      Report: Toaday I was on a walk around the lake on the conn valley side and noticed the bass are starting to bed up. This has been happening for a few weeks now. There were a few pairs stuck together like glue and very aggresive towards intrusive baits laying in there beds. So this is more of an update of the way fish behave. I did stick a few bass.

      Report: Launched out of LazyM 8am and had 16lbs of frog fish by 9. Frog bite died after that. Don't know if it was the wind that picked up, or the morning topwater bite was finished. Either way it was good to see them aggressively eating the white phat frog. The rest of the day was ho-hum.

      Tips: Bring your grass frog rod. They were 30-40ft back in the thick grass and a chore to get out. Only lost one (the first one) coming off halfway to the boat.

      Report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s IN ORANGE AND BLACK STRIPES TIE ONE ON AND REEL SLOW DOWN THE BANKS AND RIP IT OUT OF WEEDS...GREAT DAY SAW 2 BOATS ALL DAY.

      Tips: POUND THE BANKS THERE ARE A LOT OF FISH THERE NOW..SLOW ROLL SPINNERBAITS OVER LOGS AND AROUND TREES AND STUMPS..THROW SENKOS ANY WHERE.THE WATER IS A LITTLE COLORED SO DONT FORGET THE SMELLY JELLY OR BANG.YOU CANT MISS RIGHT NOW..GET OUT AND GET EMMMMMMMMMM...

      Report: toss spinner,swim bait 4/6/8", jig,n wake bait but no taker. I did wat Matt S did n got bite. Just read Matt's report n notice my bite was the same but with different worm. Tried Aaron magic n a few other worm but no bite. Til I change to the right one n bite was on. Got there a little late n met up with a lot of boat traffic . That made the bite a little tough but once traffic dies down it was on.I had other boat cut infront of my path b4 but today i had a guy on the bank walk in front of my path n toss his lure in front of me. I guess he didn't see my 8 inches swim bait..haha

      Tips: spot that had a lot of moss didn't produce for me. Weeds was the key n points that had kind of a slow tapper(fish was sitting on the drop off). fish was in 5-10 ft of water. Try different worm til u get one. Bite is much noticeable. I had a few fish tick tick me twice n three times cuz i wasn't sure it was a fish or sinker dragging again the rock or snagging on weeds

      Report: If you have the chance to get out this is the place to be right now. The spots are big and fat and easy to catch. The junior Bass Club spent the day on this great water fishing for those big fat SPOTS. Most of the bass were found in the back of coves when you find the water falls. Using a darter head, worm and some time. They found big bags upto 16 plus pounds for five fish.Find the time right now and enjoy the day.

      Report: Launched out of B&W Went out with a good friend Water in the mokullume river was chochlate brown Threw some blades with no success , Senko , and cranks Water was 53 deg I am guessing From snow melt it was still cold. so we decided to go to south delta water was really nice and clear and temp was at 58.9 deg we fish around little mandeville bacon island .Threw swim baits, Senkos,blades ,cranks. Only to boat a 2-lber on senko texas stle . Weather was nice saw lots of birds and a spectacular sunrise. Going to wait a couple of weeks for some nicer weather . got a cold front coming in this week. Tight lines to all cya on the water PLASTICMAN1

      Report: Went out with Wifey for the first time this year.

      After dealing with the usual first of the year stuff(Battery issues water pump issues); We started out fishing around the launch area.

      I succombed to the first cast first fish curse. I caught a small Spotted on my first cast using a Stacy 90 Rip Bait. Only managed 2 more small ones.

      Wifey caught one in the Bear Arm in the Afternoon.

      Overall it was a great time. I got to see Wifey fishing in her bikini!!

      Report: Fished the rattlesnake area last week with marginal success. The size was good but the numbers were low. Averaged about 5-8 fish per day. The largest was a beautiful 8.2 female full of eggs...next was a 7.0 with the rest in the 3-5 lb. range...nothing under 3. Most successful bait was the senko (color didn't matter), white spinnerbait, and a jig. Almost all fish came in water 4' or less right off the bank.

      Report: fished the south end of the lake( keys, and rattlesnake couple others for nothing. Loaded up the boat took a ten min drive to the north launch.Fished from rodman, and a little creek by long tule all over really. threw spinner and chatter bait and senkos, with senkos being our only luck.Me and my partner landed 14 fish in 12 feet or less of water. best fish was about 5 lbs none were smaller than 3 lbs.

      Tips: Fish slow let your senko sit on the bottom for a couple seconds before you pull it in alot were suckin them off the bottom

      Report: Dad and I got three bites we know of, but only one in the boat. Bite was very light for us. Drop shotting various colors. Clear with black flake & chartreuse tip was the winner today. I'm sure others did better. Water temperatures are rising. Varied from 58 to 61 today in main body and up in N. Fork. Saw lots of fish (carp and small mouth). The water is definately rising as we launched from Granite Bay's mid water docks. Water is clear. Good Luck.

      Report: Me and my friends caught a total of 9 Rainbows largest being 2 1/2 lbs. Friend caught a 2 lb. Thunder Trout which put up a good fight for a fish its size. Person next to us caught a 7 1/2 lb. Rainbow and another caught an 11lb. 2oz. rainbow off a Rapala as well as a 7lb. Thunder Trout.

      Report: better in the afternoon spinnerbugs #1 deal greenshad or chart and white booyah in the trees bushehes or iso floatin wood sawsome activity spots eatin frogs soon as the frog jumps in two turns of the handle fish on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      Report: After I launched at Markley with my 2 clients at 10 am and hit the main body, I realized I made a terrible mistake. I had to be at Clear Lake - because the water was green!! The guys convinced me I was at the right lake - so all was well! I knew they were right when their first bass was a spot! We fished all over the west side of the lake and the narrows with fair results, though they did catch a few quality bass including an 18" smallie for one (green pumpkin brush hog) and a 3 1/4 lb largemouth for the other. They caught 6 or 7 while I was trying several techniques which produced only 1 - a largemouth at 2 3/4 lbs. They probably missed 7 or 8 bites. My largie and his big largie were caught on red shad Robo worms and a few others were hooked on red also. Interesting. Most of their fish were hooked in the top 10 feet and, as the previous poster said, success was in the clearer water - if we could find it! It got pretty cloudy in the afternoon - preventing a nice warmup. I tried some topwater just to see if it was happening - nothing! Overall, a slower day than I expected. I thought the early evening bite would be better, but it wasn't. That is why we started later. Most of their action was between 2 and 4 pm. Saw lots of bass boats - most were running from spot to spot.

      Tips: As usual, the scenery was wonderful at Greenberry Lake (I renamed it!), especially in the narrows. Though the clouds didn't help the bite, they added to a beautiful outdoor picture! It certainly was weird to fish while watching heavy machinery tearing down Berryessa Marina. Sad.

      Report: Took Friday off from work . B&W at 5:45 am Right out the launching ramp Saw fish boiling from stripers . Chased them around for a hour Threw shad crank baits at them boated 7 small schoolies Was a lot of funEven my wife was hooking up .Until seal showed up around the bridge. Took off from there Was throwing Bill Dance top water pop- r .Had a 7 lber taker me and my wife saw the classic strike was picture perfect. Landed took pic and released caught several 2 and 3 lbers in mokolemme river water was 55 deg .Picked up and went to franks tract. noticed a lot of boats . alot of pressure over ther so decided to hang around to boat 2 more 2lbers and 1, 4lber . Used sweet beavers over at franks tract water there was 59 deg. picked up went to prisoners pt . picked up couple of dinks on senko and crank bait. Most fish were caught on rapala 2" shad rap . Fished Herman and helens ferry throwing shad rap along weed line 20 ft out from shore throwing paraell to bank picked up several more nice fish . picked up went to white slough with no takers . moved up to tower park bridge and picked up a 5 lber around west footing on crank bait. Boated about 20 fish including stripers had a great day Missed a large fish early in the am when I was throwing top water, will go back next weekend off the water at 4:00pm. tried fly rod around areas with no takers. tight lines to all. took lots of picks but for some reasonmy comp wont let me up load them if you want to see pics will send to e mails Tight lines to all PLASTICMAN1

      Report: On the water around 8 started ripping with no bite so switched up to red craw lipless and managed one 2# spot. The rest of the day the fish fell to senko's. Total fish around 15-20 with at least that in missed bites. A friend of mine and his partner caught 20-35 a piece.

      Report: No reports in April - for 7 or 8 days? I was supposed to guide 2 senior citizens from the mid-west for 3 days earlier in the week, but we only got in about 10 hours Mon and Tues and the bite was real slow. They missed a few and one of them got a nice 3 1/2 pounder Monday afternoon before the cold rain set in again and Tues started off with pretty good weather before rain and wind shortened the trip. The same fellow landed another bass and missed one or two. The other client used lures he brought including Mepp's spinners and small crankbaits. I wish they had worked! We fished in the narrows area - was too cold to boat too far. It was in the 80's when they left their home - and 40's to low 50's at Clear Lake. Sad!

      Tips: Not too much to say. All bites were on jigs, beavers, and small brush hogs - in 5 to 10 feet of water.

      Report: Huh, kinda thought you'd be callin me a coward for not showing up by now??? Maybe you realized how retarded it is trying to call someone out on a public forum...... especially with your stance or maybe you realized just how lucky you are to still be able to fish this resource with which you still feel the right to pillage. Anyhow, I'm glad we live in a free country where you can do something totally contrary to being a westernbass member and I can continue to call you out and make you look like idiot. hope you got skunked today.... or someone took the fish outta your hands and released it.

      Report: Reading all this stuff makes me not even want to try out CL. I have a buddy that goes there and he always manages to catch a few fish. He's C&R only, but listen guys, There will always be people that take fish to eat regardless of what lake you fish. Let them get mercury poisoning! They won't be fishing for long! You don't have to resort to violence, fishing is supposed to be relaxing!

      Report: Fished a half day mostly south end. The lake is in great shape,it's as full as I have ever seen it, good water color and lots structure to fish.Saw a lot of fry back there,so some fish have spawned. There was a front that moved through today that may have moved the fish off. Did manage to get 5 bites 2-3 lb., flippin' a brush hog way back in the tules.
