Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: For the future for those who don't know. The middle ramp at Granite has been expanded to 6 lanes. This should help in the Spring and the Fall. Recently a lot of bass in the 4lb to 5lb
range are being caught.

Lexington Lake
-
Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The date is off as 2011 wasnt an available choice.
Got my first fish of the year while practicing some swimbait techniques. I actually lost my swimbait and switched to a black Strike King Pro Model jig with a #1 Uncle Josh pork frog trailer. Found the deepest water I could find on foot and let my jig fall at least 20 feet. By my fourth cast I hooked into a good 6 pounder!
Lexington has always produced even as it recovers from the past couple years when there was virtually no water in it.
City: San JoseTips: Fish slow with jigs and plastics

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: First time ever on Berryessa and really enjoyed the day compared to recents days on the Delta. Launched at Markley and fished primarily from the Dam north on the north side. I only got one but my buddy got 9 - all spotted bass. The boat was in 50' of water and fish were caught in about 40'. Most fish caught on drop shot and one on darter head. Also tried ripping, spoons and jigs with no bites.
Tips: Hit boths sides of the points. Most fish were caught on a sexy shad roboworm which worked in the heavy fog (low light) and sunshine.

Sonoma Lake
-
Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: started around 10:30, headed over near the dam where there e some trees, and fished a rattletrap, a few colored senkos, and different roboworms, all with no takers. then we moved down the lake, stopping every so often where there was a fair amount of trees, fishing the same lures and worms, because i had heard that they were working for some poeple. still with no takers.we made it just about to yorty creek, still without a single taker! tough day, but still better than work! fish seened to be holding around 40 feet
City: Rohnert ParkTips: dont take tips from me!!!!! idk what to use, fishing is slow.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Union Point, Victoria & around Coney. Couple of stripers followed but no hookups. Cloud cover so I was hopeful. Water was like glass. Fished ripbaits & big hammer swimtails.

Camanche Lake
-
Water Temp: 51
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A friend and I dropped lines around 8am and we were hooking into fish all day long. We hit the jackpot when we found some kind of large cover ( might of been a large tree) in 50 feet of water, on an old roadbed. My first large-mouth of the year was a picture perfect 4lb+ large-mouth, with a belly full of shad. My rods are rigged with 8 lb line that kept getting broke off by either the power of the fish or the hard cover. Next time I'm taking some of my delta gear with me to horse some of these fish. Crank-baits, jigs, shakyheads and dropshots were all duds today. A simple 3 inch watermelon tube was the only producer. We worked upriver, the narrows and the China's.
City: Rio VistaTips: Give extra attention to large cover with bait fish over it. Have tubes in different colors, jigheads from 1/16 to 3/8 and stronger line for heavy cover.

Folsom Lake

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I just wanted to inform everyone that there is only one ramp available to launch your boat now. The Granite Bay low ramp is the only one that is out of water to date. The Browns Raven launch ramp has just closed recently. Current water level is at 379 ft, down 87 feet. Good luck and be safe. Lake is 5mph and will remain that way until it reaches 400feet, that is if we get any more rain.

Water Temp: cold
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: went out on my tube hoping to get bit on the big baits, well no bites on any of the big swimmies, but had a fish on the 2.5 bbz shad that was taking out drag and then came unbottoned.
dont know whatit was but it wasnt fighting like a trout or bass, just a slow steady pulling of my drag going diagonal to the shore.

Shasta Lake
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Noticed everyone is fishing deep. Anyone trying shallow water near deep water (breaks)? the 12/29 report stated the water temp was 49-50 is this average for this time of year or a little high? Whiskey town was at 47 and I was able to get a 4lb largemouth in 4 ft. of water. I agree more people whould post here especially for those of us not near the lake.
City: WeavervilleTips: anlgers are more willing to share info when catch and release is practiced. Put em back so we can catch them again. Be safe and have fun.

California Delta
-
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: the tournament director said that to avoid the problems of the pro not signing you up correctly or decieving the non boater. to sign up by yourself. i know what everybody will say. more people on a waiting list with more deposits and memberships being wasted. not a good moral or ethical way to run an organazation that operates on the local fisherman's memberships in my opionon
City: andersonTips: its good advise ,dont give your money to anyone you dont know, and keep your money local. it will help your community.sign up early or dont fish .they will cut the fees in half again and there will be twice as many people on waiting list.lol. just my opinion for those who dont have alot of money.

Oh, news to us was to stay in 15ft no more than 20ft. Learned too late. Shux.
