      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the 1st Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club tournament of the year out of Yorty Creek. Ended up with 7 bites and was lucky enough to put them all in the float tube. 3 smaller fish on a dropshot in about 15 feet of water. The other 4 fish came on 3/4 ounce jigs in around 30 feet. Ended up with the best 5 going 20.02lbs. All the fish were on points except one small dropshot fish near the ramp on riprap. Very tough day in windy, rainy, cold stained water.
      City: Penngrove

Tips: Jigs deep (30ft) for bigger fish. Dropshot for keepers (10-20ft). Main points into spawning areas. This bite will only last a few more weeks before the fish start to move shallow and farther back into spawning areas.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got out on Saturday for a few hours early in the morning before the high winds and heavy rain came. Saw one fish taken by another angler on a crankbait near Shag Rock. I got bit twice using a hand poured beaver on a shakey head. Landed one fish a chunky 3lber. The winds picked up and skies opened so I headed back to the marina and was back on the road home by 10:30AM.
      City: Petaluma, CA

Tips: The one item I'll note here with this report is the two bites I had were very, very aggressive. Not the winter time pressure bites at all. Spring time is just about here on the pond. Ohh yes :)

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished a club tournament- went out blind with no practice. Caught 4 fish- 2 on a 6" swimbait and 2 on dartheads. All fish came past the second bridge on secondary points/coves. In fact, we caught all of our fish within 1/4 mile of each other. Best weight in the tourney was 14lbs. Out of 20 boats, only five limits. We took 6th with 6 lbs.
      City: Elk Grove

Tips: Fish are in 25 plus feet...no bites shallow. All but one fish were on the bottom- not suspended. The swimbait bite is on...to bad I broke mine off. Hint- 6" fish trap type on a 1/2 oz head. Let sink all the way to the bottom in 30 feet then retrieve parallel to shore.

      Water Temp: 42-49

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went out to do some pre fishing Wednesday. Thought I would just focus on the Main Body. The morning bite was pretty good concidering the full moon and a new cold front that came in. The afternoon bite was non exsistant. The usual jigs and tubes provided the hits but the presentation was still very slow. This weekend should acually be better but the weather will be very windy and rainy.
      City: Paradise

      Tips: Keep fishing very slow.

      Water Temp: 50-53

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Went out with my buddy John and had a great time with one problem. We only got 2 fish. T-Rig junebug ~ 10 ft. Both fish by 10am in the skiers cove area. No takers after that at all. Threw swimbait on the east shore 5-20 feet no takers yet. Tried the dam and points along the way no luck. Tried jig, drop shot, crank bait, jerk bait, rattle trap, chatter bait and split shot all with no luck. We tried behind the big island no luck there either. Fog in the am till almost 11:00. Overall a beautiful day at the lake weather wise, we just didn't figure them out. Water was green but not lcear yet. Fished with two other friends one got 4 (1 for dad and 3 for Sean!)and the other had not luck at all. Drop shot was probably the way to go but we wanted to try some other things that day. SLOW was the key for us to the little success we had.

      Water Temp: 49-54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I took a father and his 13 year old son today for a "teach the lake" trip. We started about 9 am out of Markley, hoping to get a good afternoon bite. It was short, but we did get one. I should say my new favorite 13 year old client had a good bite! Wow - he caught most of the 11 bass landed and he boated the two biggest - 2 1/2 and 2 lb 5 oz spots. He never lost a fish once hooked!! He missed a few bites. He was deadly with his drop-shot Loomis rod and 6" MMIII Robo worm! Dad caught a bass on the first cast of the day - that ruined his trip, har! They really had a nice limit - about 9 lbs. I was a happy guide!
      City: Yuba City

Tips: The narrows was fogged in when we started but it soon was a beautiful day - very little wind. Best bite was 1 to 3 pm, mostly on subtle points in the narrows. Fish seemed to be in 15 to 25 feet of water. Really didn't catch anything too deep and banks needed sun on them. I tried a little rippin' and crankin' - nothing. Jigs, nothing. Spooning, nothing. A pure worm bite, such as it was. The lad really understands a pressure bite - wonderful to see in one so young!

Report: launched lazy m in Byron.
Found some water plants in stained water, not muddy. After checking my usual spots, with no results.
      managed 2 fish, 3.5 and 2 lber.
caught on a jig wth a yum trailer and a yum dark worm with a silver tip.
      City: Union city

Tips: Rains will muddy the water up again, so I guess I'll hold up until end March.

Trying to stay with the dark stuff w/ big profile. That what the pros say.

      Water Temp: 49-52

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Started the day off great, stuck a 6 ponder in the first ten casts. The fish pounded my WeedSlinger swim bait in about 4ft of water, hit it like a real toad. After that it was slow going. Threw everything from shallow to deep water. Fished weed lines to flooded timber with no luck. It was about 6-7 hrs later when my partner stuck a 7.9 ponder at the end of the day. We tried to stay away from the muddy water and find water that was just stained. It is hard to do but you will find water the has about 6 inches more visibility that most of the muddy stuff flowing in the river right now. First fish was in about 4ft of water, the seconded was in about 1 ft of water. Not the best day but I will take those two good fish any day.
      City: Stockton

Tips: Fish like a die hard, the bite you get are good ones

Report: Fished out of Paradise today and not one nibble. Talked to 3 different guys as they came in and only one caught fish. After watching this damn Seal eat this 8lber and then finish off his day with what looked like a 5lber I kind of know where the fish went. This Seal must have staked out his territory from Paradise all the way down to White Slough. Is there anyway to get rid of a pest like that? Attention Fish and Game if you are reading this, that thing is ruining the Fishing for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We threw everything you can possibly offer and then some and not one nibble. Went down Disappointment, White and beyond and saw nothing but Muddy water. The water was High too.
