Water Temp: getting warmer
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Been itching to go with the warm weather. But then I forgot with all the rain that it would be muddy. It's super muddy and lake level has risen. I have never done well there when the water is like chocolate. Tossed big bulky baits for zip. visibility is 0-6".

Water Temp: 56-57
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Been years but I decided to leave the south Delta for action on the east side. Got to Ladds @6:00 I was the first boat there. Before I could get into the water there were 5 boats that beat me into the water. First stop Turner cut. 5 minutes I caught a 2.3. No action for the next 1.5 hrs. Left for Kings Island (near the Marina) Nabbed a 5.3 Slow rolling a white spinnerbait near the rip rap. Finished the day at about 1:00 pm within sight of the Marina with 16 lbs. Nothing under 2# All but the 5.3 with a green weenie fishing the shade side of the vegetation at about 3'- 6' of water.
Tips: The water was like chocolate. Don't expect too much action, just boat the ones that hit you. I only had 8 bites all day but able to boat 5.

Water Temp: am = 53 degrees
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Mendo. on Sunday March 27th. Pretty much the plan was to scout things out after rains and flooding. Yup, the lake is nice and full. Water color would be "MUD" !! Tons of fish stacked in pre-spawn @ the old river drop offs. THOUSANDS. Water temp was 48 - 50 degrees. ------ Got a tournament coming up so , Teresa and I went out again on wednesday March 30th to come up with a game plan.... In just a few days the Corps had dumped a good 2 feet of water. But, the lake is still in really good shape. Water color was muddy-green and you could see down 1 ft in the open water and 2 ft. in the coves. Cool, water temp had come to the mid to upper 50's. I thought that there would now be some males up in the flats snooping around looking for a snack and possibly a nest site. I tried to keep the boat right on top of the drop offs . Teresa fished the drop off with a plastic crawldad and a paddle-tailed swimbait. She did get a couple of nice hits on the crawl. no takers on the swimbait off the bottom. ??? I mostly thru a chartrouse - gold dbl. willow bladed spinnerbait. I too missed two fish. ??? even with a trailer hook? Just when I thought that I was not going to find a pattern, We did. Then we got into the fish... Feel better about our chances now on April 9th... Off the lake by 2:45 pm.
City: ukiah, CA.Tips: Find the warmer water. The fish that bit for us were in 60 - 62 degrees & in 7 - 10 ft. of water. YOU WILL BE A SUPER STAR IF YOU CAN GET THE FISH STACKED ON THE RIVER CHANNEL TO BITE. good luck ! see ya on the water. Remember to keep it reel ! DON 4reel fishin.com

Water Temp: 54-57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Flipped a giant first thing in the morning only to have her break me off rite at the boat.....No bites for the next four hours then a five and a 3 and thats it.Franks tract north end today, less wind warmer water and did notice a few fish here and there on the surface sunnin in protected pockets.
Tips: Same rig played with the colors a bit but went back to the black and red and got all of my bites, tried fishing inside away from current and nothing as soon as I went back out and started fishing 6' to 8' near current got bites and quality fish. tight lines.

Oroville Lake
-
Water Temp: 48-50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Oroville today, and boy was it tough fishing! The lake was flat with no wind, and had blue bird sky. I fished from safe light until about 5:30pm only to catch one fish. The water temp was pretty cold, some parts of the lake like the main body was around 48 degrees, while some coves were up to about 50-51 degrees. I didn't see any fish on the graph today which I thought was a little odd. The one fish I did catch came out of the slot, and it was caught on a watermelon tube. I think with the up coming warm weather the lake is going to turn around, these last few weeks have been tough with the water up and down, and really no stability.
City: OrovilleTips: Fish slow, and keep moving to you find them. I can't give a whole lot of tips seeing I only caught one fish.

Pardee Lake
-
Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got out on the lake late so I missed the early morning bite if there was one. There sure wasn't any other bite going on the rest of the day. Fished from about 9:30am till 3pm and nothing. Fished the lake and up river. Tried submerged islands, points, and even in back of coves and nothing. The trout boats were in full force catching their limits. Water temp still seems to be too cold mixed in with the high pressure. Still was nice to get out and enjoy the lake though. Tried drop shot, jigs, shaky head, and even crank baits.
City: LodiTips: Either trout fish...or wait till the water hits about 60+ degrees.

Black Butte Lake
-
Water Temp: 50 - 55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Great weather but terrible bite. Water was very muddy (less than 1 foot visibility) and very low. We tried everything that rattled and could be fished slow. All dark color baits used (rattlin' crank baits and jig/pigs).
The low water level pushed fish down away from their typical structure so there weren't many pockets or structures to fish.
Fish started to jump late afternoon as the weather was warm today but we couldn't catch one with spinnerbaits or sammy's. Visibility was just too dirty.
Tried dropshotting senko's and trick worms (multiple darker colors) and still no luck.
Can't wait for warmer weather and clearer water. This lake looks like a great largemouth spot.
City: OrlandTips: Don't fish muddy, cold water!

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 52-54
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Franks all day,With high pressure building the bite has toughened up tremendously.Flipped all day and managed five bites for about 17+0r- with a 7lb kicker all coming on black and red brush hog. The fish seemed to be near current sweeping through the tract and buried up, all my bites were back 2ft or further in the tules.
Tips: After you make your flip deadstick the bait for about 10 seconds 3 of the 5 bites came on the pause but a heavier weight for a fast sink rate to get their attention because they definatly were not in a positive feeding mood, two hrs without a bite then switched to the heavier weight and it made a difference.

Del Valle Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Mr. Kalihi Boy, thank you for responding and suggestions. I was thinking I should try berryessa first for crappie before I try del valle. I had pretty good luck there in the past. I'm a little surprized that the guy was using a drop shot rig with a mini jig. I guess thats one way to keep your jig at the depth that you want to fish, even for crappie. I wonder if the southshore is muddy from all that rain we had last week. Its probably very muddy and would be bad for trout fishing back there in the south shore. Its usually pretty good for trout, but it has to be fairly clear.

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 51-55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We had a non-typical Winter like day for our sixth Berryessa Pro Team Tournament, the air temperature was 60 degrees and the water temperature was 50-53 degrees with 1’-2’ visibility. After the huge Future Pro Tournament on Saturday, the teams reported that the fish were not chewing real good which resulted in a tough tournament for all. Thanks to the 16 teams for coming to Markley Cove for the March 27, 2011 Tournament, our smallest turnout for the year. Hopefully we’ll have a better turnout next tournament with the bite getting really good as the water warms up. Blast-Off was dry and chilly, and at the weigh-ins it was a little damp, thus making us retreat for cover and awards were done in the Markley Cove Store. The lake was hammered the day before which made the bite tough for most teams; still the top teams weighed some solid bags depite the pressured lake. The top teams managed to find some nice largemouth that moved up, fishing the breaks, creeks, and points in the main lake from 2’- 20’. The majority of the teams only got a few bites, even though there was a lot of nice 4# largemouth with a few large smallies brought to the scales. Some fish were caught with spinnerbaits; most fish came on jigs, senkos, and worms in the main body. Teams reported fish being caught in 0-25 feet of water, with the fish starting to move up and stage. I want to thank our sponsors: Centennial Batteries, Guns Fishing & Stuff, Alan Fong, Dobyns Rods, Tomat’s Restaurant, Oroville Outdoors, Don Sebastiani Winery, Kazoku Teriyaki & More, Markley Cove, and Winters True Value Hardware for supporting the 2010-2011 Berryessa Pro Team Trail! Third Place went to Dave Church (Sonoma) and Pete Micklus (Sonoma) weighing a solid 14.74# bag with a 6.58# kicker for the big fish honors. Fourth Place was John Maes (Roseville) and Gary Jones (Roseville)with a 14.24# bag. Again Thanks to all the teams for fishing the Berryessa Pro Team Circuit and another great tournament on Lake Berryessa!
