The anglers fishing from the shore are hooking into some nice trout, 2-3 pounds. They have been catching them on pink/orange& white power bait Troilers are doing well also pulling a action disc w/ a worm or fly chasing it.-----------> DON'T MISS THE TROUT FISHING DERBY APRIL 16 - 17.......GOOD FUN ! contact the Narrows for more info. or to sign up....       Report: I fished the FAB-4 Invitational Derby on Saturday launching out of Sugar Barge marina. My partner, Hook 'em Hard Frank, and I headed South into Sandmound slough and Taylor slough to get out of the wind. This proved to be a good wind break for us and produced the clearest and warmest water. We found fish scattered along the outside of the weed bed, suspended at 5-12 feet deep in 15 feet of water. Fish were sluggish and bite was very very soft. In most cases, didn't know they were even on the hook. Weight of our best 5 was well under 15 lbs. First place went to Team Fremont, Karl T. Keeper. and Tommy Tight Loop, with their winning fish coming on the final cast of the day.

      Tips: Fish very slow, letting bait sit motionless on the bottom for first 2-5 seconds. Senkos, split-shot worms and Carolina-rigged plastics produced the best results. Best bait was motor-oil worm with chartruse tail. Use straight tail, not curly.

      Report: got out to the water about 7ish. fished on the east delta. at spud early morning, nada! had one hit off a brn/red jig with bloody red beaver,lost it hook didnt set. might be a small one who knows!! went to around empire, skunked!! decided to go try out this slough we fished last weekend because the water was really clear, and got good actions!!!fished there was already spawning and really active! saw an 8+ momma, couldnt get her to commit to bite..she was hiding and wouldnt come out from weeds. was alot of weeds...caught about 23# the whole day...average fish was mostly 4#....was out there for 12 hrs..

      Tips: caught most of the fish on points and tulles...mostly points is the key!! all fishes caught on topwater, traps, blades, and the number one senko!!!

      Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

      Report: A windy start to the day and I was fired up hopin for a good reaction bite (finally)Stuck a 6 on a 5/8 oz blade runner spinner bait and the heart was pumpin! Caught two 3's in the next 5 casts and that bite bite died,Bucked the wind on the windy south side of the tract for the next 3 hours and deciced to put the blades down.I started flippin the black and red beaver and sure enough the flip bite was back,after the last two days of the fish being suspended on the surface they finally moved back to the bottom.Managed to salvage 20lbs +or- for the day.

      Tips: Although short lived the reaction bite died for me early but these fish are still sluggish and tight to cover but reacting to the heavier weight on the flip if they dont hit it on the fall let it sit for 5 seconds and pop it 6 inches if that dont work make another flip.

      Report: Great day on the lake. Started off slow in the morning with fish mostly caught on senkos. After 3 P.M. the water temperature started to rise and the bite was on. Spinnerbaits around docks worked the best. Fish mostly south of Konocti Casino. Smallest fish was about 2.5 and most were around 3-5 LBs.

      Tips: Senkos and Flukes got me 20lbs. for 5 fish, 6 lbs. was my biggest.Lemon and white flukes, watermelon red senkos around spawning and backs of coves in 2 to 8 ft. of water.

      Report: Fished Folsom for the first time this year and had a decent day. All fish came on blades from 5 to 10 feet of water. All fish came off a 1/2 ounch Persuader Chart/White spinnerbait with gold Colorado blades. Caught spotties in the 2's, a 3.6 and a 4.5 all on same bait.
      City: Roseville

      Tips: Fished shallow coves/flats, cast up to the bank and slow roll back. Changing reel speed or a stop and go created more bites. Good Luck ~
