      Water Temp: Cold

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished for 3 hours and managed 1 bass about 6 lbs on a basstrix swimbait in shad pattern. Also had a monster trout roll on this bait at the weed line. Bass was landed in the back cove by the swim lagoon in about 4 feet of water. fish seem to be moving up a bit but not ready for any spawning activity yet. I know from many past years that with a warming trend they should start appearing on the banks at the beginning to middle of March. However, be prepared for fluctuating water levels as this is when the water dept. does drastic things to lake level. Bass will get very confused for about a month after they initially move up.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Good luck. Right now swimbaits and suspending jerkbaits seem to be the ticket. In a month or so the jig bite will be on and this is when an experienced jig fisherman will pick up some monsters. Last year my best 2 fish went 14.2 and 12.4 lbs....all quality fish fell for jigs. 5 fish over 10 lbs. There are color patterns that after much experimenting, I found were much better than others if presented in the right locations. You'd be very surprised where some of the biggest females have had "beds".

      Water Temp: 53.5

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Checked out Disappointment Slough and White Slough yesterday but the water is just too dirty to catch anything without hitting it on the head... I caught only one bass and it was small (probably under 1 pound). Today I visited Sycamore Slough and the water was much clearer and warmer. No luck though but it won't be long now... March is right around the corner and the weather has been consistantly fantastic.

Tips: It's brutal out there, but anything beats staying home!

      Water Temp: 48-52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I made a quick trip to the lake Sat afternoon to see what was going on. I started around 1 pm and fished a little over 4 hours. I went out of Red Bud and started across the lake, fishing tule/rock areas. My first bass came quickly in about 6 feet of water, 2 lbs 15 oz. About 2 hours for the second one, less than 2 lbs on some off-shore rock. About 4 pm, the short trip became worth it when I landed a fat bass an ounce or 2 under 5 lbs. Talk about healthy - my goodness - what a girth!! I think I had another fish on, but not sure. No bite whatsoever for the three I landed. Beautiful afternoon weatherwise - just great to be there!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: All three of the bass were hooked on a Berkley 4" green pumpkin Power Worm and 6 lb test line. Hey - I wanted some bites!!! I did a fair amount of rippin' - nothing for me. No jig bites either. I talked to some nice guys after I took the boat out and they did get a rip fish or two - one maybe 5 lbs - so it can happen!! My three were from 6 to 12 feet deep - on rock.

Report: Beautiful day lousy fishing. Nice to be in the lake but we did not figure it out. Tiger is always good for a few nice ones no matter what the conditions, but today was not that kind of day. Started out in cherry trying drop offs and points as well as flats. Plastic, crank baits, spinner baits, t-rig, drop shot all zippo. Did find one, apparently he was lost from all the others, fish in the south end. 2.1lb t-rig. Others in the parking lot said they did not fair well either.
      City: Pacifica

Tips: We need to learn how to fish the stained/muddy water better....saw alot of places that would be great when the water is 64 and clear!

Report: Pretty much same for me as the 2 previous posts. From 10am to 4pm fished all over main body using plastics (dropshotting and texas), jigs, and smaller swimbaits. No bites. Marked several stacks of fish deep at 60-70' on steep dropoffs off western shore but jigs didn't work. With the temp at the mouth of north fork at 46 I didn't try there.
      City: Penryn, CA

Tips: Maybe better when weather changes in few days.
