Boated only 3 fish. biggest of them was 3.5lbs. Missed alot of bites!!! I guess fish does bite even with the crazy 20mph gust.. Mainly biting on deadly ringer. caught 1 on wacky senko. bites on jig, but, couldnt boat it.
City: San FranciscoTips: The wind needs to stop and the system needs to kick in so that we can start fishing frogs!!

Report: Launched at russo's ran to disco picked up 5 fish 2-3 pounds on slammers and senkos. Ran to widows got a few frog fish and a buzzbait fish, refueled with some cold drinks at rivers end. My partner got a 7# on a frog and we added 2 or 3 more frog fish, widows again senkos for a few more fish. Then we called it a day. not too bad about 19#s for best 5.
City: Where the fish areTips: throw topwater all day, and bring your senkos. blades and traps wouldnt be too day either, but there wasn't much wind. Shade is key.

Water Temp: 80-85
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A friend of mine asked me to help him pre-fish for a tournament - and of course I did! We started about 4 pm out of the Oaks and quit about 1 am. Fishing was great with very few slow periods. We caught 60 bass at least and he got a pretty good one at 6 lbs 2 oz. We caught mostly 2 to 3 pounders like everyone else, but several in the 3 1/2 to 4 1/4 range. Our 5 best - about 22 lbs. Bass depths ranged from surface (frog bite) to about 20+ feet. We fished all three areas of the lake. The smoke cleared enough that we could see Lakeport at midnight from the narrows. Hot, hot, hot during the afternoon - be careful!!
City: Yuba cityTips: I can't say anything about our baits and locations. As I do for all my clients and friends - if they are fishing an up-coming tourney - mums the word! Last night was one of the only nights I can remember where the bite was really good but the carp were silent. Didn't hear any roll - probably because of their post-spawn. I still think the bass overall look a little thin - hope the shad make a comeback! Water is the clearest I have ever seen in July - at least yesterday. A little floating algae but not much.

Report: Hey guys, sorry I haven't posted lately, the computer age has pretty much passed me by. The d*mn thing just won't cooperate. Anyway, the last Jason Fisher Tourney is this Sat the 12th. It's another "Take a Kid Fishing" event. It's a team format, but a 3rd team member is allowed if they're under 15. We'll have a little kids tourney after the weigh-in where the kids will be able to win a really nice Rod-Reel combo. So bring your kid(s) and let's have some fun. I'll be at the Trinity Center ramp @ 4 AM to take sign-ups ( only $40.00) and the Fisher family will be hosting a BBQ after. What more could you want. If you need more details, give me a call @ 530-623-4352.
City: WeavervilleTips: If you can't make it this weekend, just go ahead and take a kid fishing anyway.

Report: Fished big break about and hour, tried senko, missed a couple of bites. Great nice day by the way. started at 930am. Still not getting any action. Switched to Blk Jig with a black tail grub. First cast hooked an 8 lber. Called it a day. almost ran out of gas. Does anyone know where to fill up gas near the big break marina? thanks
City: SFTips: Nice day with a small little breeze. Jig is the way to go!!

Camp Far West Lake
-
Water Temp: 81.5 - 85
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Headed out to do a boat/trollin motor ops check, and all was good thank goodness. Ofcourse brought a few rods I headed back towards the rock creek and fished the Island area instead since water levels are down a ways. I cranked a dink spot, hooked up with another one, but came unbuttoned before I could get it in the boat. Around 1125 it was really hot, so I moved up the river arm and drop shotted a gulp minnow for a 10" smallie, a new one for me? Then 1145 came around and could not keep the sweat out of my eyes, and called it a day.
City: Yuba CityTips: The water is definitley a tad cooler in the river arm, and better clarity as well. Watch out for swimmers out in the middle of the boating channels almost ran over three of them, I ended up giving the a ride back to the dock from across the first main lake point diagnol to the left from the boat dock! They wanted to swim over and back just to see if they could do it, of the four only one made it back, the other three were almost victims of my prop. I shut it down about 60' away from them.

Report: Jason and I fished in Frank's trac's, first bass came on a vexen, then a Senko watermelon/red, black/blue, frog and a Greenpumkin brush hog. Fisherman's cut was good. Most the bass were 2-5 lbs on the rocky banks when tide was high. Tide was slow moving out, so we cranked a speed trap out side the weed line and around the clumps to find more. The boaters came out early so we went in around noon.
City: RocklinTips: top water was slow but senkos and brush hogs Texas style

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Lucerne at sunrise and started throwing frogs at our first stop. I was pretty dissapointed in the topwater bite. The heavy boat traffic may have had something to do with it. Caught 2 small fish on the frog and had a good blowup on the Shellcracker that I missed. Spent the day fishing from Kono Tayee down to Nice stopping at different spots along the way. I wasn't expecting much action with all the boat traffic but had a really good day. Caught about 35 fish between 2 of us most coming on senkos sweet beavers and small swimbaits. Fished for about an hour in the morning shallow with limited success. Then we figured out the fish were sitting on the outside of isolated weed beds in 12 -15 feet of water. Thats where most our fish were caught. Caught a few quality fish but most in the 2 to 3 pound range. At about 1 in the afternoon the fish moved in shallow and we caught quite a few in 3 feet of water. Strange for how hot it was. Great day considering all the skiers and wakeboarders that were out.
City: Yuba CityTips: Sunscreen!

Report: Beautiful Day today and man the skiers thought so to went out about 7a fished till about 11:30a down in the oaks area just drop shotin a Keeper Junebug worm caught about a dozen fish in the 2lb to 3lb range. Even though it's Sunday the Boat traffic from the holiday weekend is still pretty heavy so the wife and I went on home and will go back about wed or thur after things have calmed down

Berryessa Lake

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Took my wife fishing bet her $100.00 and a back massage that she could not catch a bass with a bluegill swim bait. She won 5 cast later. She caught another keeper on a wild eye swim bait. Caught my P.B. 7.14 LB on a dater head off a marked underwater island. Finished early due to engine water pump issue.
City: W.SacTips: Berryessa is in beter shape water level wise than other area lakes. I hear Folsom will be reduced to 5mph by the end of the month.

Water Temp: 81
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Holiday boat traffic impacted fishing in a major way. The best bite was early morning from 6-8AM. Caught 22 bass. 12 were top water and 7 on drop shot. Caught 2 pigs way over 5 lbs each, 23" long. One exploded on my Pop R and the other on a Sara Spook in the river area off steep walls. The drop shot were taken in 4-20ft off rocky points using a 4" cut tail worm.
City: Foster CityTips: Top water early and late. Drop shot in the middle of the day. Take a nap during the hot part of the day. Good luck.

Water Temp: 70-74
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Its kind of a late report but oh well.I went out with a friend Friday. We hit the water at 545. It was windier then hell...2 footers....we started over at long tulie throwin senkos and Frogs...i picked up 1 nice little 2 and a half on the ol Froggie...we concentratd north....we fished just out off of state park throwing whacky rig 5" senkos...we had a pretty decent day...between 28 to 30 fish. Rite before we left i picked up our biggest one of the day...4 pounder...considering the wind and the skiers...and the heat...it turned out to be a pretty good day.
City: UkiahTips: The fish are out in about 10-12 foot of water...throw whacky rig senkos....specifically 5 "....i tryed 6 inch got a few bites but the 5 is more productive...throw into pockets in weed beds...and hold on...they're not bitng hard so pay attention.Bring lots of fluid...sunscreen...and patience...cuz the skiers get annoying...have fun...tite lines!

Collins Lake
-
Water Temp: 77-80
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Decided to try Collins again due to the good bite we had there last week, not so lucky this time. Found fish, just not to many takers. Caught 0 fish in the morning on top water, it was an odd morning to say the least. Starting throwing soft plastic and crank baits and caught fish. The fish we caught ranged from 5-10 foot deep. Nothing over 2.5 lbs.
City: Grass ValleyTips: Collins is busy with recreational boaters, this helps create some mud lines but not much else. Watch out for them, had 3 boats nearly colide right infront of us. We decided to call it a day at that point. Just BE SAFE and have fun.
