      Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

      Report: Out on water from 3-8. Only 3 fish all on weightless senkos, biggest going about 2 lbs. Lots of weeds everywhere. Tried cranking, dropshot, and in the evening spinner, buzz, and frog, with no takers.

      Tips: Fish caught on outside weedline and isolated patches of grass.

      Report: Started at 10am. Didn't get any bites on senko, wacky rigged, nada. Jig, nada. Was going to give up at 2pm, but decided to use a horny toad. Got 2 fish 3 and a 4 pounder. called it the day. Too windy.. when will we start getting the nice clam summer weather??

      Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

      Report: Launched out of Mocasin, and stayed in the area across from Ferry Memorial Bridge. Caught around 12 fish for the day, with the biggest going almost 3 lbs. Carolina rigged zoom trick worms in watermelon/purple flake and pro blue worked well casting across points. Fish were probably suspended somewhere around 15-30 ft. since they were just grabbing and swimming off with it. Caught some on Yamamoto twin tail grubs in chocolate with black and small gold flake around wood close to the bank up the creek a bit. If you don't mind the lake lice, it is a great fishery even with the lower lake level.

      Tips: Fish slow!!! Drag a carolina rig using 3/16 weight across points with a current. You don't have to dropshot to catch fish and have a rewarding day on this lake in the middle of summer!

      Report: Wow good job ant!!! This is an awesome lake and your experience proves it. I went up this evening for about an hour and threw a little topwater bait right at the ramp on the Chowchilla side and caught 3 up to 3 lbs. Saw a pair of deer,a family of Raccoons and 2 owls-very relaxing little tripto one of my favorite lakes.Tight Lines and yes PLEASE practice catch and release!!!!

      Report: Had a normal day on folsom.best 5 went 14lbs with a 5.2 kicker all bites came on white on white blades in 5-12 ft range .

      Tips: Hit the first rock pile out from the ramp .There are fish on that spot all year .Find the bite for the day and run and gun....good to see jim is back

      Report: Much more difficult fishing without the smoke cover. We caught about 10 for the day. I was not responsible for 6 of those fish. The big fish for the day was about 4lbs (I actually dumped it at the boat, but it was close enough to net and I actually touched it so I am counting it). I broke off two nice fish (time to switch back to 8lb test) and we missed about 10 bites. The fish were nibbling on the end of the worm but not taking the whole darthead. I tried dropshotting for deeper fish and caught one rat. All fish came on dartheads. My favorite worm was outshined by the jerk in the back of the boat using a green pumpkin worm- thanks Dave, you are no longer welcome on my boat.

      Report: Hi everyone!!! This is my first fishing report since before Memorial Day weekend
      when I became ill and had to have a quadrupel bypass. Fortunately I am recovering
      well and eager to get back to fishing on my own. This past weekend was a full moon
      but my family will not allow me to take my boat out yet. My son found a cove in the
      Narrows where he beached his pontoon boat and spent the day. Just for fun they put
      out a couple of rods with hotdogs for bait and scored seven catfish and three carp.
      Saturday my wife and I joined our son and his wife on their boat and headed towards
      the same cove. Unfortunatley that spot was taken so we found a similar cove. Using my
      wife's secret formula of corn meal and vanilla extract I lay on the back of the pontoon
      boat enjoying the sunshine and holding on to the fishing rod. Everyone else was in the
      water when I got hit big time. I yelled for help (I'm still a little weak when it comes to
      reeling in a big guy) and my daughter-inlaw reeled the fish in for me and my son netted
      it. It turned out to be a six pound carp which gave us a great fight on four pound test
      line and light rod. When we got back to the marina I stayed at my boat and fished for
      awhile. I was joined by Nick and Scott and we had fun catching carp to eight pounds.
      I am very proud of Nick. He is ten years old and he caught three good size carp and
      his friend Scott helped him net the fish. That evening Nadar and his cousin caught five
      catfish no size to speak of on hotdogs. Nick and all his friends caught a carp near the
      cabin on hotdogs. My neighbor at the Marina and his father went out to the east side
      of the lake today (Sunday) and trolled between 20 and 30 feet using a lure that went
      down six to eight feet and caught twelve bass up to 2.5 pounds. Last week using the
      same system they caught a five and an eight pounder. Hopefully I will be able to start
      using my boat again by this weekend and have some great stories to share with you.

      Report: The Galaxie Marine Junior Bass Masters fished a tournament today. With light wind and good water, most of them used darter head with a worm or a grub. Drop shot and a Texas rig also was one way to catch those dinks. Crankin and a spinner bait in the morning wind. With a three fish limit the winning weight was 3.80 lbs. Not bad for these young Anglers.
      If you know of any young anglers ages from 11-18 that want to get into a club and fish once a mounth, just e mail me. we have a great time too.

      Report: I've been out four times this week. One pre- fish two with clients and one all night Anglers Choice Tournament. At best, the fishing has been really good but the smoke was still out in the begining of the week. As of now, the smoke has cleared and you can have a great day on the lake. In the morning we used top water spooks and vixons. They have been very productive and the colors really didn't matter. Tubes, senko's, jigs and drop shots are all working. At night, top water vixons were working as well as the spinner baits in any color. All trips had from 6 to 8 over and the two biggest were 2.5 and 2.9. The whole lake has been fishing well.

      Tips: If you have not been fishing any top water, start your morning off and throw some. The bite has been awesome. After the sun hits the water start going deeper with any of the methods above and try some lipless crank bait in the afternoon. You will get some of the hardest hits youv'e had all year.

      Report: Started fishing from the bank when they opened at 8:00 am. 15 minutes later, near the small dam close to the launch ramp, I got a 7+ lber on a buzzbait! Kept throwing the buzz, but that bite must have been slowing down as I got no more takers.

      Switched to a green pumpkin senko T-rigged weightless and got a couple near the big dam around 10:30. One of those went 3.5 lbs. All fish caught fishing the near in weed line that is castable from the shoreline.

      Too bad they won't let you in earlier than 8:00 am!

      Tips: Topwater early, senko when the sun gets higher. Fish on the shady edges of the weeds.

      Report: Launched at 5:30am fished till 3pm. My brother and I landed total of seven fish three smallies and four LARGE MOUTH BASS. Im not too familiar with the lake but hear from guys who fish it frequently say that there are no spotted bass in pardee. Man I am not sure what to think at this point LOL. Anyhow Most of my fish came from dropshotting roboworms oxblood w/redflakes at around 5-20 feet of water. four of the seven was caught on craw color jigs deepest fish caught on jig was at 25-80 feet (my brother caught one at that depth dont have to believe me but its true) BTW there are mud-lines if you can call it that there are clay deposits in the earth and it creates a merky light brown color stain in the water I spotted two of them along the arms of the lake fished them with no luck.

      Tips: after the morning bite jig deep for fish as temps rise they go deeper.

      Report: I also fished the full moon Friday night. This was a 2 part trip. One to go diving and retrieve a pole I had lost several weeks ago. After finding the pole we started fishing at about 7pm. Caught several fish on the frog one at 6 1/2lbs,5lbs and one at 4lbs. Other topwater fish were caught on a yellow and white knuckle head. They wiould not touch a Fluke this time. A slow retrieve with long pauses. After the sun went down we switched up to a dropshot and small tube setup. Caught another dozen + fish from 1 1/2-3lbs. Left at about 1230am.

      Tips: Frog, cast on shore and pop into water around the left over weeds seemed to trigger the strikes. The worm fish were caught on 4/1/2 robo worms im MM3 and the soft shell crawdad pattern.Tube fish wer caught on the shear drop offs .Set up parrallel to the bank. It seems that the fish are suspening in the deeper water moving up to feed.

      Report: my brothers and I decided to try our luck on some night fishing on the full moon we got on the water at 10pm started with top water poppers buzz baits frogs with no luck.then we tried 12 inch power worms brush hogs and robo worms we caught our first fish at about 3 am but didnt measure we didnt catch our next fish until 5am on a margarita mutilator but it didnt measure either we finally caught a 5 lbs LM on a droppshot MM we caught a total of 19 fish 2 5 pounders and the rest didnt make the cut all the fish were so warm if they were any hotter they would of been poached.

      Report: I fished the night tournament on Saturday night and the water conditions remain unchanged. The wind blew all day so when my partner and I got on the water we started with cranks. We had a limit in 30-45 minutes but once the sun went down we struggled for the rest of the evening.I caught a buzzbait fish and another crank fish around midnight and again we struggled. Last place my partner caught two fish on worms and we came to the scales with a meager 12+ pounds. Hats off to those who found the better fish as all the teams weighed in limits.

      Tips: Shad colored cranks during daylight/ crawfish colored at night. Fished parallel to bank just on the tops of the wood. Black buzzbait was my only topwater fish.

      Report: Hey frank I went to to the lake a few weeks ago I went down to the nice area and yes the lake was reel low there and lots of weeds so much that had problems with my motor boging down , also had problems launching boat there , so we went out of the oak public launch site and had no problems their didnt get to the konocti side so I can't tell you about that we didn't get on the water till about 10 am we only picked up a few in the 2 to 3 lbs range on plastics drop shotting tons of bait fish I have never seen so many bait fish in my life. in fact when you threw your lure in they would start jumping and it looked like it was raining good luck if you need some body to go with you give me an E-mail good luck , also weeds are not near as bad on oaks south side of lake

      Report: After "rescuing" my southern Calif clients last Sunday (thanks for the nice report!), I had a new experience at Clear Lake - a pro fly-fisherman who threw neat looking bass patterns the whole trip. I knew the bite would be tough for him with the weeds and deeper fish. He would have done well 2 months ago! Anyway, he missed a couple and did land one right off the tip of Buckingham Point. I fished Senkos (301,330) trying to find shallow fish for him and caught about 10 - nothing over 3 1/4 lbs.

      Tips: What fish I found were in isolated clumps of weeds about 8 to 12 feet deep. Actually, the best bite was after 11 am. Weird year!

      Report: I took my little girls, 5 and 10 years old out in search of salmon and bass. We found 70 feet of water and dropped bait down and immediately hooked a salmon. This went on for two hours until we had 15 of them and we stopped. Awesome time and my little girls reeled their arms off. There was very little waiting for action. The bass fishing started around noon and the only bites I could get were in 20-25 feet when I found bait. We caught a dozen with the last few very close to the dam where the bait was stacked from top to bottom. Bass caught on drop shot 4"worms. I caught 3 largemouth as well and I beieive a real smallmouth too.

      Tips: I don't beleive I burned 2 gallons of boat gas. I just fished the main body points you can see from bidwell.

      Report: On the water at noon. Despite the high winds, there were still quite a few boats on the lake. We started off the day throwing dropshots and jigs way up north, and picked up a few 1-2 pounders. The south facing banks that were protected from the wind had a significant amount of weed growth. Some off the deeper weed beds, 10 ft +, were holding fish. Trying to catch some larger fish, we moved south past the bridge. Usually this is quite a productive area, but today it was dead. The last few hours we fished main lake points with rock. Fishing jigs at around 20-25 feet, we caught 10 bass including one a little over 3 pounds. Then just before heading in I caught a nice 4 pounder on a popper while fishing a steep rock wall.

      Report: I took an 11 year old future bass pro from Georgia - visiting his aunt and uncle. All four of us had a very nice trip, especially watching the lad land many bass with his very solid hookset. The fishing was good enough in the narrows to spend our day there. The bite was a little slower than previous trips and I felt slower summer fishing has settled in (night fishing being better). He landed 7 or 8, uncle got a few, aunt missed a few, and I landed 6 or 7. We caught all three species but nothing over 2 lbs 3 oz. Couldn't seem to get the drop-shot bites going - caught all of them split-shotting 4 and 6 inch Robo and Power worms. Points were the best structure we found and the fish were about 15 to 20 feet deep.

      Tips: I found a few schools of shad but couldn't find any feeding bass in them. They might have hit a spoon but I didn't have any on board. We had a short window of action yesterday - best bite was only about 3 hours - 9 am to noon. Don't know why.
