      Water Temp: who knows

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Guys, I'm with you, but I can tell you your wasting your time. I have complained to the water district three times. I've suggested self inspections with bond posted. I've suggested they alternate the inspection station at Stevens Creek between Lexington and SC in order to address the budget issues, and I've questioned the fact that the rowing club gets special priveledges because they pay them a ton of money in "special use fees" as being illegal (which I truely think it is). BTW, check out the water district's web site about special permits--its totally obvious the language in the rules was written by the rowing club's lawyers. All of this, and I have not received even the courtesy of a response, even though their web site promises one within 1 week. Bottom line, its the rowing clubs private lake because they pay for it to be that way.
      City: Palo Alto

Tips: Find a way to make money off of quagga mussels--the state would then be all for them spreading!!!

      Water Temp: --

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I agree with the last poster. This is absolute BS that we can no longer use this lake. Why can't they set up something like at Clear Lake where they have a local fire department or some thing do the inspections and state that if you get caught without a sticker, it will be some huge fine. At least I could use the lake again.
Hell, I would be willing to pay a fee of say $15 to get in if it payed for someone to do the inspection and it got me back on this lake with my boat.
      City: ben Lomond

Tips: Call the Santa Clara county park depatment and complain about Lexington being closed.

      Water Temp: 68-71

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: What a great day! Fishing was pretty good all day with 7 keepers out of 20+ fish caught. All but one of the keepers came from submerged vegetation in the backs of coves on a 5" Senko in Baby Bass color. The big one of the bunch went 3.8lbs. The other from a small (2") flat sided shallow running crankbait pulled over vegetation. These two baits caught all fish boated today. Be cautious of all the debris in the water!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Fish vegetation or timber in fairly shallow water (5-15ft). The Senko was fished slow while the crankbait was burned throught the water. I did not try deep structure so can't say anything about that.

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fantastic morning!!! Took my 8 year old son with me and put in at B&W. My second time on the delta and only my 5th time fishing from my boat (first boat too by the way). Planned on getting on the water at 530, HAHA, rolled outta the dock at 715. Third cast, had a big bright white fish, probably striper maybe salmon, hit my chartuse and yellow rattle bait but didn

Tips: Be patient...with the fish and your kids.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Drop shot the submerged rock piles in the main lake, or drop a wacky rigged senko. This time of year you can also crank on island points, throw wacky rig senko

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Aggresive strikes = spawning behavior? Feeding behavior? Tough to summarize what the bass were doing this last weekend. It's not worth mentioning how many or what I caught fish with, cause the bottom line is the fishing was the worst I've ever seen in the month of June and it doesn't say anything about what will work for folks wanting to fish clear lake in the next week. I promised my cousin she'd catch a bass and I didn't happen. Very bummed about that.
      City: Fort Bragg

Tips: I think Mr. Hemphill had the right idea to fish deeper, it's just tough to do without electronics or without lots of experience on the lake.

      Water Temp: 55-65 F

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Been fishing the lake all along. Last 2 weeks, caught alot of fish on crankbaits, with a few on texas rigged worms, when we got bored. Bite is good in the am and pm, but best in the pm. Fish are scattered but can be found focused on points and near willows. A surprisng amount of small mouth are showing up. Yeh for the smallies. Fish are showing ragged tails and bloody buts, so we are well into the spawn. Water temps are optimum for spawning.
      City: Redding

Tips: Good Luck. A slow beginning does not mean you will not get on to them. Keep trying, and you will be there when they choose to bite!!

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Papoose is holding lots of big fish off walls. Drop shot or darter slow!!!
      City: Red Bluff

Tips: Cast it out and let it sit. When you think you've let it sit long enough, wait longer.

      Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished south area the whole day. Launched out of Tracy Oasis caught 14 fish on various color Trick Worms. Two were caught on the Sweet Beaver. Nothing on cranks or spinner baits. Fish were around 8-12ft deep.
      City: Tracy, CA

Tips: Use watermelon red, junebug, and green pumpkin colors. Texas rig 3/4oz weight. Watch your line the fish are sucking in the bait and just move a little so the strike is hard to feel. Look for moving water the fish are very active on the main channels.

      Water Temp: 68-71

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: We arrived Sat. afternoon the 5th and fished through Friday the 11th. We hit it hard everyday from 5-6am to 7-8pm everyday. On the first 4 days we averaged around 20 fish a day with a 5lb 6oz and a 5lb 0oz the largest. On Wednesday a cold front was coming in and we caught 30 for the day mostly on a 1/4oz jig from North Lakeport to Rodman slough. Lots of fish on beds up there but size was 2 1/2lbs to 3 lbs. After it got down to 45 degrees Wed. night the temp dropped 8 degrees and it got tough. We tried up north again and the water was cloudy and we caught a couple. We ended up with 9 for the day and Friday 10 for the day. Overall the fishing was tough for Clear Lake but we have been spoiled over the years. It is still a great fishery.
      City: Winston, Oregon

Tips: Throw a Frog and grind it out for 8-10 fish a day. The frog was catching all the larger ones for us. Also throw a small fineese jig around beds and docks.

      Water Temp: 67-72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Wow! 70 degree water - finally!! I took a father-son team today (Sat), helping dad learn the lake better for upcoming tournaments and helping the son catch his first - and second sight fish! Dad caught 5, son 2, and me, 2. While they were fishing Senkos, jigs, Robo worms and the like, I had a chance to see if any deep bass would bite on a Piranha Swim Jig - white/chartreuse. Sure enough, I brought one up from about 40 feet - a nice 5 to 6 pounder. She jumped and it was over! Dad and I both lost 2 or 3 other deep fish on the Piranha. Hooks was fine - just one of those days!! Most of their bass were caught on a white Blade Runner jig w/ chartreuse Yamamoto grub. Our best bite was from 10 am to noon - including our big bites.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Still lots of spawning going on, but most seem to be smaller now. Hard to find edges of weeds now - pretty thick everywhere. I also tried to see if the topwater bite might happen a little. Nothing yet for my boat.

Report: Inlet creeks were muddy but other areas clear. Frog bite yielded a fiver and a sixer black with another missing the toilet flush.Only one fish under three pounds(smallie. Mostly blacks and an occassional spot. Fish were in terrible shape except for the two larger ones. Left at 1 pm.

Tips: Carolina, dart, senko, chatter, spook, frog. Apply those lures to their presentation. Worked all over the South and Main Body. (Did not fish trees). Good fishing, Jimbazooka quality

I used two bags of them!Caught my limit early was home by 3p.m. Small ones first then bigger and bigger.5 bass went 26lbs. Water Temp: 67 -75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Saturday 6/5/10, l fished from the front (my boat). In the morning, we fished the Dry Creek branch where the water temperature was 67 - 69

Tips: Look for cooler water. It appeared that the bite was better in water cooler than 70

      Water Temp: 56-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: To answer the question in the previous post about the ramp at Fairview, by the dam, I was there Saturday the 5th and there is only about 3ft. of concrete in the water and the end of the ramp drops off vertically about 16 inches, so it's not usable yet. The lake is rising at the rate of about a foot per day, so it shouldn't be long before it is usable, especially if the weather stays warm and the snow continues to melt. For now suggest that you use the Minersville ramp. Slow day for me with lots of small fish, but nothing bigger than 2lbs. caught most of them on tubes.
