      Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just a question really, will you still be able to launch a boat by the dam as the lake level drops ? We were there on Monday and would like to come back in a few weeks... the fishing was ok, we caught lots of little bass but also a few nice ones...
      City: Red Bluff

Tips: Fished dark colored tubes on heavier weights

Report: Fished up river from 7:00-10:30, throwing top water on the sunny points. Caught 8 bass. 5LM, 3SM. Big fish 5.2# LM. Another solid 2.4# LM on a Senko. Smallies were shaker size w/ 1, 14".

      Water Temp: 75-78

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: threw the frog for the full 6-10 a.m. period, got some blow ups skipping under trees in Arroyo, and 1 bite, but no froggy feesh. Behind the island in Island Pond where there was an amazing frog bite a month ago is trash now (at least for me). all the weed mats are gone, but if you flip it I'm sure something would turn up.
      City: P-town

Tips: I would recommend drop shotting, senkos, and flipping the weeds with heavier weights. The fish that went after me frog were in the backs of trees and were pretty much on the bank. I think I am done going to Shadow Cliffs for a while now

Water Temp: STPLL WARM UP T

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: The last couple of weekends I found that trolling for bass has been the most
productive. Early morning I like to troll in 8 to 10 feet with a minus lure that
dives about one foot and as the sun goes over head I go into deeper water
(20 to 30 feet) and use a deeper diving lure that goes 6 to 10 feet down. The
shallower lure closer to shore. While trolling on my son's pontoon boat with my
daughter-in-law (see photos) our score within an hour was three bass each.
I took our friend Terry and her two sons and daughter out for a couple of hours
on my boat (I have included a photo of my boat for those who have asked me
what kind of boat I use - a Lund fully loaded). We trolled and had a great day
catching bass with the kids (see photo). I spent one evening in my favorite cove
and I decided to only use a top water lure. Within an hour's time I had eight
nice size bass. Bad part of story is that I threw my favorite top water 'chugger'
into about two feet of water where I saw some activity and sure enough a fish
devoured the lure and dragged it to some bushes, my line snapped trying to reel
him in and alas the lure never surfaced. I waited for quite awhile and it never
did come up. I had that 'chugger' for at least twelve years and it caught me
a lot of nice bass even though I have another like it, it's just not the same.
      'til next week............................................good fishing!!!!!!!!!!!

Tips: ENJOY BERRYESSA DAY OR NIGHT FISHIG

    • By

      Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Wow I went camping for 5 days and it was dead on that water. No one caught anything first few days. There was a 7 1/4 lb in the morning on a night crawler and on my second to last day I caught some 5 pounders and one 3. mostly on robo's that I literally had to leave out there for 1 hour before a got a hit. Bass where full of shad and for good reason because the lake is filled with them. Use your loudest lures and buzz baits also use a strong attractant for that extra dirty water. I used scent on my girlfriends night crawler and she was catching perch when no one else was.
      City: OC

Tips: loud shad like baits. I used a chatter bait in shad color and scent with my worms. even started putting flukes on my buzz baits. TOP WATER is dead right now so hit them in the mid 10 to 20 feet of water weightless worms for a slow fall. If you can get a hold of some live shad that is the way to go but I did better with my slow buzz and chatter baits. Good luck!

Report: On the dock and ready to go at 6am Scott, Ed, and their sons Patrick and Sam packed into my boat and headed from Konocti Harbor to Anderson Island. The first hour of the day provided steady action. We caught around 10 fish on dropshots and spinnerbaits. As the sun got a little higher the bite slowed a bit, but we still managed to pick up a fish here and there. Fishing any outside weed lines in about 12 feet of water that were near rock piles seemed to be the most productive pattern that I could find. After meeting up with a friend at noon so that we could split up into 3 people per boat, we spent the rest of the day fishing around the narrows. The wind kicked up a bit and we caught a few more fish on blades and shad colored crankbaits. The total count for the day was around 25 fish with the biggest going only 3.5 pounds. On Sunday we fished from Pirates Cove to Red Bud Park. Throwing frogs and poppers in the morning, we had a few blow up

      Water Temp: Warm:)

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I just went to Del Valle to test my 1975 open bow family boat that I put a new steering wheel and steering cable assemby in and of course while I was there I tried the bass and it was slow for me but I did not start until 12:00 so I missed the AM bite, got one 2lber on a watermellon candy 6 inch worm drop shotting in about 2.5 hrs and said OK let see if we can get some trout and got 4 to 18 inches on rainbow power bait, Hey I am a bass fisherman but some times you got to do what you got to do to keep the boy happy.
      City: San Jose

Tips: I would try the south end with senkos and top water early, the water is a little more stained in the south end and fish should not be as skidish, the north end where I fished you could see 8-12 feet down, look like lake Mead, OK lake Mead you can see down 20-30:)To bad you have to be off the water by 7:00 pm because I bet a popper would kill them in coves at dusk. Spoke to a guy that could not launch his Ranger bass boat because it had little water in the live well, if you are not bone dry you will not get on the lake unless you have a band they give you connected to your trailor and boat, He fished from the bank by the docks and got one bass there so you can catch bass from the bank:)

Report: Well the fishing has been good! On sun, the rangers were out @ noon when i got there so stayed in the main lake and dropshoted 10 fish up to 3.5lbs on the main channal drop off in 26ft-44ft then went shallow white on white blades for 6 more with one over 6lbs on rock piles just inside bays in 8-12ft.Mon, went noth and had my bet day in months with 20+ fish and three over 4lbs all on blades white on white.Tuse, same as mon bite without the large fish so i tryed wakey rigging for the first time in open water and it payed off with a 5lbr and lots of rats.Thrs, got the girl friend out to catch some blade fish and she did great with 5 fish for 9lbs not bad i spent my time teaching and back seat driving .She learnd baitcasters and the tm that day and cought limit in a bikini!!! Im in love .
      City: roseville

Tips: Look for spots with isolated bolders with deep water on one side and not the other and slow roll blades or cb also.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: winds started early and picked up heavily after 10am. Made fishing tough from a pontoon tube as I was getting blown all over. Managed 3 fish while fighting the unusual morning wind gusts. Found the fish deeper today relating to rocky bottoms.

Tips: only 5 boats at Anderson today? Very weird day indeed.

      Water Temp: 74

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: took pops out for some father/son time competition. Things started out well for me with some nice 2's and 3's. My dad caught on with what I was doing to catch them, and thats when fun time turned into trash talking time. He was on the back seat wacky wormin 6" worms and he was killin me. There was one stretch where he caught 3 in a row...all solid sized fish. he started to get into my head with each little jab he threw at me with each fish he caught. He was awfully quiet in the morning...but he was all laughs and smiles with all the fish we boated. Biggest only at 5lbs...but we caught tons of chunks near holland tract. The biggest ticket for us was the low tide and right at the start of the transition from low to hi tide. Worms were the ticket here, withces T, delta special, arons magic. Pretty much any bluegill related color got them to bite. Drop shots and wack rigs were the meal ticket.

Even though i got whacked by my dad, the trip was fun and all the sweeter to hang out with pops.
      City: ec

Tips: Tule Berms with a big deep drop. All banks on the east side were working for us...shaded pockets, and shaded areas next to isolated tule clumps...had all the fish positioned for us to key in on. if you havent caught on with wacky worming...youre missing out!!!

      Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lousy day of fishing...Partly our fault...We put in in mid-afternoon (about 1:30) the air temp was only about 80-85 and we tried everything. I missed a couple on Senkos and that was about it for the firstseveral hours. My Uncle landed one on D-shot and another couple on flukes. I however got blanked until the sun started to set. At that point I switched over to top water and had 2 quick blow ups. Both were 2lbs or so, 1 LM 1 Spot, and that was that.
      City: Grass Valley

Tips: This lake is way down, 10-15 feet lower than the last time we were on the water. All decent structure I was aware of is now out of the water. If you have GPS now would be a time to go mark way points for when the lake fills again.

Report: Got a late start, fished 1030-1440. Spent bulk of time fishing senkos and drop shotting around Frank's on the receeding high tide...caught nothing but alot of wind which made fishing difficult. Switched to weighted brush hog in/on weedline for last hour, before being blowed off the water, finally landing some nice ones-- largest fish 6#.
      City: Frank's Tract

Tips: Watch what all the more experienced guys are doing around you.
