Report: Lake is still brutal, I talked to an employee that said they did not bluestone it but rather used peroxide. I had never heard of that before but he said that it was cheaper than bluestoneing. I guess they thought they needed they're new $60.000 patrol boat that never leaves the dock with the other 2 patrol boats and forgot they might need to bluestone. Sorry if it seems like a negative post but the fishing has been terrible and I call em like I see em.

Report: Topwater has picked up for me and have been catching them on spooks, frogs and DDT buzzbaits.Jigs and the lv500 are also working Spinnerbaits around the silversides. Caught fish to 6 pounds on 9/30/2010
      City: Lakeport

Tips: move around till you find fish willing to bite

      Water Temp: 72-77

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: It's about to bust. Heat had the fish down a little deeper - magic depth was 20 to 30 feet. Deeper water near shallower water was ticket. Plastic bite was decent, topwater was great early and late for bigger fish. Brush hogs, worms, senkos all worked well. Weightless was better. Fish were so agressive after they were hooked, but the bites were gentle.
      City: Pacific Grove

Tips: Watch your line. I missed a few not paying attention. OFten, you would see 'tick' in line but not feel anything. Catch - photo - release. Caught many 2-3 lb fish, one nice 5-1/2lb fish. Quality over quantity now unless you fish shallow...you'll catch dinks all day. Should bust wide open in another few weeks till early November or super cold nights.

      Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: We got out late about 6:00 pm. Dan caught one early on and then it died for about 3 hours. About 9:00 it opened up and we caught about 15 fish mostly on cb's. a couple on shaky heads one on a spook. Only 1 small fish (2#).
Three fish were right at #6 each, and we had a few #5 fish. Close to a 28 pound limit for the evening.
      City: auburn

Tips: slow rolling a dark CB in skinny water seemed to work best tonight. Only 2 fish hit topwater tonight and one of those was a bluegill about 2 inches that hit a spook.

Report: Tule Kid. You are disrespectful. It is not all about putting in money or being the best. It is about putting in effort or just having a good time out on the water no matter who you are or your skill level. BTW I dont have anywhere near top of the line gear but i appreciate the sport of fishing just as much as the next guy.

Tips: Rattletrap, and senkos are what caught me some medium size bass and stripers. Also the spook caught me a little one. Top Water is always fun. Good Luck!

Report: Sorry I spelled my thread name wrong and I just gave ole Bassbully a slight jester to wind him up a bit. I know he tries hard and someday will make it. Sorry BB. Went to Beaver today and did pretty good with white flukes and frogs. As water lowered I punched the outer grass edges for some more.
      City: Stockton

Tips: Ten pound test for reaction flukes, 65 braid for frogs and punch.

Report: Just so you know, I'm not hatin on anyone. I have fished here for a long time and know you don't just show up, make a few casts and land 5-10 pounders every day no matter how avid you are. Sounds a little fishy to me. Seems like you guys should be fishing tournaments not Spring Lake.

Report: Fished inside Big Break from 9 am til 11 for nothing. The water was skinny, but I wanted to try to get something on top. Frog-0 Popper-0, then went to Sherman Lake and tried the same, for same results. Guess I need to get up earlier, oh well always fun to be on the water

Tips: Don't ask me I got stinky

Report: Delta was tough over the weekend but we were able to get a few using spinnerbaits shallow.

Tips: Keep moving and be persistent. TueKid - Go back to school so you can learn how to write and spell!

      Water Temp: Water Temp. 70-

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The bite has been much better this last week, over the weekend on a 1/2 day guide trip we had close to 20 fish and the best 5 went around 20 pounds. Fun fishing I had some good limits without having to run around much work to hard. With warm weather cool nights and not much wind the fishing has been great.

With the bait fish everywhere it takes some time to find the fish that are willing to bite but when you find them they are easy to catch.

We fished mostly swim baits and worms. Hippo Swimbaits, Frogs, Persuader Football Head Jigs, and Worms will all catch fish now.
      City: Clear Lake

Tips: Tips: Try the rocky areas close to deeper water and docks, some docks were better than others. Fish the swim baits around cover and throw the frog in the heat of the day.
Best colors for the Jig, brown/purple, swim bait colors, Hitch/Shad, and the best worm color was green pumpkin.

      Have fun ! .........StevePerkinsFishing.com

Report: Launched at New Hope and went straight to Mokulemne by B&W; incoming tide. Worked tules and outside weedbeds with red lipless cranks and speed trap. picked up numerous dinks and a few 1.5 - 2lbers. Brother picked up a few on senko, beaver, and rattletraps. went back to sycamore and beaver slough...zip on low-tide. passed up hog slough and saw report that it was good.
      City: folsom, ca

Tips: not much to offer...just tried different things and as tide went back out, worked outside edges of weedlines to pick up a few more. used stop/pause/go retrieve with the speedtrap to pick up the 1&2-lbers.
... just my report. good fishin' everyone!

Tips: Baby bass colored plastics. The best top-water lure for me was "The One".

Report: I'm fed up! A few days after the first trout plant started going, went about 6 times since. been fishing for them all month long it seems. Powerbait, nightcrawlers, marshmallows, u name it. No bites, no nothing, just very long dissapointing days and nights. Fished for catfish a little as well (during evening) and still nothing..Maybe the water is still too warm, I dont know what that guy below me was talking about. His friend caught a single trout one evening? Bullcrap. All the times ive been out there for at least 11 to 12 hours without a single bite as of yet. Hopefully it picks up.
