      Water Temp: 62.3 to 64.9

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Moved out to 18 to 30 feet of water and throw 1/2 oz football head jigs/green pumpkin barb wire with 5" inch single tail 208 yamamoto watermelon red/black as your trailer. That was the ticket sunday for us. The bass range from 1 1/2 to 4 pounds putting a pattern together here is simple this time of year at the lake. Brushogs we also work in watermelon red/blk flake.

Tips: I make long cast using my flipping stick and bump the bottom all the way back to the boat never losing contact with the bottom. There not shy about about picking up a 1/2 oz jig at all.East side of the lake was holding the better fish.

      Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: launched at Markley Cove with and old timer from town, started fishing the narrow around 830 am. The old man started drop shoting and I went with a jig and a small tube. It took about 1 hour before we started getting a good bite. Most of fish were not deep this time, they were real shallow. They were real spooky and most of the time only snap at the bait. We got over 40 bite and our combined 5 best fish would give us over 15 Lb. He had two spotted bass 3+ pound er and had a 4+ smallie (biggest one I ever caught). The keys today were to let the wind drift you to the back of the cove, only fish the real rocky one( the hot spot are where the rock end and the mud begins). I'm not sure why but the big fish were mixed in with the little guy today. The old man had never caught spotted bass and was real impressed by the fight, he also learned not to
      City: Rio Vista

Tips: When things get slow change color, and then the type of bait. today the loud colors were the key not the naturals. Alway use wind as a tool. Good luck and be safe.

Report: Started at 11AM. First bass on a spinnerbait in 10' of water in back of cove. Wind kicked up and started throwing ZaraSpook. Had couple topwater hits in coves and points. Saw baitfish headed toward back of coves. Had a hit on crankbait in cove. Drop shot is usually good to me, but not today.
Bass Club Tournament out of Markley Cove. Shure would like to known how they did, what they used and where they used it.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Keep fishing. That lunker is out there!

Report: I fished this weekend at The future pro classic the fishing was not steller but there was plenty to be caught my best fish came first thing in the morning on a frog (snag proof) over a five foot deep hump it was a 4.12 spot the rest of the fish came out of 12 feet of water they were buried in the grass piles that are all over the lake drop shots and small 1/4 ounce jigs in dark colors caught em just through your drop shot right into the grass shake it then go to the next one this pattern got us 11.25 at the tourney for eleventh on the first day.

      Water Temp: 58-65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I fished up north the first part of the week and down south the end of the week catching good quality fish in both areas, I averaged 12 or more fish a day and most were 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 pounds with a couple larger ones.

There are still lots of good weed beds up north but hardly any in the the areas I fished in the south end.

I had to cover a fair amount of water to find the feeding fish but once located they were easy to catch.

Caught fish on Swim Baits, Jigs, Spoons, Tubes, and Worms. I had to change up the baits to keep the schools biting.

A couple weeks ago I did well on top water and rip baits but this week it didn't work for me.

Not much has changed since the Triton Owners Tournament where we had a top 10 finish, but for me the bite is better in the south than it was a few weeks back.

In the north end I fish the thick weeds and weed pockets with the Hippo Tackle swim bait rigged weedless, on the edges of the weed beds I fish the osprey, both on 15lb McCoy Floro100.
In the south end the biggest fish ate the spoon and the best bait for numbers was the Jig. My favorite jig this time of year is the Persuader 1/2oz football in purple/brown.

For such a big lake it is fishing very small, for me it is all about finding a few good spots and throughly fishing them a few times throughout the day.
      City: Clear Lake

Tips: Cover water until you find feeding fish or see them on the graph, spend some time with them, if they dont bite check back throughout the day.

This time of year knowing how to read your graph will really pay off, A few times this week I would see them and then drop down the bait and catch them.

Report: Well dont post like I used to but got there about 6:30 and started out by the South Island and worked towards 33 with a Jerkbait and Rat-L-Trap and nothing at all. Then fished around 33 and there was no moveing water so I ran back and fished the area around the ramp.Ended up catching six fish two on a Jerkbait and the rest on a Trap. Then a breeze came up and within 15 minutes I was of the water with about 30
mph winds.I was on the Forebay.

Tips: I think the bite is just starting and it should get better for reaction now because it was still warm over there for November.

Report: And friend and I hit Bullards last Fri for a few hours to see what was going on (if anything!) after the brutal cold front and a little snow. Well, there wasn't much going on. My buddy had several bites and landed 5, but none were over 13 inches. He was drop-shotting most of the time. I got one or two bites on swimbaits out of a hundred or so casts - but one was a 4 lb 11 oz spotted bass. She hit under the boat as I was about to bring the bait in. Usually we lose fish that hit under the boat, but when they "eat" the bait - no problem! She was about 35 feet deep.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: We covered a lot of water with the same results - almost nothing. Even the small fish were about 40 feet deep. Saw some good structure fish but couldn't get them to go.

Report: Sorry about the bitching guys. Its just that I was so close to the marina, and I know I should of hooked up the running lights. I must have lauched 100 times from that marina. I was fishing that tully Island just in front of big break. Its not like I ran a long way in the dark. It was so close! Not even a quater mile from lauch ramp. I know I broke the law and I should of hooked up the lights. Its a little too hard to swallow to have pay a big fine for that mistake. It was just starting to get dark too. I will only report fishing report from now on. If anyone is interested, me and my partner was fishing for stripers that day and we did fairly. Try spooning in the channel near flats. Swim baits worked well too. Fish were anywhere from 5'-25'ft. Any shad pattern spoon worked. Our other friends got in to some good size stripers jigging spoons. They got buch of fish over 8 lbs. Good luck to all the fisherman! Don't be lazy like me, its not worth getting a ticket. Use your lights. I'm a example what not to do or say. Be safe out there!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Beautiful fall day on the lake with my wife Teresa. Haven't fished lake Mendo. for 3+ weeks. Got a late start (10:45 am) took some time to find the fish. Caught only four. Found hundreds of fish @ 40 ft. of water along with tons of bait fish. These fish were closed lipped.-------------
Got some ideas for next time out. ---- I think they are stripers.
      City: Ukiah, CA.

Tips: The small mouth and large mouth bite is pretty good. Speed traps, rattle traps and blue / orange belly crank baits are working for me. Don't foget to throw the lizards and senkos slow dragg'in.

Report: Dropped the trolling motor at the ramp and tried a spook until I got to the 5mph bouy. Then hit skiers cove with the spook and between the two spots I caught 3 bass. Graph bait fish in the back of coves though out the day. Tried spoon fishing for those fish and missed all hits. My most productive fishing came when I tied on a 6in roboworm(green w/pink tail) and fished down tree's that were near the main body of lake. I caught 6 bass all in the trees.

Report: Took a friend fishing in the morning to check out the bite we didn't have a lot of luck but the conditions were perfect cloudy, breezy, and just a touch of a chill thats the best part of this report we did get a couple fish just before noon on morning dawn robos one was a three pound largie the other was 7 inches.
      City: grass valley

Tips: The lake has a lot of water and there is plenty of good structure but the bite wasn't great it should get better the fish we did catch were both spitting shad so that was a good sign maybe the afternoon bite is better.

Report: Fish are still biting - not as hard as previous weeks. Watch for the light ticks on the line - or you will miss bites. Worms, Grubs, drop shot all worked well... some fish shallow, some fish in 20-28 feet. Nothing Huge this time out, best fish 3lbs. We caught 9 bass and 7 crappie. 3 of those crappie were HORSES! 2lbs or better. Fought like bass (and hit like bass - pounded the dropshot)
      City: Pacific Grove

Tips: Release! We are catching more fish with jacked up mouths... please be careful and don't RIP those gammies out. I caught yet another nice fish with a broken ripped up jaw. W-T-F??

Report: Fished under rainy skies and no one on the lake. Caught 10 large mouth all on shallow running crank bait along weed lines. Tried top water, drop shot and worm but not a bite. The weather was perfect for shallow reaction baits.
      City: Foster City

Tips: This time of year start with reaction baits and locate fish. Cover a lot of water and fish shallow.

      Water Temp: 64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I went to Collins yesterday afternoon to see how the fall bite was. There was a lot of weather changes in the few hours I was there - sun, clouds, rain, stiff breeze. I did find some bass feeding on shad - west side of the lake - and caught 2 on a Blade Runner black shad spoon. I did start with a real nice spotted bass over three pounds that hit my Blade Runner jig. As she came up, she spit up 5 or 6 shad. One was huge!! So, they are starting their fall feed. I caught another nice one on a jig just before dark. Most of the bait seems to be at 35 to 60 feet. I tried topwater without much confidence - and that was the case - not happening yet. All my fish were caught on steep banks.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: I hope this was the beginning of the late-fall - winter jig bite. Fishing should get better week by week for the next several weeks. The lake has much more water than at this time last year, so folks will have to hunt a little harder to find off-shore bass.
