Report: First time back here since June. I didn't do as well as last time, I only caught two trout that were about 1.5 lbs off of white power eggs and a night crawler. I fished from about 1pm to 5 on the first dock on the east shore. I was tossin kastmasters and different types of small crank baits and I couldn't get them to bite off any lures.

Report: Sounds like somebody went to the lake and did some LICKING. Har. TOUGH TOUGH TOUGH bite. As Billy always says "THAT LAKE SUCKS". Har. D.B.COOPER
      City: Petaluma

Tips: Tacklewarehouse will be getting in some large shipments of this licking cream called THE CREAM. We will be selling it in the parking lot at Sonoma before the Redwood Empire christmas tournament starts, that way you will not have to wait in line. Just apply this stuff LIBERALLY after you come off the water. The pain will go away after a few days.

      Water Temp: 55-56

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: How many people across the country can complain that they only caught 3 1/2 to 4 pounders on a bass trip? Well, I'm complainin'!! Just kidding!!! I tried hard for a 20 lb limit but fell short by half a pound and couldn't even stick a big one. I fished myself out of Red Bud for 6 or 7 hours, checking out some areas. The bass seemed to be schooled a bit more - some area had nothing and others produced quite a few bass. I fished rock and ledges - didn't get any dock fish. Biggest was 4 lbs 6 oz and I did catch a few small 2 lbers. Several were 3 3/4 lbs - looked like clones. Cloud cover was good for awhile, cleared about 10 pm but didn't seem to slow the bite. 30 degrees when I left at midnight and no fog.
      City: Yuba city

Tips: I used Yamamoto Kreature baits, brush hogs, and two of the 3 biggest took a ChatterBait about 20 feet deep. One would think the bass would start to nail baits now as the water cools, but not for me. It is still a subtle pickup in my boat. I lost more bass than usual for some reason last night - they didn't seem real committed. I wound up with 18 bass. Same depth worked for me, 10 to 25 feet.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Did well out there tonight. RatLTraps all night. 9lb Strip, and seven Largies big went 5.11lb. Went home around 1am because of the sea lion. He was out there raising hell scarin` all the fish. Next time I'm going to bring me some fire crackers for his ass.

Tips: Burn the hell out of the Traps, caught a boat load of schoolies on a slack tide. Low tide= LM in around 8-18 feet. Go in a different direction from if you see that lion out there because he will mess up things for you for hours.

      Water Temp: ???

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went to the Folsom Lake Marina webpage for current water level and the lake is now sitting at 368 feet which is only 8 feet from being 100 feet below full capicity. All Ramps are Currently closed and out of water. I guess only those willing to take risks of launching their boats from land will be able to fish the lake. On the positive side once we do get rain and are able to fish the lake it should be pretty good. Merry Christmas to everyone and the happiest of holidays.
      City: EDH

Tips: Pray for rain---we really need water bad throughout all of California lakes.

      City: THA P

Tips: slow down your dropshot retrieve.

Report: Hey pat you were wondering what to throw at the boiling fish, try throwing flukes, swimbaits and ripbaits and try throwing zara spooks in white at them. I fish alot of striper fishing everywhere.Especially the delta, ocean beach in san francisco and the s.f. bay area.
      City: san mateo

Tips: Also you should carry rattle traps and hair raisers(white or chartruse) with a worm tail as a traler in 1/2 and 3/4 oz.. Trailer should be white or chartruse in 6 in. long. The worm tail has a little curl at the end. GOOD LUCK!

      Water Temp: 65-66

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Like Kelly, I found stingier conditions than the past weeks. Got on the water at 7am Saturday and headed through the fog patches to long valley area. Found 1 fish about 2lbs on the plastic 3rd cast. Hit several more spots on the west side for no more strikes. Metered alot of fish under bait at 40-50 feet some down around 80 feet. Got lazy about 10am and tied on a lavender shad DD-22, cranked up the stereo and started dragging them in 25-30 feet of water following the shore. Started catching fish almost instantly. Managed to nail 11 fish up to 3lbs every time I would cross over an exposed point. The crank would bounce the top of the point fillowed by a fish. Called it a day at about 1:30 with an even dozen.
      City: ElSegundo ca.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: you should go see bob at limit out bait and tackle and get the basstrix hollow body's they have great action. If there is wind look for good ambush points, retrieve fast enough so the tail is paddling nicely and work your spots thorough. Osprey's have been working well also but not for me this time. good luck, tight lines and happy holidays!
      City: clear lake oaks

      Water Temp: 56

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: the morning started slow with 2 fish coming on a fat free about 9 am... We picked up a couple stragglers throughout the day whenever a water skier would churn up the water, but it got good during the last hour and a half of daylight, fishing 15 ft. of water with dark jigs.
We caught almost 20 fish, or we caught the same 3.5 pound fish over and over again. they were all clones. No reaction bite at all today.
      City: auburn

Tips: The coontail grass, and other weeds seem to end when you hit about 12-14 of water. If you can follow that edge, the bass will come out of the grass and hammer your jig. the places that are deep and still close to shore are holding good fish.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: My cousin and I Launched the boat at centimude boat ramp and noticed that the shad were balled up all around us so we ended up chasing them around throwing white spinner baits and super spooks and did great, Most fish were quality size and the people from the bank were also doing good for rainbows, silvers, and bass.... Nows the time to hit it so have fun and good luck.
      City: Shasta Lake

Tips: I talked to a few guys on the bank taking frozen shad with a bobber about 4-5 ft and they were producing good fish also by throwng it into the balls of shad.
